This really has nothing to do with First Aid being a nurse, I know alot of guys who are nurses and they are good friends. But for me.. I just felt that recently, especially MTMTE, if it wasn't for the gender and the name being pointed out, I would have thought that First Aid was a female. Do you guys feel the same way?
And perhaps it would be easier if First Aid was a girl, perhaps a potential love interest for Ratchet
? Okay, if anyone posts First Aid x fanpics, I'll kill you.

What kind of behaviour would you say makes you think in that direction?
Personally, I haven't noticed, but I'm curious to see if I've missed something.

Perhaps it is the nurse-like actions? The touching and etc.

I don't necessarily associate delicate or physically empathic behaviour with femininity, but I guess it could work that way, yes.
I'm still having trouble adjusting to the idea that gender has been force-fed into the franchise at some point, and then just left hanging there.
How many official female characters are there?

I'm not sure of the official statistics but I'm sure the ratio is about 1:10.

I think that may be where the issue resides: by having so many 'masculine' characters, with all the associated stereotypical qualities (and yes, I do know that it's big robots fighting each other, voiced by male voice actors), any one character which may deviate from those qualities will end up slightly more 'feminine', as you point out for First Aid.

I see the autobots doctors strictly this way.
First Aid: He's like a sort of battlefield medic and a "family" doctor that runs a small office.
Ratchet: He's the the more skilled hospital surgeon type doctor specializing in advanced repairs outside among the autobots.
He's also the doctor everyone goes to when it is outside of First Aid's field level of expertise.
Vehicle Mode: Heavily speed modfied Mitsubishi Lancer Evo

well just because he isn't a girl dosnt mean they couldnt be in a relationship. there are gay humans so why not gay transformers?
Wrestling is just a male soap opera, though less believable.
