The repaints themselves are pretty well exactly what was expected, and thus not terribly exciting... but those new weapons might just be worth the purchase on all four.

Thundercracker and Bluestreak look awesome. Motormaster (I don't care what they call him) and Hoist are ok.

...Bluestreak has G1 Inferno's gun, did he always?

EDIT: Oh, turns out he did, though it's a touch different.

The weapons look decent, but the one that really sticks out in Motormaster's sword. Makes me really want this one to get a stateside release.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we hear that some of these are slated for a Wal-Mart exclusive set release in the fall? I know Motorbreath was one that was mentioned and would be called Motormaster. I even think they were coming with their weapons too.

That's right. Thundercracker and Motorbreath will be included in an upcoming Walmart exclusive gift set with repaints of RtS Laser Prime and Jazz. Don't expect name changes however, as "Motormaster" has been out of Hasbro's reach for years.

Ah, I'd completely forgotten about that. The previously unreleased G2 Combat Hero Prime deco and the presumably G2 inspired Jazz deco. :)

I just picked up a Thundercracker off eBay. Some auction had 10 before I went to bed. I woke up this morning all they were all sold.
It only cost me 13 compared to the 40+ for the Takara version. Now just need Skywarp. :CON:

I thought the weapons would be chromed. I thought I saw pics of a chromed weapon for Motorbreath at least, or maybe I just imagined the whole thing..

o_O; Have you been living under a rock? These are Legends/Cyberverse Legion class figures.

I take you've never heard of Legends before, or as they're currently called Cyberverse Legion Class. Reveal the Shield had 6 of them, 5 new molds and a repaint:

- Optimus Prime
- Starscream
- Trailcutter
- Prowl
- Megatron
- Gold Bumblebee

Those "Happy Meal toys" are repaints of the first 4.

alrighty, so they are a different toyline so thats good to know. its just that the packaging looks exactly like the one my starscream from a few years back came in. so i thought they just dropped 10 notches in quality for no reason. lol

I'm really interested in both Bluestreak and Motormaster.

The presence of added weapons looks extremely nice as well, like getting more stuff for our money and more play value.

You must have Universe 2008 Starscream then. Generations and Universe share roughly the same style and colors:

If these are Asian exclusives, then why is the packaging exclusively in English, and says Hasbro instead of Takara Tomy?

Also, please explain why TF toys cannot be ordered directly from Asia? I bought iGear toys directly from their store, and they shipped from Hong Kong.

That is because Takara is Japan only. Hasbro takes care of the rest of the world.

And, to clarify further, these are Asia exclusives, NOT Japan. Thus, these are Hasbro products, not Takara.
