With all the recent discussion about third-party products and their place in Transformers, I have a question for you guys. How much of this stuff do you actually have? I am genuinely curious here.

I will get us started.

I, personally, like some of the stuff that's out there. I think the City commander armor looks great. I think the Bruticus upgrade set and the Arielbot look great too. I don't own them. Too expensive.

I own the BTS Classics OP trailer and the FP Clear Protector armor. I like both sets, but I got them as gifts. I would not have purchased them on my own.

I have most of the third-party products that's been offered since FansProject hit the scene. Personally I love the stuff, and feel it enhances my collection and my enjoyment of the hobby.

Pretty much all of FansProject's stuff, all of MakeToy's stuff, TFC Hercules, almost all of the BTS P{rime Trailers, everything Renderform has put out, all of the Hearts of Steel stuff, and some other random stuff and customs. I love most of it, but I got some lemons along the way, such as Impossible Toys's Arcee and Paradron figures.

I once followed the rule that if it was 3rd party, I'd buy it. However now with all the raft of stuff coming out now I'm re-defining the rules to be "If it's 3rd party and it fills a gap in my Classics collection, and it looks like Hasbro will either not do one, or 3rd party is noticeably greater than Hasbro's, then I'll get it."

What I was even a year ago was all gung-ho for all the 3rd party stuff. I'm still excited but I can now restrain myself to what I see as "necessary".

I love what I've kept as they add to my shelf, but I seem to be getting ever pickier with what I spend my money on.

Pretty sure that's all the 3rd party stuff I own. May be missing some things, though. This list doesn't include KOs, including the WSTF Dinobots. So I have a goodly sized collection there.

Some are great, some are mediocre. I love most of it and I also feel it enhances my TF collection. It's made me buy some TFs I otherwise wouldn't too ... although I don't think I'll ever really want for a Springer or Ultra Magnus again.

I've got a few. Missed the boat completely on City Commander and regretted it, so picked up Protector as soon as I could. Very nice, I just need a Hot Rod that looks better in it than the RTS one I have currently.

The iGear Kup head was what made me want that figure. I really wasn't a fan of the Hasbro one and would have passed if not for the add-on. Likewise, the Headrobots replacement head(s) and swords for Bludgeon made me reconsider that mold.

Like City Commander, the FP Bruticus upgrade was for a product I didn't own, and as soon as the set was announce the prices sky-rocketed, so I passed on Swindle and Blast-Off. Had to get the Insecticons as they were the right price for such great toys of characters Hasbro seemed uninterested in doing. Don't regret it, even with the new official ones coming out. They're not enough like the classic versions of the characters I grew up with for me to worry.

Latest 3rd party purchases have been the iGear Huffer toy, which is just perfect in price, acticulation, looks and size for what I want in updated minibots, and the Maketoys Battle Tanker, which like Bludgeon and Kup's upgrades made a mediocre official toy into a must-have.

Going forward, I'm not getting everything any 3rd party puts out, it will depend on many factors. I am looking forward to getting my hands on a big Devastator at some point though.

I'm going the Mkall route, so I've chosen United F/R instead of the PE ones and won't be getting Hegemon as I'm happy with my modified United Megatron. However, since I only collect classics, I'm currently buying more 3rd party stuff than Hasbro's, and I'm willing to include also non homage FP figures as Steelcore.

Im sort of a FP Loyalist, I have been buying there stuff since the CJ kit. I like their QC as I have never had a single blemish, loose joint or paint over spray on any of them.

I dont buy much else with the exception of HERCULES!!!!!! I did score KMC Knight morpher for cheaps.He's cool but doesnt really fit into a collection theme so..

Also Blesser is a perfect fit for Shadow commander His own little target master !

I like them all, especially the Bruticus upgrade set that pretty much turned a mediocre figure around.

Like some others, I only purchase 3rd party stuffs if: 1. They are very nice upgrade set from an existing figure. 2. Hasbro did not and will not make them. 3. Hasbro had them but very lame. 4. I cannot custom make one.

Well, not really allowed to have too many also. If I do, my wife will start putting a security lock on my study room's door.
