Chinese news site Chongqing Evening News has reported that more Age of Extinction filming is beginning in Wulong Karst Geology Park, China. A part of the South China Karst chapter of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage sites, and the site of a rare geological and ecological limestone karst, the article says that teams have been previously sent to observe the location for its possible use in the film. The article also claims that this specific location will have utmost importance in the upcoming film.



Also worth noting, the article calls the film "Extinct Rebirth", quite possibly confirming the film's Chinese title.

think i figured out the plot: humans use cybertron tech to create dinobots then unicron shows up & turns megs into galvatron & resurrects his troops. Throw in some campy love story & a **** load of explosions & you have TF4.

Just had my wife take a look at the article, and the google translations are pretty close.

Only other notable parts were my wife read 'Transformers forces' as 'Transformers group'. This might be me reading too much into a bay movie, but might this mean faction? Predacons? Dinobots etc?

Might just be hype from the article, but the first part reads something like "filming the most important part" of the movie. Might be the that this is where final scenes are being filmed?

i'm down with that. not exactly what i'd want.. but sounds good enough.. i just hope the dinobots aren't "bad guys" the entire movie.

We're fighting an uphill battle. I think you and I are the only folks that seem to have this opinion. Granted, I've voiced this strongly enough in the past to carry the weight of at least 3 people myself...

I really don't even think they'll even give us a live action movie with Unicron in it anyway since Predacons Rising is a movie that already did just that, as well as giving us several fanboy wishes for the live action movies. Like, it gave us a Cybertron-based story, less Optimus/Megatron, Megatron upgrading to a form not named "Megatron", Bumblebee permanently speaking, focus on the supporting Autobots/Decepticons, no humans, and more. It almost feels like they gave us Preds Rising as a movie with all of these things in it so they wouldn't feel obligated to give us a live action movie with these same things. The only other major thing fans have asked for that we didn't get in that movie is Dinobots, but we're getting those in AoE anyway.

Saber I would be ok with Unicron but I wouldnt bring in Uni until Movie number 6 while I would use movies 4 & 5 to build up Unicron, I would also use Primus. But my Primus would be diffrent than anything ever used it would be Small & Mysterious. Also I would do Unicron in a new Way such as my Primus is.

Also My Dinobots wouldnt be Dinosaurs, as I said they are no Dinos in the modern world. So I say make Grimlock into a Huge Earth Mover. As I said the Dinobots in Movie-Verse would be goofy in their Robotic Modes.

Also I willing to bet that this Group wouldnt be MECH but it would be something like MECH. Kesley Grammar is likely the leader of the group trying to Reverse Egineer The Dead Megatron.

While we saw Megatron this could simply mean that that Faction could be doing a similar deal like Sector 7 did with NBE 1 using it to make Modern day TECH that we all use.

But this group is taking it a step futher & they made something beyond thier Control aka THE DINOBOTS.

My Chinese isrudimentary at best, but it more or less means "the resurrection of the extinct."
