An interview of HASBRO Transformer's toy designer Aaron Archer has been found here.
"It's just cool knowing that I'm one of two guys that have my job in the world," said the 34-year-old Archer in a telephone interview from Providence, R.I., where the toy company is based. The other is the design director for Takara, Hasbro's Japanese partner corporation on the Transformers line.
"It's fun to be the caretaker of something that means so much to so many people and that meant a lot to me and my friends when we were kids."
"Some people practice layups in their driveway until all hours," he said. "I practiced drawing..."

I practiced layups and drawing, and got a job doing neither. Man do I suck!
