Alexis's crush (?) on him was sweet but just had my complimentary commentts on YouTube deleted because a load of teenage girlies insist he and Alexis were a couple!
Ok, it's an age-old parable that appears in movies, stories etc that a 'baddie' can be converted by the faith and friendship of an innocent child, that's why she cared for him so much but she is a child so how could they be a couple?!
Anyone agree?
G1's Screamer was cooler than Armada’s IMHO. Armada’s Bad Boy Who Secretly Has A Heart of Gold mimicked a trend that has been done to death in recent years in mainstream drama and in horror, i.e. Spike, Angel in BTVS, Logan in V Mars, Tim in FNL. A gender (sexuality)/"colour" (white? black?)ambivalent, highly emotional (yet a scientific type) who is 2nd in command, but also a traitor is far more original and striking IMO. Re Alexis, Screamer, as mentioned, strikes me as very sexually ambivalent - if not outright gay (if TFs
have preferences) and is, therefore, the last TF one would logically place with a female. Worse, this female was human and canonically, I believe Screamer has long since shown his contempt for the race. I see Armada Screamer as TC (Thundercracker)under a different (more prominent) name. I saw some moral ambivalence, perhaps, in TC but little in Screamer. Under no circumstances would Starscream join the Autobots, however casually or formally. Alternatively, he (Armada's SS)
was indeed Starscream, but just written massively out of character.
