I'm in love with the series, and I haven't been able to say that about a Transformers series in a long time. Everything I could say has already been repeated so I'll leave it at that. If this is a long runner like they're planning, I'll be very happy.

Me too! I think this is going to be a great series to watch... and thank goodness, it's been too long since Animated.

I agree too... If I knew what an OTP is.

I think this is a Cable Company problem. My friend in LA was texting me asking the same thing, but here in NY the sound is amazing. My soundsystem was booming and clear. And we have Hub HD here - so the viewing experience was awesome. Like being at the movies. Hopefully future airings will fix this for everyone.

One True Pairing (Oh no, there he goes with TV tropes links again) is a shipping term, nor necessarily fangirls though they do tend to be the more common perpetrators. It's essentially fan shipping taken to it's illogical conclusion. Imagine thinking Arcee and Cliffjumper are going to get together and then being completely psychotic about it.

Read TV tropes. It'll save your life someday.

No! I'm not getting sucked into that vortex again!

I also liked Prime. One thing that suprised me is the humans... are actually LIKABLE. They're like the Anti-Kicker. And i was suprised at the level of violence in the first three minutes!

Starscream ripped cliffjumpers heart out! Damn! Megatron looks evil, and Starscream isn't a puss. This show gets a nine out of 10 for me.

Not to mention Dark Energon Zombies!

I just saw the two first episodes of Transformers Prime. It is great to hear Cullen and Welker doing their respective character voices. Like all the Autobots, esp. Rachet. I like his sense of humor and dislike for humans! Hope its not the end for Cliffjumper. Liked him too!

The overall feel of this show reminds of the following previous transformers series: (Beast Wars) for the energon deposits, (RID) for the highway warp gates to all over the planet, and the robot and vehicle modes of the live action movies.

I don't like the way Megatron's face looks. The eyes on all the robots looks kinda strange. I do like Welker's new voice take of Megatron! Starscream is cool too!

As for the CGI animation...I don't think its as sharp as Beast Wars. Don't like Bumblebee not being able to speak.

Overall...I like it, but it may take some time to really grow on me!

It's like the output fades in and out of stereo and mono.

It has something to do with the sound being in surround sound or something. It sounds perfect on my DLP TV upstairs but my old school TV downstairs I heard the exact problems you mentioned. Can anyone else shed any light on this?

Glad to hear that you liked it.

I liked it, I didn't love it, but I liked it.

Definitely can see what the live action movies would have been like without Michael Bay. This is what we should have been seeing on the big screen. That part has me sad, because in 44 mins of airtime they had better scripting and characterization than the entire 2 Bay films.

I'm not in love with the art style, and I think it has a lot to do with being stuck in that movie-ish style. I dig the Megatron design, but Screamer leaves something to be desired. Most of the Autobots are OK, and I can see Prime's design growing on me.

I agree that the humans were oddly NOT annoying. That was a nice surprise.

Overall a B, with a good chance to pull to a B+ or better with the next 3 episodes.

I like that they're trying something new...and I hate everything else about it.

Also, as for designs, the only one I don't really like is Prime's. The windows on his chest are supposed to be similar to his movie design, but here they just look out of place. And while they're using Animated's method of having the helmet come down to form a nose, Prime's helmet doesn't come down far enough and he look really, really weird. Also, Bumblebee has Eugene Levy's eyebrows. That also irks me.

Other than that, so far, the show is made of pure win.

Well I watched it, and to be honest I had very, very low expectations. But truth be told, it was much better than Animated, so at the very least it's a step in the right direction.

Ultimately my biggest problem might have been how much it was like the movies. Would've much rather seen something more original, I could also do without having Bumblebee speaking through beeps again.

Next, the robot designs. Watching the Decepticons I really couldn't help but laugh at how silly Starscream looked. The Autobots I can get over, but most the Decepticons looked really lame. Prime's eyebrows were definitely... strange though.

And lastly the CGI grates on my nerves, makes it look just too much like a video game.

But that's just all the bad, I didn't think the kid characters were too annoying (well, maybe except for Raf...), and some of the Autobots looked really good, like Bulkhead! Though I always tend to like Bulkheads a bit.

Anyways, it wasn't all that bad, so I'm impressed. Still not my cup of tea perhaps, but a decent show regardless.

I found Animated better than this but...I agree on StarScream's design being horrible, it was way too skinny and his voice made it seem to fit a more bulky design.

What surprised me was that the humans were not as bad as I thought! Raf who I initially HATED turned out to just seem as some little kid with tech knowledge and Jack who I expected to just be some sort of...I don't know how to describe him, turned out likable. Oddly enough, Miko was the one I ended up not liking(I expected her to be the least annoying)...

I like the overall look except for the mouths, very odd, especially Prime's...and I miss BulkHead's Patrick Star voice, Ratchet's voice also seems odd to me.

One main thing I dislike:DRONES, never liked them, probably never will. Mass produced robots used by humans...maybe, depending on how they're used but when used by TransFormers is just bugs me. I also dislike that so far(though there will be more) there's only two actual Decepticon characters, would've preferred to see at least a few non drones in the background.

Watch the two episodes, plus the Hubworld episode and the Hub Exclusive, and it's been a fun watch.

Hubworld was a weird mixture of lame and awesome. Lame because of the host's rather juvenile puns and behavior. Awesome because of all the stuff they showed. BotCon 2010, Comic-Con 2010, voice recording sessions, interviews, all of it was golden.

