"Pondering the next exclusive set" preBW Predacons

Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

I found this topic really fascinating. I added to it today, with Waspinator and Terrorsaur. I put them together with ones that Mr. Blud had done already. and here's an alternate Terrorsaur.

Pretty neat. The Taratulas and Scorponok remind me of McD's toys for some reason.

I should mention that in the thread I linked to on the AllSpark, there are other pictures. Walky did a collage of repaints using instruction lineart with heads from other molds. Mr. Blud did the same thing with actual toys. on both of them, Waspinator was the Cybertron Buzzsaw remold, and Terrorsaur was Energon Starscream.
earlier was Dirt Boss done up as Primal. Clocker, Ransack, and Breakdown as Rattrap. Breakdown as Cheetor. Snowcat and Landmind as Rhinox. Mega Tankor and Signal Flare as Scorponok. Shockblast-as-Megatron and Energon Megatron as Cryotek.

There were other things as well, like remolded head drawings for Primal, Rattrap, Tarantulas, and Megatron. also non-show characters like Torca and Sky Shadow.

well it's like his tail weapon. T-Rex Megatron had a tail arm that wasn't removable. the other arm was the beast head. Dragon Megatron had a beast head for an arm as well. and TM Megatron still had a tail weapon, although it was removable. he's really the exception, having two normal arms. although in the show, Megatron always had at least one full arm. (the T-Rex version, the tail was also removable)
it's the most suitable mold for a Mega-size Megatron.
If you read the thread, there's a lot of discussion on mold choices.

I dunno. the fan-proposed set for next year was Megatron's crew pre-BW.
People have already done Primal and Rattrap and Cheetor. Walky did a lineart coloring of Landmine as Rhinox. I'm only doing these because I think I could improve on the job Mr. Blud did. plus I wanted Waspinator and Terrorsaur to be basics.

I'm still thinking of alternatives though. like those Galaxy Force Ramble clones with propellers added onto each arm to make a an osprey for Waspinator, or maybe as Scorponok. and there's also the option of Energon Skyblast as Terrorsaur.

oh right, and I had a thought about Scorponok. if he was supposed to be larger than most of them (I totally forget the sizes in the show) he could be the same mold as Dinobot, except with two shovel arms while Dinobot has two regular arms. genius, huh? ah! found the pics! Radiohead did that mod to two Hoists. no, wait... then both of them would end up with one oddly colored arm...

anyways, here's the regular version of Megatron.

Is that putty stuff you're refering to called "Bondo?" It's used to patch holes and could be used to patch small dents too. I have a can of it but I never used the stuff. I imagine it would be good for kitbashing.

Yes, that would be the stuff. I couldn't remember what it was called as I have no experience with it myself. Just seemed like it might work for this project.

interesting, but I think it could be done better. Why is Rhinox blue? Why is Primal so blue? Why is Dirt Boss Dinobot? I do think with the new announcement, that we need some more fan repaints to guess what they'll be like.

why is primal jetfire in the first place?

1) large
2) some manga reference said he was ... a jet back on Cybertron, while I think another source said he was a monster truck? I forget.
3) he had "Prime Jets".

not my first choice for a Cybertron mold. or 2nd or 3rd. maybe 4th.
