Transformers writer Simon Furman has updated his
blogpage and added a little special gift for us Transformers fans. The following has been taken directly from his
blog, where you can also download the
document containing the script for the unproduced Beast Wars Comic.
"
A big HAPPY HOLIDAYS (from me) to one and all in this the festive season. And special thanks to all of you who’ve visited, commented on or otherwise supported my blogging efforts to date. And here’s a little Xmas something for you all, a look at the Beast Wars series that never was, in the shape of my original script for ‘Shell Game’ issue #1. Created to tie in with the BW Summer Special story published by a certain ex-TF publisher, it differs significantly from what became (in the fullness of time) Beast Wars: The Gathering. Click on the link below to view. Enjoy… and I’ll be back on New Year’s Eve (or before) with my retrospective look at 07 (and maybe a look forward to 08!)".

- Weapon: Saber Blade
While the idea sounds cool from what he said about it, I'd rather not have to read all that text. So could someone summarize it, please?
"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.
Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

The story is very similar to the first issue of IDW's Beast Wars series with Razorbeast working undercover, etc., however there is nothing in the story about temporal displacement. Magmatron's crew arrives just as Primal and the Maximals leave Earth.
The big difference is that the story includes the Maximals from DW's summer story reaching out to contact Rattrap on the shuttle and convince him to turn the shuttle around bringing the BW cartoon crew BACK to Earth (along with Megatron).
Of interesting note... in the properties section of the Word file... it says "War Within #6."
