I don't think I've gone that long without buying TFs in over a decade...

Well, if you're like me, you'll find some unknown TF niche to fascinate yourself with in that stretch of time...I always think there will be a drought, but it never seems to happen (I'm looking at you, Encore Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme...). :D

Oh I'd buy into Encores, etc but once my mind is fully set to something, you can't get me to change my mind.

I ended up having to give away a few RiD figures once and it felt so offkilter to see my collection as incomplete...I got rid of 'em all and I haven't collected a single RiD figure since. It also doesn't help that I think the figures that came after RiD are a million times better.

So yeah, once my mind is fully set...it's stuck. So until Animated and Classics come out...I'm not buyin' jack when it comes to TFs. Except maybe the elusive Red Armada Thrust that's been nearly in my grasp several times.

Hmm...

I won't be bothering to pick up this figure. I hate propeller hands and that of the like.

Sorry to sound like a noob guys but this is news to me :|
Is the movie line really coming to an end? when and where was this announced? so, is it safe to say that after the premium line, walmart, target and sams club exclusives are released... thats it?

i guess its good in some ways... hasbro has been going crazy with the repaints and i'm sure they troll these message boards and see all the "nice" :-x comments folks have made regarding repaints. My wallet could use a break from all the action too :roll: I just hope they come back with better molds for TF2 and really limit the repaints going forward...

Even Hasblo can only get away with doing so much repaints. They take it to the limit, and two steps beyond. We're already getting repaints of repaints:

Autobot Ratchet=Rescue Ratchet=Premium Ratchet
Ironhide=Offroad Ironhide=Premium Ironhide
Bumblebee=Cliffjumper=Stealth Bumblebee=Premium Bumblebee
Leader Prime=Leader Nightwatch Prime=Premium Prime
Starscream=G1 Colors Starscream=Thundercracker
Jazz=Final Battle Jazz=G1 Colors Jazz=Premium Jazz
Voyager Prime=Robovision Prime=Battle Damage Prime=G1 Colors Prime
Blackout=Evac=Premium Blackout
Barricade=Security Barricade=Premium Barricade

...And who knows how many more in the future. But, the days of movie figures are numbered. You'll still see 'em on the pegs and shelves for another 2-4 months I am sure. But I don't think we'll bee seeing any more new molds after Incinerator, and only a few more repaints at this point. Incinerator, Landmine, and Stockad are the last Hurrah in new Movie line molds.

Too bad they didn't put hinges on Incinerator's props like they did on Minicon Makeshift. Still far from actual hands, but close enough for me.

I just wonder why Hasbro keeps making figures with no hands. I cannot believe any character has a "Skill" score of more than 2 without at least three fingers on each hand.

And Movie Starscream, missiles don't count as fingers...

Ha! :lol: It's starting already! Still, I wish I had your kind of willpower (Red Armada Thrust excluded, of course...)
