Weather or not they pick up another film, I'd like to see them keep going on the comics or at least the novels.

Are they the greatest.....no.
Are they better then nothing.... yes

I think they will follow it up, in comic form at least. Maybe they'll explain what happens to the rest of the Cons after they're leaderless.

And you have just proven why I hate Hollywood. As long as a movie makes MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars and was good with audiences they'll make a sequel, regardless of if it's nessecary or not. DOTM tied up loose ends, all who pose a threat are dead.

BAY DOESN'T WANT TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE, if we get a replacement director who's worse, people will want Bay back. If better, Bay will be bashed more.

If there's a fourth and it's NOT a reboot, remake, etc. I'll be angry.

Or Prequel? Or a new series. I don't think they could make a sequel without Shia anyways.

Spielberg is rumored to take over the franchise for movies. ^^; And Bay is working on the fourth live action TMNT film currently, so he's going to be busy for a while.

I don't think good with audiences falls under that, just look at the GI Joe movies,Jaws one did good and then another came but Jaws 2 sucked and only because of money 3 and 4 were made, I highly doubt that it has to be a good movie to get a sequel >:oP

You are generalazing,if HAsbro,Michael Bay and others don want to make a sequel, they wont.
A prequel series would be cool.

Why not? They could allways make a time jump and use a more mature actor than him.

Transformers Animated didn't get a continuation in comic form! :-x Watch the movieverse get a similar treatment.

I have a feeling there will at least be one more movie, given how much money the trilogy has made.

I'd prefer it if a sequel is made. I think there's way too much unnecessary rebooting going around these days (Spider-Man, Hulk, etc). Hopefully with someone else directing we can have less juvenile "comic relief" and story lines with a little more thought put into them.

Why not? keep it going but they will have to dig into the decepticons since in every movie they all seem to get killed...

What's the problem? Cyclonus, Scourge, Sweeps, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Stunticons, other Combaticons, Sunstorm, Coneheads, Jhiaxus, Blitzwing...
And basically, the list goes on.

I don't necessarily need loose ends to justify a sequel. Many sequels were driven by the success of the prior film and the fact that someone has ideas for the direction of the franchise. I have no problem with movies being made because they were popular and made money.

If enough people want to see them and someone wants to write them I don't see the issue.

*Edit: However, being a successful film doesn't necessitate a sequel. If no one has a good story to tell the franchise should be allowed to rest/die.

It has already. We haven't had movie comics for the past 3-4 months and I doubt we'll ever get back to them.
