The Cybertron Satellite campaign has been kicking around for awhile, and one might ask, what's the purpose of it? Alfes 2010 found out what the commotion and promotion was all about, as he reaped one of the rewards of the Cybertron Satellite - the varying coloured matrices! As seen in the November 2012 issue of Hyber Hobby (scans courtesy of ModXToy), there are fourteen different matrices for the fourteen different Primes of Japan: Akiba, Kawasaki, Tachikawa, Umeda, Nagoya, Saitama, Ginza, Mito, Sapporo, Itami, Fukutusu, Ikebukuro, Yokohama, and Sendai. More than just a keychain, each matrix can fit inside MP-10 Optimus Prime, and his subsequent repaints! Alfes 2010 was able to obtain the Mito Matrix, which is colored gold with a purple crystal, which coincides with Mito Prime's colors. Unfortunately there's a catch - you have to spend 3000 Yen at the appropriate sell store, and these are only limited to 200 each! Can you match the Primes with the matrices?

Did I ever mention how crappy it is to be a TF fan and not living in japan? It seems as if they get all the amazing stuff... granted, if I lived there, I'd be broke as a joke in 2 minutes.

After the Matrix campaign, they should give us some actual Legends/EZ/Legion class figures of these Town Commanders.

Can these be obtained through online purchases at corresponding Japanese retailers, if so which stores? Thank you very much :3

There are fourteen different ones, all limited to 200 pieces each, and are only obtainable from Japanese retail stores in person. Just lettin' ya know.

holy crap! i just found out these existed. i only found two of these matrix's (and read theyre the only ones released so far). this is from back in 2012... does anyone know if this matrix collection was cancelled?

purple one (pictured up top) sure, but blue? the only other one ive seen was black with a clear center.

Thought it was blue. might've been that one, I don't really remember. All I recall right now it it's slung around Pirate Thundertron's hip.

theres a very small crappy pic on wiki. its literally the only pic i can find of the other matrix's. MAN i want those!

Yeah, and that pic was scanned from the November 2012 issue of Hyper Hobby magazine.

So if anyone's got all 14, it's probably someone on the TakaraTomy design team.
