With the 3rd party Not-Blastoff and Not-Swindle figs sold out years ago, I ain't touching that with a ten-foot pole.

meh... easy pass, how many repaints we got of this guy already? "exclusive" haha oh man... bring on some new designs! or even G1'likes, c'mon! I understand some places didn't get this design when it came out but bringing out the "same thing" 7 years later... now that's funny!
but all good, I'm sure someone will go crazy and drool over this one...

Well that's unexpected. Interesting to note that Onslaught, Swindle and Vortex have significantly different paint decos than the Target set.

Perfect opportunity for FansProject to make up a whole new batch of Not-Blast Offs and Not-Swindles and re-release them, capitalizing on this new Bruticus release.

Bizarre move when you consider they already have ANOTHER Bruticus hitting the shelves. Why put out a competing product that's several years out of date?

I buy everything Combaticons, and Im still gonna pass. Considerding I use the Fansproject, set, I dont see much change for my buck. Especially since my energon Onslaught with Reprolabels is virtually the same as the new one. Maybe if they had done the truck cab in blue, but not more damn grey...

I certainly hope they do. If I get word of a re-release, I'll be sure to get this Bruticus set. But until then... >:oP

Maybe they were trying to ride on the popularity of the FoC Bruticus fig?

Maybe it's from Bruticus overload, but I'm having trouble remembering the schemes of this guy in his past iterations. Someone needs to post some side-by-side comparisons of all the individual figures. Someone with lots of time. >:oP

Oh! I was just talking about the same mold originally from Energon. Debating buying the thing, but want to make sure it's different enough to talk myself into it. If no one post, I'm sure to dig after work to do the comparison. Heh.

- Energon Bruticus Maximus
- Universe 2008/RotF Bruticus Maximus

Looks like another redeco to me, albeit a slight one.

Swindle had a purple cockpit with a blue nose (instead of both being tan), and his $ signs seem to be missing. And his light tan stripes on each leg are now yellow.

Blast Off's forehead appear to be orange instead of maroon.

Onslaught has a completely new color scheme, with all of his light gray part now dark blue, his light brown-gray parts now dark gray, and, his torso now light gray, and his crotch now green. His truck cab is now also light gray.

Vortex's dark blue is now dark teal.

Brawl's two-tone dark and light greens are now one-tone dark green.

And, all Energon Weapons are now gray instead of red or orange.

Okay, seeing them together, this is sold. All the changes seem like they're better choices, and better nods to the G1 schemes. But the weapons being solid color, that cinches the deal. :-?

Thanks for the compare contrast, by the way!!!

Oh yeah! The TFCC bots. Forgot all about those... can't find them either. They were so far spaced apart, I've never been able to locate and put them in the same place to combine them. :BANG_HEAD:

Notice how they cover its terrible terrible terrible feet up with the logo?

I does look better than the previous Red Hand Gang release though.

Was there an upgrade set for this like there was for Superion?

Oh yeah. The upgrade set for this was waaaay better than even the Superion upgrade. Highly, highly recommended. Extra feet and hands came with a new Swindle and Blast Off.

You can bet those two will be swapping into this set soon after it's released.

Red Hand Gang - ROTFL. I'd love to see an alternate bio card for that. Hilarious.

I love the fact that the hand/feet/weapons are now grey. They look more imposing that the blue/orange originals, but not as imposing as the Fansproject arsenal. I like universe/ROTF Onslaught's color scheme better(minus weird leg mistake)better that this Asia exclusive, but i think this one blows Barricade and the Energon lineup out of the water.Hopefully prices will drop and Crossfire 02 Munitioner and explorer will see a reissue as well for everyone.
