Everywhere else they are about $12, but are on sale most of the time too.

walmart is always cheaper and is closet to me, so they tend to get my buisness. The commander class guys tend to be more expensive elsewhere too so they are usually $2-3 cheaper than the deluxe's no matter where you are (or equal in value (give or take a $1) at Toys R Us Express xP )

That's seems to be the norm, I don't know why TRU is always so much more expensive, that keeps me from buying from them unless it is an exclusive.

Buying the deluxe class just isn't what I am into. I had been enlightened to the smaller sizes when I had bought Animated Activator Starscream. I had always thought they were junky overpriced kiddie toys, until I pulled off the road in a snowstorm in Benton Harbor, MI. Waiting out blizzard conditions I walked the toy isle and decided to pick up Starscream and Grimlock, the only Animated I had bought for myself at the time.

The quick transform on Starscream and articulation were great. After picking up several more Activators I realized I could have a collection that covers most of the characters in a series and I wouldn't have to dedicated massive amounts of shelving to display a collection. I had then moved onto the Legends class.
While not being articulated the offer a good representation of the characters in both robot and alt mode.

I love the Legends\Cyberverse line and try to stay up on them when I can.
I really wish I would get my act together and pay the extra money to get the EZ versions as they get figures we may never get. My biggest regret is passing on the Cybertron clear spaced out version(not really sure it's official name) set of Prime\Megatron\Starscream, last time I saw even one of them on ebay Megatron was sold by himself, broken and he still sold for over $20.

I've stopped thinking about the price so much as they are my current hunts and I only pick up deluxe or larger if it's really cool or has a mini-con or weapon I could put to use. The Commander class offers pretty decent articulation for there size and I am ok with that.

You'd need a huge shelf to cram all this goodness on if they were deluxe or larger.

Everyone has their scale likings ^_-

The deluxe class just happens to be my version of “fun size.” The scale feels good in my hands and is fun to play with without feeling like it’s going to break… most of the time xP

I actually enjoy the Commander Class guys, for the most part, but I still find more enjoyment with the deluxe’s and voyagers (the chunkiness of the latter is oddly appealing xD ). The side of me that’s frugal & something of a scale whore gets annoyed when a figure that’s half the size is just about the same price xP It just makes me feel like I’m getting less “bang for my buck.”

The leaders do for me what the commander class does. Though it’s not so much the “less bang for my buck” thing as it is a “that’s a crap ton of money.” If I kept to my monthly play-budget it would mean a month and a half of saving to buy the thing… yeah, I’m working on the anti-splurge thing this year. Lol. Still. I own 5 Leader class figures and of them I only paid full price for 2. The other 3 I got for 50-75% off and of the two Ultimate's I have I paid $8 for one (used, fully functional and will all pieces except the missile accessory) and $50 (new) for the other.

Legion class wise… they feel awkward in my hands and I dislike the lack of articulation. I’m more OK with the lack of elbows than the lack of knees though.

I own a few legion’s from the DOTM and HftD lines but I’m only really happy with HftD Optimus, Starcream and Megatron. I found them to be a lot of fun transforming and they are aesthetically pleasing, even if two of them lack knee joints. DOTM Soundwave, the ROTF repaint, I thought had a fairly nice robot mode but I dislike the satellite form and the transformation was boring. I’m impartial to Rodimus and Bee who came in the set with him (I honestly only picked it up because it was $4 or $5 and I thought I’d give the tiny guys a shot since I was getting 3 for the price of 1). Same goes for HftD Prowl. I didn’t think his design was all that great but since I enjoyed the other from the line I thought to give him a shot. Yeah, he kept me from buying Trailcutter.

The Deluxe and Voyagers may take up more shelf room but I’d rather have a higher enjoyment level than more figures per shelf. You enjoy the mini guys so it works out all around for you xD Me, I’ll find room for my bigger, more bulky dudes :D And I have to, considering I also collect somewhat fragile Tin Toys that run the same size (and bigger) x3 I'm excited to be getting a newer (bigger) room xD More shelf space!

Weapon: Reciprocating Laser Cannon
Nope, they aren't. I have Guzzle, which is supposed to be the best of his class (read: more G1 than the others), and I don't really like the plastic - the mold is full of holes, so the whole figure feels cheap and lightweight - like it is a Knockoff instead of an original. The articulation is very limited, not like a scout-class, but more of a legend.

From the others, I've seen and transformed Powerglide, but it was another disappointment (the rockets are a laughing stock, with one having a curve in it) and it had the same plastic feeling.

Maybe the only one worthy is Sentinel Prime, but there are bigger and better versions of him.

I picked up Powerglide but was overwhelmed. Lack of neck articulation is a problem. I passed no everything else after examining pictures.

I can see your point, it took me a long time to enjoy them, I regret passing up on them through the Classics and Cybertron releases.

Satellite Soundwave is stellar though. He has so many configurations, he can even quasi-attach to Ravage to form sort of a rocket

You can also rearrange his limbs and give him a bipedal Zoids-like mode, he is one of the best out there, I think.

The RTS Legends are what they are, and were a long time coming. Get Megatron whatever you do.
