Did not know... That raises my hopes somewhat, thank you. I keep forgetting Generations can run concurrent to other lines, so it's theoretically possible to see movie toys AND Generation toys come May. But the last movie saw the complete obliteration of all other toy lines, so therein lie my doubts. It'd be nice to see Hasbro take the movie with more humility and subtlety, and not completely blow off all other facets of the brand!

I'm gonna be the Negative Nancy here: BB has at least 2 car forms in the next movie, so don't expect the fetish to have passed.
But like you said, it'd be nice to see Hasbro spam a different character for a change... and I can't imagine getting sick of a robot dinosaur... but Hasbro does have an amazing ability to defy expectations, doesn't it?

The only thing that made arch an eyebrow even the slightest was the listing for Generations Deluxe class Arcee and then common sense kicked in and told me that Hasbro will once again F*** this up the same as every other Arcee the fandom has asked them for over the years.
Not meaning to sound negative, just being practical. It is utterly pointless to get excited over a single thing on this list. All it does is set you up for disappointment, or in the case of those of us who have actually been with the franchise since day one, it will bore you to death with the sheer predictability.
Yes. +1.
The inevitable disappointment can be soul-crushing, especially to the older fans who give a f*ck about G1 stuff (cue a douche to remind us to "move on" or "quit livin' in the past, bro").
What "sheer predictability" are you on about, though? I guess I'm not following the obvious?

I hope you're on the money, bro... but experience has shown me plenty a blunder by your beloved Hasbro. They haven't quite "killed" much in the 3rd Party scene (other than your stated Springer).
Take the Sharkticons, for example. If by love of God they bring them back, we get what? Crappy Legend scale? And is that Legion-Legend? Or Cyberverse-Commander-Legend-with-transforming-mini-weapon? It'll most likely be cheap and crappy (a la Abominus set), and 3rd Party is already offering 2 promising alternatives.
The irony of all of this is that Hasbro cares more about non-fan, young kids than the longtime fans. Ehhh, I'm just pointing out that we're an afterthought; it's hard to imagine Hasbro taking on the 3rd Party threat seriously when they could focus on making another iteration of Optimus and BB. Kids are the future, adults are the past! Let's focus on movie toys for tweens!
