Yesterday was a fairly good day.
Went to art class,
got an A+ on my DC superheroes painting,
went home,
ate lunch,
played with some puppies; You know an over all good day. I pop in ROTF for a little while and start playing in a death match. One player who was called nathan_rocks or something like that was playing very well. HOWEVER during the entire deathmatch I'm the only one who could kill him and I did it alot. Not enough to win the match but enough to really irritate him. Next match starts and he's getting frustrated. I had figured out his pattern of attack and was countering adequately (finally
). I get close second that round. Next round everyone else in the match has left and its just me and him duking it out and hes mad. I stay calm and continue to whoop him good. I had him down to a science. His main character he was being was grindor, interesting thing about grindor is that he cant shoot you when your right in his face. so using Optimus I controlled the outcome of the match. During one our best rounds where I was winning something happened that required my immediate attention. I had to power down the playstation and help my family with the house. For 3 hours I was busy. When I get back he's sent me a message.
Here's what he told me
"don't run away and think you're better then me!"
Really kid really?
You're that insecure that you have to send stuff like that when you were losing?
Honestly I laughed at first because he used text speak and it had no grammar.
It actually said the wrong message.
He first said,
"dnt run away and thnk ur not better than me"
lol it didn't make sense but I knew what he wanted to say.
so I told him that the message wasn't cool and told him good game anyway.
But really?
What happened to sportsmanship?
The ROTF community is better than that right?
idk
I was happy that i was improving in my game.
I wasn't bashing him in my mind.
And how dare a someone assume that I would play till I get ahead and just quit.
idk I'm just upset that someone who was a good player threw away the potential to be a great player by his unsportsmanlike conduct (wow thats a flag on the field LOL
). Any way yeah that was stupid.
Now I'm left ranting like a mad cow
How many of these types of players are there?
How many jerks do we have to ignore before we actually meet a wholesome "hey, good game" type player?
