Ya know, she ain't so bad a figure once you get her into that kneeling/spider-like pose.

I like it. :D

I think this figure definitely got an unnecessary bad rap.

So you honestly think that people's many, MANY gripes with the figure are unfounded? Seriously? I mean, it's one thing to say you think it's decent, but you can't sit there with a straight face and tell me in good conscience that you think the figure got an "unnecessary bad rap". If you are serious, though, then could you please tell me what the figure's redeeming factors are? I mean, head sculpt aside, how does the good outweigh the bad. Hell, how does it even balance out the bad?

Cause it's the only figure we have of her. :(

I grabbed the spider legs/rotors from my Hasbro version and used them along with the ones from the AM version to give her a decent looking spider-bot mode. Posability isn't great, but she stands and looks pretty cool on display.

Interesting. Do you have a picture of that by any chance? I'm curious to see what that looks like.

Not at the moment, but I'll probably post one in the kitbashes forum eventually.

Cool.

Can you do that with another rotor from the RID figure?

You can, but you need the Takara/AM figure to attach the rotors. It's because the Arms Micron version has the two weird missile looking bits with ports on them that the rotors fit into. Otherwise you're stuck attaching them to her arms in those holes, which means you then cannot pose her arms.

Ah, gotcha. Thank you.

Please bump this thread when you get around to posting a picture. I'd love to see it.

I was gonna grab an AM version today at a local toy store. 34 bucks is a little steep for her but i really do want to own one of the worst transformers of modern times. That alone holds her in high regards to me. She's just such an absurd throw back in comparison to all the advances available today that i find it almost irresistible to not own such an abhorrent abomination. :x

There's an upcoming Legion figure that will without a doubt be miles better than the deluxe.

Of course, the Legion figure will have a better excuse for poor articulation.

Ha ha ha ha! I'm also a fan of crap figures. I couldn't tell you why, but there's something uniquely appealing in a total turd of a figure.

I got Airachnid for $10 at Aldi, and even at $10 I was disappointed. The transformation is about as complex and interesting as a basic Scout figure, the bot mode has almost no pose-ability, and the alt mode is just plain boring. She's marginally worse than FoC Jazz, and a serious contender for Worst Figure of the Year.

And why three rotor blades? At least if she had four rotor blades, together with her four limbs she would have had eight "limbs" in robot mode. As it is, she's like a spider that had one of its legs pulled off.

This afternoon I found myself in that exact position today... The pricetag put me off.
