Probably just gonna go with the 3DS version. Mainly because I'll never shell money on the Wii-U, that looks absolutely awful to me.

so will it be on the Wii as well, or only the WiiU?

God I hope not, I don't want another Cybertron Adventures experience again.

Wow, people are using this topic to badmouth the WiiU? Seriously? That's just sad. I mean I can see that coming from PC-only gamers, who are always talking down consoles ('cause consoles are where most AAA companies focus their efforts). I'm an all around gamer (Steam is the best thing to happen to games in the last decade) and a huge TF fan. So let me clear up a few things.

1. The WiiU has at least equal if not better graphical capabilities than the 360 and PS3.

I have personally demoed several games on it, as they had a preview event in my area to which I was invited. I would specifically point to ZombiU as showing off how well the system's graphics can preform. Of course, as any gamer will admit, seeing a games graphics in action is far different from looking at screen shots or youTube videos. So I really can't stress how impressed I was with the graphics, as I did not expect Nintendo to jump to the forefront of console HD.

2. This game is clearly a port of the Wii version.

I'd hope- and everything seems to indicate- that they are adding some special features for the WiiU version. It would be a waste to port the game over if you weren't going to make use of the new controller. That said, this is Activision. Well, wait. First off most companies re-use their existing assets when porting a game to another system. At the preview event I mentioned the WiiU version of Arkham City looked terrible compared to the other games on had because of this. So those are likely all the same models and textures from the WiiU version, just touched up a bit. I mean, looking at it they might be new textures, but clearly optimizing this port was/is not a high priority. Most likely because we're talking about Activision, and they see something like a Prime-verse game as "kiddy" and thus not worth much in terms of time and resources.

3. HasTak needs to make a Prime Thunderwing figure.

Seriously. He looks very cool, even with the sub-par graphics. :P I'm wondering if he gets killed off in the game or if perhaps they'll work him into the show somehow.

As to the value of the WiiU. Well, only time will tell. Every [non-biased] gamer and developer I've talked to has been very excited about the possibilities of the new controller. But honestly there's no way to predict if interest will wane- like it did for the Wii- making the controller just a passing fad, or if it will prove to be a true boon for gaming's future.

Now ontopic

To pc people: Playing a game for graphics is like watching porn for the storyline.

Yes, pc graphics outclass consoles. But you have to buy a 800 bucks pc to do that. And withing a few months there's a new graphics card. + games for pc aren't optimized for one specific graphics card so you always have to mess around with the graphic settings. Which I hate. A console is, you buy it, games and for 4-5 years you're ready set to play all the games just the way every body else playes them.

More ontopic

I haven't played any of the games from Now Productions (what a game studio name, well, we also have From Software and they make aweseome games Dark Souls). Tie-in games are almost always rushed, and I seriously don't plan on getting any Nintendo console. Why isn't it released on the other platforms?

Woah. All the bad reception is annoying. This game is probably still in development, or it is the wii version ported to the Wii-U. (Also Bumblebee in his alt mode when he is battling Dreadwing means we can transform at any time)

Yes Wii U will be stronger that all current gen consoles. It's hilarious thinking any gaming console coming out would only be on par with something that came out six or seven years before. As for the screenshots, well I'll wait til closer to the game's launch (two months from now) before I make any judgement.

Sorry about diverting the thread a little bit guys, but i gotta defend my boys! I have one thing to say, a quote from the Avengers......a message you say? :-?
Councilwoman: "I don't think you realize what you've started, letting the Avengers loose on this world. They're dangerous."
Nick Fury: "They surely are; and now the whole world knows it....every world knows it.
Councilman:"Was that the point of all this? A statement?"
Nick Fury:" A promise."

Later, the Chitauri leader named the other confers with Thanos....
"To challenge them....is to court death.......
:grin: 8) 8-}

And on-topic, did they ever say where this game actually fits in with the show continuity wise? i can't seem to remember. I must say i don't really have high expectations, but the thunderwing has kinda got my hopes up. Wii-only games can swing both ways though, sometimes.......

Pretty sure they said that this game (along with the Rage of Dinobots comic) bridges the 2nd and 3rd season.

They said it's set concurrently within season 2 somewhere, but they didn't specify where.

Which leads me to believe that it's gonna be another one of those headache-inducing cases trying to find a place to fit it in with the show.

Also, the Insecticons seem to be a threat, and no sign of Airachnid or Breakdown. Sometime after "Armada?"

That makes it even harder since "Armada" starts the beginning of the global relic hunt, going all the way to "Hurt" in one continuous storyline.

It's slightly more powerful, ever so slightly. No big leap here but it is full 1080p and not upscaled as the current gen is. You've also got to keep in mind Halo 2 vs. Halo 4 in terms of graphics (the one coming out next month vs. the first on 360). It came a long way from Halo 2. It'll probably take a while for the devs to get used to the machine and wring all the power they can from it plus Wii never really was about mind blowing graphics. It was the experience they were shooting for. It's improved here but still the same end goal. Besides next year and then the year after the PS4 and the next xbox come out if better graphics are what you are after. No console will ever beat a PC in graphic capability and performance to end my little speech, the tech evolves too fast and you can't just pop in a new gpu in a console. The game looks decent enough. If it plays well is the big question IMO. Other games I've seen for the Wii-U looked better, it's just a rushed port so I'll wait til I play to pass judgement.

As I said before, I'm only going to watch let's plays of the game to learn how this fits into the storyline. The graphics turn me off, and I don't have the money to spare in the first place.

It looks like DS footage to me tbh. I've got the Wii-U preordered though because everything else I've seen looks good to me. If it does turn out to look this way I just won't buy it. Who can't afford a buck or two at a Redbox to rent it though? I've played a few games that looked kind of bad but were pretty good regardless myself.

Ok I bought it, a Wii U, and Zombii U. I haven't touched Zombii U. It looks great tbh, like an episode almost. It is fairly simple combat wise but for 30+ at TRU with the 40% Off deal it's easily worth it. You start off as OP and second level as Arcee. You can upgrade the characters after gathering points, arcee gets her blades plus knee blades and is faster. I don't regret getting it at all and if you like Prime I'd say you won't either.

Bought & Deluxe Wii U and 4 games yesterday, of course including TF: Prime. Haven't even unboxed the thing yet. Debating whether I'm saving it for Christmas for the kiddo. If I do open it early I'll review.

Prepare to throw a monster load of wrapping away when you do. Mine is for Christmas for my boy too but..... ;) Guess I'll have to re-wrap it the night before.
