Assassin's Creed discussion

First off, this has become one of my favorite games. The history and overall depth of the games has made me an avid fan.

In the last few weeks I've beaten AC II and Brotherhood. I will admit that the ending of Brotherhood pissed me off. It went from the normal head scratcher ending to a "I'm pissed off with how that played out" ending.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to AC3, bur from the looks of it, we won't be seeing anything about it until May and that's if we're lucky.

I did notice something in the ending of Brotherhood and in the AC2 glyph sequences that I think will give us an idea of where AC3 will be taking place. I'm suspecting that it will take place during the American Revolution. Why? Well, let me explain the hints which have very minor spoilers.

1. In AC after a certain number of glyph sequences have been completed, Subject 16 actually starts ranting and raving as a series of memories start to string together in his madness. He mentions being in the Revolution and is freaking out about blood on his coat from a wounded soldier. Apart from Altair and Ezio, this is the only other person that we know Subject 16 to have been.

2. In the end of Brotherhood when you enter the Apple room the Piece of Eden activated and starts spewing symbols all over the room. Shaun mentions in his facsination a Masonic eye and a Phygrian Cap. Being a bit of a history buff, I'm pretty sure that those symbols only appear together in early American history.

The floor is open now, go ahead and discuss and speculate you AC junkies!

I'd like it during the American Revolution... that would be sweet. Either that, or feudal China.

You're the second person to mention something about fuedal China or Japan being a good setting. I just have a hard time seeing it. If they go that route, then I'll just have to see what happens.

American Revolution would be great because you can already use quite a few historical characters as part of the Assassin's order. Signers of the Declaration of Independence and Benjamin Franklin would be able to take the place of Leonardo Da Vinci as the inventor.

I'm not sure who could be what in Asia as I don't have very good knowledge of the history.

They say that Altair's last days were spent in Mongolia to kill Ghanghis Khan. I can see Desmond having some sort of ancestor there. Tons of Chinese history involving great wars between different kingdoms in China that could be the basis of an interesting. China's also the basis of alot of gun weaponry, among other things.

But yeah, 1700's America would be pretty sweet too.

By and large, my favourite part of the Assassin's Creed games has been the few times I've gotten to run around as Desmond. Regardless of what the new setting may be, I hope the intermission sequences give us more opportunities to practice his new skills and learn more about his fellow Assassins after his sessions on the animus.

That would be cool! I was hoping in Brotherhood that we would have got more use of Desmond after logging out of the Animus, but all we got was Desmond running around and being able to look menacing with his hidden-blade.

I'm hoping that in his offtime between memory sequences, we'll be able to do some modern missions in which Desmond can actually use various weapons and do stuff to foil Abstergo.

I started reading through the Assassin's Creed Wiki and I do like the idea of the the new assassin running around in Mongolia trying to take out Ghenis Kahn. This is, I'm just not entirely sure how they could wrap the Knight's Templar into it.

I'm also thinking this in terms of the trend in the game. It seems that the Assassin's are going forward in time. Altair, and then Ezio several hundred years later makes me think that the next assassin would come after Ezio Chronologically speaking.

Does anyone play Project Legacy on Facebook? I'm wondering when the new expansion is supposed to come out.

I noticed that when I first played the game! I was just running and then saw Optimus sticking out of a building...and I just sat there staring at it.

Anyone else excited for Assassin's Creed Revelations?

From what I understand this game is going to be twice the size of Brotherhood. Desmond is also getting a lot more game time and missions.

Ezio's new look is awesome too. I love how they blend his traditional renaissance look with that of the middle east.

Here's hoping for a new Play Arts figure of him.

It's stupid that they're using Ezio again. I like him, but damn. Three games with him, when they're supposed to rotate their characters? It's stupid. And this feels like it won't be a sequel, but a continuation of Brotherhood, which was already just an extension of AC2.

Well, the interview showed that it isn't so much Ezio this time as making use of all 3 characters this time around.

Also, Ezio rocks!

Anyways, AC 2 talked about the renaissance being a critical time and Subject 16 knew it. Well, the 2 games never really go over why it was so important and this seems like they are finally going to wrap it up before they move onto the next era in AC3.

I know some people don't like their games drawn out like this, but I kinda do as long as they can pull off the story and gameplay well.

I think it will also be interestig to see the full life cycle of an Assassin. Since 2 was released we get to see an assassin not only learn how to become one, but also become a leader of them and now become a mentor.

I love the depth of this series!

Yeah, apparently Ezio gets an ancient device that's pretty much the Animus, and uses that to play as Altair the same way Desmond would play as the both of them. Also Desmond is still playable.

I still have to play Brotherhood...I also have to play Assassin's Creed 2, actually.

So it's going to be Desmond playing Ezio playing Altair? :BOOM:

ZERO

I didn't even bother with multi player. I wanted the game for the actual Brotherhood storyline.

I love the new sig Blurrz. It makes me so proud to know that the Brotherhood is growing on this site.

Sorry, my memory is fuzzy at the moment?

Is that the Copernico story or the Davinci dissapearance?

PSN crashed right before I could get the Davinci expansion. I'm going to get it soon though.

Ezio's narration makes the trailer even more awesome. And here I thought Woodkid did a good job of making it epic.
