Transformers Animated didn't get a continuation in comic form! :-x Watch the movieverse get a similar treatment.

I have a feeling there will at least be one more movie, given how much money the trilogy has made.

I'd prefer it if a sequel is made. I think there's way too much unnecessary rebooting going around these days (Spider-Man, Hulk, etc). Hopefully with someone else directing we can have less juvenile "comic relief" and story lines with a little more thought put into them.

Why not? keep it going but they will have to dig into the decepticons since in every movie they all seem to get killed...

What's the problem? Cyclonus, Scourge, Sweeps, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Stunticons, other Combaticons, Sunstorm, Coneheads, Jhiaxus, Blitzwing...
And basically, the list goes on.

And you have just proven why I hate Hollywood. As long as a movie makes MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars and was good with audiences they'll make a sequel, regardless of if it's nessecary or not. DOTM tied up loose ends, all who pose a threat are dead.

I don't necessarily need loose ends to justify a sequel. Many sequels were driven by the success of the prior film and the fact that someone has ideas for the direction of the franchise. I have no problem with movies being made because they were popular and made money.

If enough people want to see them and someone wants to write them I don't see the issue.

*Edit: However, being a successful film doesn't necessitate a sequel. If no one has a good story to tell the franchise should be allowed to rest/die.

It has already. We haven't had movie comics for the past 3-4 months and I doubt we'll ever get back to them.
