Good that it proves that more XP you have, the more you can gain (though, not as high of a difference as I expected), and also good that it proves that I'm pretty close to keeping pace with you. Another couple mil on Gauntlet, and he'll keep pace with Darq pretty well.

Believe it or not I actually feel bad about this, although I it was a fun race. As for proof, I thought it was because I had a strong build and you have a fast build. Keep in mind you have a repair/strafer so this means you should be getting double the XP because you can work both side of the fence while I just have a few to feed off of. As far of a difference I am not sure what you expected in terms of difference between XP gained.

Don't feel bad. I went into this expecting to lose. Strong builds require more XP then fast builds, so even though our strength I believe is the same, and our speed should be pretty close, the few points you have over me in courage and I imagine endurance make the difference. You invest more XP, you should be getting more of a return. Maybe I should think of it more in terms of banking. Power builds have a low risk, medium yield on their investment, fast builds have a high risk, and can have a high yield, but can also have a low yield, so they flux more. I've been trending to low yield (especially my last few missions) which has really hurt my gain...

Wrong, once again... Power builds do not have a low risk medium yield: in fact they have a low risk, HIGH yield on their investment, which _Anshin_ proved, and which I am proving every day. Fast builds like yours do have a chance of getting a high score once in a while, but about as much chance as any lower level has of hitting a high level.
You are trying to run when you can't even walk. And it's a real waste of XP to make a fast build when that same XP could make a perfectly fine lower level build providing a higher yield.

Absolute Zero wrote:And I've had a lot of down time actually. I ran into some bad juju with the RNG and seen my survival rate plummet, and was out for a good chunk of friday and saturday so my play time was limited. Those are all excuses though, you've been winning fair and square, and you will win fair and square. If you're having fun though, we can extend the amount out further, see if that helps balance things for us.

Excuses like 'bad RNG' are completely bogus.
I've been looking at just Gaunlet's missions that I'm able to recall:
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95539
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95653
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95744
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95773
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95836
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=95905

Gauntlet is ending up at the very lowest end of the XP scale EVERY time. You can't tell me that's 'bad RNG' or 'bad luck': that's just a bad build getting thrown into missions way out of his depth.

You know, I don't have a say in the terms of the bet, so take it or leave it, but if it was up to me (and I know it isn't, so stop giving me a hard time!), the rules of this bet get changed so you don't have to change the names of your team, but you would have to reconfigure a couple of your builds, according to what _Anshin_ would consider a good build with the XP available. BINGO, everyone wins, including you!

Not really, AD can kiss my ass. I say some stupid ****, but he just flipflops constantly. He's a hypocrite, who doesn't want people to think about telling him how to play, but he loves telling others what they should and shouldn't do. He doesn't understand a damn thing about this game, and I'm kinda tired of the trolling.

How do I flip-flop? How am I a hypocrite? Who's been giving me advice on how to play that I didn't take? What part of the game don't I understand (BTW, I'm #3 in HMW at the moment)? You're flailing here, dude, calling me names and generally BS'ing, but you ain't hitting nothing but your own ass.

I take advice from _Anshin_ loads of times, 'cause he knows what he's talking about and has the drive to back everything he says with research into this game. I'm not as good in providing researched data, but at least I can prove my claims against you. I've NEVER seen any proof from you about the BS you are spewing against me. All you can do is nothing but whine how you were once the hottest thing HMW had ever seen. Oh, yeah, and the troll... is you. Just a final tip, to help you get along a little better in this life: make sure you can back your BS up with PROOF!

Oh, I don't know. See who can gain the most XP over all between now and X-mas? Race to a higher rank? I'd have to check to see how far behind you are to make a good suggestion for that for that though. I'd race you to level 9, but I'm pretty sure I could win that one. Well, maybe not, once your power builds hit a certain point, you're forced to invest in other stats to level up, so, who knows.

Well, I counted my XP and if I did a speed build, However I will be honest that as far as builds go, I don't want to mess with my build no more than you probably want to mess with yours. However I would do the XP race to Christmas. That you probably will beat me with because as holiday's roll around in the US, people go on vacations and my work load gets even harder. I think I have managed to deploy once or twice today just because of all of the crap.

That depends on how the RNG goes for me. My bad luck from yesterday seems to be continuing. My friend is getting me Skyrim tomorrow too, so... That'll probably eat up a lot of my HMW time too. Honestly, I have no problem mucking with my configs, the only downside is if I do that now, I loose my alts and have to hunt for them again. Which isn't to big of a deal, I just fear what Psyke will think up to make them harder.

Man I would love to play skyrim, but I honestly havent even had time to play Arkham City. I think the last time I played I had just fought freeze. Yes I have had the game since Release date, but job and blah blah blah. I really shouldn't bad mouth my job considering the economy, but man it really is messing up my personal life

Let me know how Skyrim is. I know a few of my guys that I work with were suspiciously sick on the 12 and 13th. LOL, but seriously everybody has told me that is probably the game of the year.

I haven't heard a bad thing about it. I've been told they took all the problems with Oblivion, and all the things people didn't like, and fixed them. I'll let you know how it is. I will probably get into it pretty hard core here over thanksgiving. Trying to beat Deus Ex right now, and I got Uncharted 3 from Gamefly after that, but I'm sure Skyrim will eat my soul for at least 100 hours.

Arkham City was amazing. Great story, great graphics, just as fun as AA. You need to call in sick and finish that.

And yeah, you shouldn't complain about your job. I'd kill for a job. Infact, if you need anyone offed, let me know. I need money bad.

Hell yeah. I want that pretty bad too. I have to admit, I didn't much like the concept as it was presented with the first one, but I listened to a friend about the second, and holy **** that game was fun. GTAwhat?

Is The Old Republic any good overall? I know the storyline is great and cinematics look amazing in the trailers. I'm a big fan of the console versions of KOTOR, and was looking at SWTOR but was wondering whether it was worth the price.
