I almost bricked my old one. And I'm hoping I can get this version to compensate for my older model.

And also because I like the idea of having custom firmware on it.

If I remember correctly I think Sony said it would be in the nieghborhood of $200- $250, but that is not set in stone yet. Probably does not help you too much.
