It seems that I'm alone in enjoying it. Granted, I have my own nitpicks, but I'm mainly concerned about how The Fallen is explained in the multiversal Transformers continuity. What some fans do have problems with though, I see them as no problem at all. For instance:

Skids & Mudflap - They're robots, I don't think people should see them as anything to get offended by. They had a good dynamic, and they offered a good personality to the Autobot team. The time they started fighting with each other was a bit forced feeling, but it was to move the plot along.

Using the allspark shard on Jetfire instead of Optimus Prime - Optimus was dead, Jetfire in stasis lock/dormant, and the allspark fragments don't revive robots unless heavy modifications are done to them(like Scalpel did with Megatron). That's the most logical explanation that I think fits.

Megatron saying there is no authority above him, then calls The Fallen "master" - He's using "master" as synonymous with "teacher" "sensei", etc. The Fallen even refers to Megatron as his apprentice. I thought that was obvious.

The "immature" jokes - Didn't see anything was wrong with them. I liked most of them, at least. I definitely didn't see them as embarrassing to watch.

All in all, my favorite movie of the trilogy. Are there any other fans out there that enjoyed RoTF as much as I did?

From what I gather if you want to find people who liked it the Transformers forums and the internet are not the place to look. This rings true of any fandom since fandoms are generally horrible conglomerations of barely coherent and unfocused nerdrage about such trite, pointless things that no true discussion ever happens and it's all primarily yelling at each other about how one person's opinions can somehow be "wrong" when discussing something as subjective as a cartoon show, book, or movie.

There ya go. Just so you know, I liked all three films too.

I've been a Transformers fan for as long as I can remember and RotF is my favorite of the movies. I think the reason it catches so much crap is because people think it's "cool" to trash something that's popular. You can see the same thing with Twilight, I guarantee most of the people ripping on it have never read the books or seen the movies. I did the same thing with Titanic back in my immature younger days, and I had never seen it.

The short version is your personal enjoyment is the most important thing. Listen not to those who speak about the films "ruining the good name of Transformers" and especially avoid those who would call your personal enjoyment wrong, or would criticize you as a person for liking the films.

In my own experience I've encountered more people who liked all three films than disliked them. However there is no right or wrong here, only what you think.

PS: I met a person online recently who went ballistic over The Avengers as, and I'm quoting, "The worst film released this year" because Thor didn't wear a winged hat. This is why fandoms are terrible sources of opinion.

I can honestly say I've seen Twilight. It was pure and total crap. My girlfriend is HOOKED on the series. The books, the movies, you name it.

ROTF isn't a perfect movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it's certainly many levels above Twilight. Even my girlfriend will admit that. She loved ROTF. She thought it was a lot of fun. (She went to the drive in with me to see it, plus she watched it with me on the Imax DVD from Wally's Wonderful World of Wonders.)

I only have three problems with rotf

1. devestator. they so messed the ending up with his fight being so lame.

2. not enough sideswipe.

3. not enough of the fallen for him to be the big baddie they should have juat stuck with megs.

Putting my sarcastic introduction aside, I remember asking the same- or a similar- question to this two years ago, and I realized I wasn't alone on liking ROTF, or the first movie for that matter. I can't remember who pointed it out, but someone on here said that it's not that there are very few people who like the movies, but it's the ones who hate them that are louder. I love all three movies to death, and my dad and I both agree that ROTF is one our favorite movies of all time. Yes, it does have its flaws, but they aren't enough to cancel out everything good about it for me.
Some people do like to trash popular things for attention, some because they thrive on drama, and they like having arguments to argue against. Some of these are certified "trolls." Others like to make themselves feel better by dehumanizing others, due to insecurity or whatever it may be, by using narrow-minded reasoning. They may think that they are the ONLY ONE in the world who feels the way they do (which is the RIGHT and ONLY way) and that everyone else is contributing to a popular trend that is WRONG or CORRUPTED in some way, so it is their job to show the "offenders" their flaws, which of course makes them feel better about themselves when in reality it is just a matter of personal opinions that shouldn't make or break a person.
Oh, by the way, there are an equal amount of people who do this on the pro-movie side too. I used to be one of them.

Remember, just because the Negatrons raise more hell doesn't mean you're the only Optimist Prime around.

People still complain about that?You can clearly see they didn't know they could ressurect Optimus.

The only thing i remenber not liking was Wheelie's leg humping.The jokes were funny to me.

The only moments I really don't like in RotF, were the humping (dogs and Wheelie) and Sam's mom high on space cake. The humping was mercifully short and I actually laughed in the theater when Sam's mom tackled the frisbee player. Otherwise, the film could've used more characterization and exposition of the whole Seven Primes/Seekers/Fallen subplot and less tasering of museum guards and silly bit-character humans getting more close ups than actual Transformers. (I'm looking at you, toothless butcher in Simmons' deli)

Aside from that, I enjoyed the film to heck, saw it twice in theaters and still prefer it to the first film.

Likewise, I'm fine with the vast majority of DotM. It's IMO the best of the trilogy and certainly the darkest and most Transformer-centric. The only thing that was really wrong with DotM was Jerry Wang. Dude should've been toned way the slag down or recast entirely. Too bad that he, unlike most bit characters, is actually central to the plot and can't be removed in a fan edit.

I loved ROTF, still one of my favorite movies of all time. I just watched it again today.
