Animated Rodimus, SPOILER WARNING!

So, I got my transformers back from storage, pretty much all of them, and upon pulling out Animated Rodimus, I got an idea. I could transform him and put him on my Prime Shelf as Hot Rod/Hot Shot. Why not?

So I got to work transforming him, so far so good, then suddenly, the spoiler pops off. At first, I thought it was one of those joints that you could just pop back on, but no. The plastic around the part that connects the spoiler to the body popped out, and the area on the spoiler were the part was connected just sort of, crumbled away.

It dawned on me that the spoiler was (probably) made from Gold Plastic. So now, I have a spoilerless rodimus, because of GPS. If it is gold plastic that is. If it is, if anyone can confirm it for sure, then a warning for anyone who has the original hasbro release of animated rodimus, the spoiler may be ready to pop right off.

Or it could just be a coincidence.

Can anyone confirm?

I do not think it is GPS, and most Animated figures have a big QC problem with crumbling, because of the soft plastic Hasbro used for the figures. I had an Animated Blurr just sitting on my shelf and his arm just fell off and would not reattach to Blurr's hing. So its more of the type of plastic they used.

Animated Arcee's thumb broke off. It's not a news anymore.

I know that's a widely addressed problem. I was just bringing this up because his spoiler's Gold.
