I "second" these 2 questions. The response to the first one would be hilarious, and the response to the second one would be quite interesting, I think.

I third these

I apologize if this is on a previous page somewhere...

What American Transformers cartoon has the best intro and why? This question will obviously allow different seasons, like G1's and Beast Wars' different Seasons 1,2, and 3 intros.

(My vote goes to either G1 Season 3 or Beast Wars Season 2.)

This one's a bit of a multi-part question.

What are ya'll opinions about the Japanese G1 cartoons and the remaining fiction that carried on after them (before Beast Wars came, though). Specifically,
  • What do think of The Headmasters? How does it compare to the first three seasons of the G1 cartoon? Does it fit in with those better than "The Rebrith"? Was "The Rebirth" handled better than The Headmasters was? Which version had the better characters? What were the main pros and cons of this series?
  • What's your opinion on the Chōjin Masterforce series? Was its uniqueness (i.e. - human TFs, Devil Z, Chōkon Power, etc.) too radically different from the *normal* kinds of TF series? Does it still hold up to you? How did you feel about the characters being primarily human/organic instead of wholly robotic? What did you consider to be good or bad in this series?
  • What are your thoughts on Victory? Did it evoke that nostalgic feel of the G1 cartoon, in which the episodes are mainly standalone episodic stories each? How do you feel about the "70's mecha anime"-styled designs of the characters? Could the show have done better to make itself more enjoyable, or was it fine as it is?
  • Any comments on the Zone OVA episode/fiction, Return of Convoy fiction, Operation Combination fiction, Japanese G-2 fiction, etc.?

I'm curious about the depth of yall's knowledge of this particular era. :-B

What is your favorite non-Transformers series that involves Mecha (Voltron, Power Rangers, etc.)?

I've got an intentionally funny question that hopefully will lead to an equally hilarious conversation/response:

How would you explain Kiss Players to someone who has only basic knowledge of Transformers? To set the ground rules, they've seen the live action movies, and not much else.

Thought of a more... "feasible" question.

The Energon/Super Link anime is widely considered to be one of (if not the) least best TF cartoon series. However, since every cloud has a silver lining, is anything that occured in this cartoon that you genuinely found to be cool?

Examples (these don't need to be mentioned in the podcast if you don't want to):
  • The Optimus Supreme vs. Unicron fight
  • Inferno's internal struggle of trying not to be turned evil
  • Kicker's suit and use of weapons enabling him to take part in battles
  • A certain character's design
  • A line of dialogue
  • Optimus' combined forms
  • Shockblast in his initial appearances
  • Starscream actually being loyal to Megs (even though it was originally forced)

IF they do another train-based combiner, would you rather they used the name Raiden, Rail Racer, or a new name?

I am a fairly recent, casual collector of the toys. I've tried to just stick to the characters I really like, but some of the toys are just too cool to pass up.

As I ripped open a new toy the other day, my brother asked why I didn't want to keep it in the box, as it would be more valuable one day. I told my brother at the time that I really enjoy taking the toys out of the packaging and playing. But now, I've had to think about that - my conclusion, though I haven't done so yet, is to buy two. One to play with and one to save. I guess my attitude is that I'd rather be able to hold the toy than to just look at it from afar - I guess it's a matter of preference, kinda like classic car guys - some gain great joy from driving these rare machines while others prefer to keep it in the garage and look at it.

My question to you is, do you keep your toys mint in the box, or do you rip open the package to hold the toy in your hot little hands? Do you buy two? If you take it out of it's packaging, do you keep the packaging? Is the value of what it might be in the future a factor?

Thought of another one.

The AllSpark Almanac II book has been responsible for making several recent retcons to the Transformers lore. Included in these changes was the act of incorporating several non-Transformers series into the Transformers fiction.

Specifically, both the Challenge of the GoBots and Robotix series are now considered to be Transformers series, with the robot characters of each series (GoBots - Guardians & Renegades; Robotix - Protectons & Terrakors) being the iterations of the Transformers in each of those series (Gobotron is also now a form of Primus, and Robotix's Compu-Core is now a Vector Sigma node).

