price seems a bit high, over a grand per each come on now. Its never a fan who finds stuff like this its always a business guy,if it was a fan im sure price per unit would be a few hundred not over a thousand.

I will not be bidding on that one.

I would try to go after one of each, should they decide to split that up.

Definitely not the kind of auction for me, even if it was only for one. I'd be freeing him from his prison within seconds.

Me too. I generally don't keep anyone locked up in their box. I would only if I happened across a duplicate of one I have, for free, then I'd keep it boxed. But I had Blitzwing as a kid and I would crack him open immediately.

THIS.......

Plus the asking price is WAY too much.

That price is insane. Do people even bother to look at the value of an item or do they just make up a high number and settle on it?

I can only hope that life kicks his ass, forcing him to sell them for way less to someone who would actually appreciate that.

You are exactly right here. I have been collecting since the 80's. And this is not that big a deal. In fact ALL this actually does is DROP the price of anyone who actually has any of these MISB, because there are now more on the market or in existence.

I remember about 15 years ago when a dealer in Cali. called and asked me for any information I knew about Pepsi Optimus Primes? I told him what I knew and asked him why? he said he had an old Pepsi employee who had several cases of them. But would only sell ALL of them to him. I cant remember what the exact amount was, but it was liken to 50-100 Pepsi OP's, the guy was trying to offer $50 a piece back then and I think ended up paying $75 a piece to buy all of them. he was supposed to be cool and sell me one for what he paid since I helped him out etc. He calls me back a week later and offered me a sealed one for $125. It was a decent deal, but I was pissed that he didnt keep his word, so I never bought even 1. And now since Ebay has been going strong in the last 10 years I have seen people pay several thousand for that piece. And the problem is that I know its not that rare, and now YOU DO TO!!! LOL...

Also there was a sealed case of Predacons, Targetmasters etc. It was a cool time to collect, unfortunately I was a poor college kid and couldnt just buy everything. But I did buy alot, lol.

Anyway back on subject. He will NEVER sell them for that much because the case box has already been opened to begin with. So the best he can hope for is selling them individually and then selling the case box itself along with one of them.

Also why is somebodies TYPO of 72 figures being used so much?? Its only 12 FIGURES! lol.

BTW, if anyone needs or wants a Takara MP Starscream or MP Skywarp I have them up on Ebay. My Ebay name is Cybershark-1

:APPLAUSE:
THANK YOU! I felt like I was taking crazy pills there as I scrolled down the comments.

So we seem to all be in agreement that this is a tadbit over priced. I'm with most of you on this in that the right thing to do was to sell them individually. But I'll bet that the seller doesn't have the patience to go that route and craves that good ol' american instant gratification. Probobly already knows what he wants to spend the profit on.

And if I may be allowed a "Sheldon moment" just for S & G's...$13,000 (or USD....what is this, a Sirloin? *USDA lol) divided by the misprinted 72 amount would break down to $180.56 per figure....now wouldn't that be something? :ic$:

And how many of you snickered when I said Break Down?

I wish this auction had listed before the Holy Grail Podcast several weeks back, just to have heard the guys repeatedly wisecrack about it.

Now that's a thing of beauty. I would love to get my hands on one of those Blitzwings! Or two, and keep one sealed for a rainy day.