The Hub exclusive focused on G.I Joe: Renegades first. I LOVED how they gave a history of that franchise by going back the original 12-inch action figure and went through it to the ARAH cartoon and the Rise of Cobra movie. They also showed some brief clips from Sigma 6 and Resolute. The behind the scenes of Renegades was cool too. This series is gonna delve into how the Joes met and came to be who they are.

The TF: Prime part of the Hub Exclusive was like the Hubworld episode, but so much more. History with the G1 cartoon, G1 commercial clips, clips from G2/Beast Wars/Cybertron/Animated, more interviews, more voice recroding sessions, and CONCEPT ART! The whole show is gonna be a cinematic style, almost like a live action film. All in all, this show is gonna rock!

Episode 1 was... surprisingly not as awesome as I thought it would be. I guess it was due to having been spoiled by so many clips form this episodes beforehand. There was also the disappointment of there being no theme song. Though, because this is a sneak peak and the actual airdate for the series is Monday, maybe the Monday airing will have the theme song. Still, it was a decent first episode with a fair amount of action and comedy. I liked how Miko asked Bulkhead if he'd ever used a wrecking ball for a punching bag (nice little nod there).

Episode 2 was better. Welker's new Megatron voice is very cool, and actually kinda sounds like Megatron's WFC voice, which is a plus considering their shared reality (more on this later). The "Ground Bridge" was a familiar idea that seems to harken back to both RiD's Global Space Bridge and Armada's Warp Gate. We now have a confirmation that it's "Agent" Fowler (I guess "General" was a dropped concept or something).

Some points of interest are that Arcee refers to her hologram rider a "Sadie". The Eradicons can speak, but not often. The Pentagon is apparently unaware of the Transformers' existence on Earth. And, there is Energon seeded on Earth... wait, why?

Though, I gotta say that there are some continuity issues between this and Exodus/WFC. Ryan was right. TF: Prime is like a forced continuity with the book and game in the same way that Cybertron/Galaxy Force was retconned with the rest of its trilogy. For example, Megatron and Starscream speak of Dark Energon as though they are just now beginning to understand it, and the Autobots completely unfamiliar with the substance, when both sides had become well aware of it and understood what it could do all throughout WFC/Exodus. And, Dark Eenrgon's primary ability is to reanimate the dead into mindless beastial zombies, instead of merely being a power-up with addictive and corruptive side effects. And, most of all, Megatron and Starscream act as though they've never used Dark Energon on themselves, and when Megatron tries to use it on himself, he and Starscream act as though this were the first time they (or any a living being, for that matter) has ever done so.

These episodes also do bring up some interesting questions. Why has Megatron been missing for three years? Where's Breakdown? (he was in the comic that came right before this). What happened when the Autobots came to Earth for the first time? What has been going on during the 3-year period that the Decepticons have been missing? What are these "Movie-esque" events that were said by Hasbro to have happened prior to the series? Aside from the three teens and Agent Fowler, just how much a secret is the Autobots' existence? Why hasn't Bumblebee's voice been fixed during hte 3+ years that the Autobots have been on Earth? How can Raf understad Bumblebee's "Mini-Con beeps"? And why is there Energon seeded on Earth? :BOOM:  :KREMZEEK:

Well see, there was this big Vok experiment where they seeded Earth with mass amounts of radioactive raw Energon. They placed an artificial moon in orbit as a monitoring station with a killswitch. And then the Maximals and Predacons went and mucked everything up by destroying the Fake Moon, which caused the Energon to be usable but not radioactive.

Susan Blu is often the voice director in things. Also, as for the cast being the same as Animated, you forgot Cliffjumper. Assuming they bring him back from the dead, which, to be honest, is possible. It's easy to kill a Transformer. Keeping them dead is difficult.

I was blown away by TF: Prime. I was expecting another kiddy, corny as hell, piece of useless toy fodder.

I LOVE this show, so much than I ever expected to be. It has a serious undertone, but has a sense of humor. I have to say, Ratchet completely stole the show for me.

Everytime he spoke I was laughing. And props to Prime for this line: "In the meantime Ratchet, we will simply have to watch where we step."

I lol'd.

The one thing that I really really don't like is Miko. While I appreciate that they're making an effort to make each Human different, ESP in their reactions to the bots, but Miko needs to be turned down a few knotches. But having said that, it may be the writer's intention for her to be the annoying one. Maybe she'll evolve as the story progresses. Who knows.

I give TF: Prime 9.5/10.

I was highly critical and skeptical of this series but I was impressed by the first two episodes and enjoyed them greatly.

Anyone notice the heads of the Decepticon drones favor Maximilian from The Black Hole?

Weapon: Saber Blade
So, is this going to become our TF: Prime episode discussion thread, or will another one be made instead?

Well see, there was this big Vok experiment where they seeded Earth with mass amounts of radioactive raw Energon. They placed an artificial moon in orbit as a monitoring station with a killswitch. And then the Maximals and Predacons went and mucked everything up by destroying the Fake Moon, which caused the Energon to be usable but not radioactive.
Cute. 8-|

Not bad, but man do I dislike the designs of Prime, Soundwave and Starscream. Oh I also didn't like how that kid managed to fix the computer in less than a second, would have been better if it took him a few minutes, but hey I don't want to nitpick.

I like how serious and dark it is, the writing is top notch, unbelievable that this is from the same guys who're responsible for the Movie scripts.

And I love how Megatron's face looks like a skull! :D

Also:
Seriously, do they hate us or what? They make Cliffjumper so damn awesome, as in best design and awesome voice cast and he's dead 5 minutes in? Also they tease that he might come back to life and then they reveal that he's now just a zombie. Wow I was looking forward to seeing him in episodes but, guess not.
