I just found this out it's in EGM but they've been known to do this especially with Sonic in SSBM. And since aprils coming up they've been known to pull this stuff before. For those who cant see it well yes that is Mario it's going to be wii exclusive and have over 40 nintendo characters as well as characters from the last game. I just hope that is pre mushroom form mario or otherwise im idolizing a midget.

If it's true it will probably be just as fun as the first two KH's to come out and maybe more so with Mario and friends involved.

I believe that also, but the thing is it's way to early to pull an april fools joke.

Well, don't forget Chain of Memories. Either way, yeah, it's a prank. There's no way that that could happen.

And remember Solid Snake is going to be in SSBB and Metal Gear is pretty much a Sony exclusive. So maybe this is kind of trade off.

But I think it's fake anyways. Wasn't it a different kid in the last game anyways? That looks like the same one from the first game. And if it were true, I would have read something about it on IGN, or Gamespot, or Nintendo Power. And further more, how would that kind of game make use of the Wii-mote?

Metal Gear started off as a Nintendo "exclusive" not to mention the only game that has not been ported was pt3 so anything can happen but I do think this is there official AFJ but the last time I thought they were pulling a joke was Conkers Bad Fur day.

No, Roxas was only playable for the first few hours. After that, it's mainly Sora.

Same as Legend of Zelda. Twilight Princess and Kingdom Hearts are very similar games.

And yes, it is fake. Another site said it WAS the April Issue.

I like the idea of a game of Kingdom Hearts where, instead of Final Fantasy characters, they have Nintendo characters. or instead of Disney Worlds, they have Nintendo worlds.

That would rock. I'm a Nintendo Fanboy.

ya its a joke. nothing on kh3 has been stated yet that its story will not contain sora or any other main chars from kh1/2 and khcom. they did say its possible it might be a multiplatform game which in my mind is a horrible idea...i hate it when companys do that and then each version has differnt stuff then the other so u really never have the "compleat" game/story.....and to top it off japan is getting a final mix of kh2 with a ps2 port of khcom that has been remaid using the kh2 engine....ya not fair...... :-x

Well I found this and it is real It's a DS game containing Mario and Dragon Quest Characters.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itadaki_Street_DS
This means Nintendo and Square Enix are working together i dont know if that adds any support to the validity of Mushroom Kingdom Hearts but the companies are working together on some games.

I've not heard anything from any of the major VG websites about something like that. If it is true we would have been hearing about it for some time now. It would also get a much bigger push then just on the DS I would like to think.

Itadaki Street is very real. It's a Japanese only series, which is why no major English website is discussing it. Plenty of Final Fantasy fansites do, however.

As for Square-Enix working with Nintendo, that's nothing new. Square has a fairly large handful of games planned for Nintendo consoles in the near future.

KH + Mario will undoubtably not be one of them. It'd be a giant liscensing disaster in a game that is already a liscensing mess. Besides this, Disney would never let the Plumber play on an equal footing to their characters(Every character, even Sora/Riku/Kairi/etc belongs to Disney, with teh exception of the Final Fantasy characters). Beyond this, Nintendo would never let their biggest mascot play second fiddle to Disney or Final Fantasy characters. It won't happen.

This is nothing more than an April Fool's joke(EGM and other gaming magazines regularly run a few weeks to a month ahead of time. It's not the first time their april fool's joke has hit in March) based on the fact that Nomura did promise Kingdom Hearts news within the next few months.

Since im subscribed to EGM i just got the issue and yeah this is most likely fake, they didn't even devote a whole page to it but half a page. If it were real they would at least have an entire devoted to it since it would be as popular as Snake coming to SSBM. If this is real i will be very suprised.

I figured it was an April Fools day joke. A shame, as it would be a great game I'm sure, but it's not in the cards. Itadaki Street on the other hand sounds very interesting. I wonder if it will ever be brought into english context. :-?

Unfortunately, probably not. It's essentially Square-Enix's answer to the Mario Party series, and games like that already don't do wonderfully in the West, let alone without the star power of Mario(as much as you or I may like our Final Fantasy stars, they don't have the brand recognition of Mario here).

If the last one for the Ps2 didn't make it out here, it never will. That game was HUGE and Square pulled out all stops for it. If they weren't willing to localize that, I can't see them localizing any other editions of the game.

You have to admit, though, a Super Smash Bros. game in the style of Kingdom Hearts would be awesome.

There would be a world for each Nintendo game, like each Disney movie. (Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Kirby, Metroid, Castlevania, et al.) Instead of Donald and Goofy, you'd have Luigi and Toad, and instead of King Mickey, you'd have Mario.

If the whole idea wasn't a ripoff of Kingdom Hearts, I'd suggest it to Nintendo myself.

Imagining Mario wielding two keyblades makes me happy. That just shows how much of a Nintendo Fanboy I am.

Even though it's been established that the article was the yearly April Fool's joke, the clue in the article was that there would be over 41 Nintendo characters.

April 1st= 4/1.

Now to go play as Tails in SSBM, then play some Lord of The Rings Kart Racer, play some Virtua Hamster on my Sega Neptune, make the girls nude in DOA Volleyball for X-Box, and finally I'll boot up some Windwaker re-done with Twilight Princess graphics :P .

For those who don't know, those are the April Fool's jokes EGM did the past few years. This actually is a little bit TOO obvious in my opinion.

k, now that we've established that it's fake lets do a whatif
now if it were real who whould you have liked to have seen. In the game. hey lets not limit it to just nintendo, lets say all videogames who would you like to see in the game.

I would find it interesting if they went to God of War or Prince of persia, Legacy of Kain, or even tomb raider so the game could change to a more platform base for those levels.