In addition, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Inhumanoids, Jem and the Holograms, and C.O.P.S. are all now canon to the Generation 1 Transformers cartoon continuity.

What are your thoughts and opinions about these shows and their newly-established connections to the Transformers?

Do you think they should make a complete remold of Armada Sideways and release it in Generations? (Well, at least I do.)

What do you make of the so called "Human Alliance Soundwave"

When do you think that Hasbro will release a G1 style Arcee? Sure there was Animated, but WE WANT G1!!!! :BOOM:

My Question for the group:

The Masterpiece Line has had 5 unique characters (-repaints)all from the original animated movie, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, and now Hot Rod. The line has been "confirmed" to be continuing (Card for future "coins" included with Rodimus), What characters would you like to see and what characters do you actually expect HasTak to make? Must be unique/new molds and no repaints! Thanks!

My personal Masterpiece list:

Want: Might actually happen:
Springer Galvatron
Cyclonus Kup
Arcee
Ultra Magnus (g1-style and no freaking repaint!)

Here's one for the crew. Out of all the various incarnations of Optimus Prime and Megatron which is your favourite toy version of them and which is your favourite TV show version?

How do you guys feel about te GEEWUNNERS aspect of the fandom, who see everthing new and different as bad?I have some quotes here from the most recent example in the Transformers Prime 'Convoy' Promo Video topic:
Megatron Wolf wrote:And here i thought the show couldnt get any worse, well theres now officially no chance this show can be salvaged. Never thought id say this but please give the franchise back to the japanese, at least their last 2 series were watchable, gimmicky as hell but watchable unlike prime and animated oh and bayformers.

budmaloney wrote:Hell yeah.
It took Hasbro so long to realize that Optimus Prime's trailer is what makes Optimus Optimus. Otherwise he's naked and just a crappy truck.
2 movies! we had to go through two crappy movies to get the glory of this trailer.
WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG.

I don't care what their reason is, it was uncalled for, just like Devastator's family jewels.

So for TFP I'm glad to see the trailer, I know 100% it's not permanent thing. The Trailer looks awesome here.

Okay this is going to sound dumb to you twincasters out there, but I’ve got some questions, first off: do you need an ipod to listen in? And if so what type? And last but not least, do I require a fast computer? Because if I do, I’m not going to be able to listen in.

It's just a MP3 file, so you can download it directly and listen to it at your leisure. You don't need an iPod to listen to it. Any basic audio program on your computer should work.

I'm being cheaty and answering some questions here:

Silverwulf wrote:Here's one for the crew. Out of all the various incarnations of Optimus Prime and Megatron which is your favourite toy version of them and which is your favourite TV show version?

Toys: RiD Prime, the figure is so much fun and if ever I get around to enjoying posing a Prime toy, it's him. He rocks my socks.

Energon Megatron, all versions, large and small. This is one toy that I just enjoy holding and transforming. He's got such great sculpting, unobtrusive gimmicks, and personality, I just love it.

Shows: Armada Optimus AND Megatron. When I think back, most versions of Optimus annoy me. He's written very one-dimensionally since G1. (love G1 Optimus though, but that's an easy choice) Armada Prime is powerful, cunning, and even kind of wild at the end. Armada Megatron is the very definition of Megatron and plus, I like his antlers.

I fully expect Galvatron to show up. I expect his announcement at the end of the year with a similar release if not sooner than Hot Rod had.

I would not be surprised if at some point Soundwave gets a MP release, but I kind of expect them to start doing some smaller MP figures with characters who can be scaled down like Bumblebee.

Fuc kYes.

Jun k.

Sometime late into the movie line, with the figure snuck into Generations.

Victory Leo.

I'd ride around on his back looking for that sissy flying dog thing from Never Ending Story and pick a fight with it while singing the TF Victory theme song...

Vic,.. Vic,.. VICTORY!

Or Jazz. Jazz is cool too. (As long as he doesn't shoot me)
