Spider-Man 2: The Game.

Saw that one coming from a mile away.

It was good, but it lacked a bunch of things. Namely replay value. Once you go through the entire game, what was there? Collecting of coins and tokens which give you what in the end? Diddly. Then you swing around and beat up thugs, then swing around and beat up people breaking into a rooftop door. Then you swing around and do a spidey race, then, oh look, more thugs. The only thing that was unlockable were upgrades for spider-man, wow I can make Spider-man swing a little faster, yay?

It got boring quick. There were no unlockables. The cool thing was the staggering size and detail of the environment, how well it flowed together.

It marked a huge leap from the first Spider-man Movie game, which really was a Spider-man 64 port updated. But it still wasn't a really great movie game. Thankfully Ultimate Spider-man, while on a smaller scale and basically the same game, gave some unlockables and extras for completing the game among other things.

I don't know much about them, because I'm not a fan of the movies but aren't the Star Wars game suppose to be awsome?

Good point. I didn't think of that.

Actually, Ultimate Spider-Man was bigger. It included Queens as well as Manhatten. Though I think it took out Liberty Island and Ellis Island. :-?

I just hope they do this one right to make it decent. Really right now I am just glad you can choose between Autobot and decepticon.

Like 90% of all movie games this is just to cash in on the momentary growth of popularity. I don' t like thinking it and I don't like typing it even more, but it seems to be an unfortunate truth. If it's anything like Hulk: UD then it will be fun for a month and then collect dust in the DVD rack.

Depends on what game your looking at. Star Wars games are really hit or miss. I haven't played most of them, but a lot of the Episode 1 game didn't fare too well. Starfighter for the PS2 was good though, and that was one of the earlier PS2 games.

Rouge Squadron 1-3 is are some of the peak Star Wars games, in my opinion. It's arcadey, but they are awsome! Only thing is the third one has too few ship missions, and not enough ground variety for my tastes.

The Super Star Wars games on the Super NES were really good I remember. They were hard, but good. The NES ones didn't fare too well. I had the Gameboy ports, and while long and expansive, just weren't much fun.

On the PC side, there are WAY too many to count. However, the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series of flight sim games were extremely good. I only have X-Wing and Tie Fighter, and while I never beat X-Wing, Tie Fighter was certainly a great sequal that improved upon X-Wing in many ways.

I can't bring up Star Wars games without mentioning the vector graphics Star Wars games. It's on Rogue Squadron 3, and it is still cool. Extremely simplistic, but I'm sure it blew people away in 1981(think that was the release date). Who wouldn't want to pilot an X-Wing and blow up the Death Star? Empire was pretty good, but I dont' think it was as strong as the original cause they didn't have as much to go on. Jedi never recieved a vector graphics game, only a 3/4 view sprite game that was a scrolling shooter/obisticle avoider.

So basicly there's crap in the Star Wars Universe of games, and there is good, so it really does even out. But a lot of the Star Wars stuff is in the expanded universe, so it's hard to really put that in with the movie stuff. Still, it's some of the best licensed games out there.
