I got three of four micromen today and...there quality! the articulation is the best period when it comes to 3.75 , now iv'e had a tone of Marvel Universe and starwars and most figures are limited , these microman have the same articulation as the best marvel legends :michaelbay:

Probably wont get photos up for a day or two as these needs some time to sit and play with ;)

You and Cobs'll have to get Microman/Micronaut thread together

I meant to ask you if you go all of Superion in the same haul? I have been starting to dig on the combiner war figures.

However, they are like 4 leaf clovers at the local retailers anyway...TRU, Walmart. It's like they don't know what TFs are...

Yeah i bought them all together . TBH i got caught up in the hype and the thrill of the purchase , Donny .

I'm not a big fan of them , i put of for weeks buying them and i could have put off a lot longer

While some of the individual figures are cool enough for some very basic hasbro deluxe the combined mode is something left to be desired

Me personally i would'nt recommend them to collectors like me and you who are big on MP and 3rdp MP and combiners

when i combined Superion i felt instant buyers remorse then when i got my haul and he was sitting next to them he just sucked so hard .

I should have just bought a 3rdp figure .

A microman thread would be cool :D

:-( hmmm...well now that makes me think twice about them...lol. I would love an MP Superion he was always a fav of mine.

I looked at Uranos, but their Silverbolt leave a little bit to be desired IMO and the 6th member that turns into the chest plate...meh. The figures all look good but the reviews I have watched have shown to many fiddly things for the figures and the gestalt mode...and at 5 bills that's a lot of buyers remorse if he's not at least 95% perfect...

Microman thread! Microman Thread! Microman Thread! let me know when you two collaborate, I want to live my microman fantasy vicariously through you two.

If you're wanting a Superion for your collection i would'nt buy CW , i bought them just to try out it was never gonna be part of my display , just something to play around with for that reason alone they might be worth picking up but not to display with MP and 3rdp combiners .

Uranos combined was great at the time and even better once i got the upgrade kit with the chest shield , now i really don't care for it i have him displayed separate.

The individual bots are still cool but they need cartoon heads , some one should have jumped on that . Alt mode are still really nice .

While not as G1 as combiner wars the robots and alt mode are still the better toys .

Thanks for the info, yeah I didn't want to display him in my MP collection. I just wanted a Superion and also mess around with the combiner wars toys...so maybe I will get them. I also am interested in Megs he looks pretty good for being a tank...

I agree on Uranos, I think it's just a case of I am not in love with it enough to spend the money on it when there are other figures I want more...

I think i was put off by DS & AB as limbs but if you want something to mess with might as well get these cw , like i said that's why i got them as i don't tend to mess with my MP .

I would just wait for another company to do a MP Superion , tbh and i feel the same way with Herc that Uranos is dated now , Hercs combined mode is still impressive but the limbs could be 100% better and i hate the poopy waist problem .

Here's a coupple of quick pics of cw next feral and herc .

Love the Micromen! They are such interesting lil dudes/dudettes.

Your photo-blitz is awesome love the Brawl smashing the Daniel/Spike Exo-suit :)

How do you like your G2 Sideswipe? Love mine. I just got the Dr. Wu set for him which I will feature in a collection up date at some point. I highly recommend it!

Thanks Donny

G2SS ? He wasn't even on the list to buy but at the time Va'al kept banging on about have great he was  so i took a closer look and now i don't have a MP Red Alert  i hope there is more comic styled characters that get the MP treatment the face sculpt is awesome and his weapons are badass , i know there is and will be more G2 repaints but i think any other straight up repaint will be a bore compared G2SS .

The DW kit is something i'm interested in . Looking forward to your updates ;)

Oh it was a while ago now . it was before i started officially collecting MP and i was deciding which Autobot cars to start with and G2SS ended up being my first repaint from the line and i didn't want to fill up on repaints so Red Alert got skipped .

So today i did what i said i wouldn't .. and thats buy classics figures again . It was only one and he only cost £12 and that's Generations Roadbuster tbh i thought this fella looked like a pile of sh*te when i first saw him released .

But i was board today and in need of some retail therapy the other two on the shelf i still have Whirl and Rhinox other wise i might have got some others .

Any way this guy is more fun than i thought due to the amount of weapon combinations i spent a while today messing around adding bit by bit

4 Things that would have made him an 8 or a 9

1. Wrist articulation

2. Waist articulation

3. His shoulders connected to a stronger post i keep thinking i'm gonna snap his arms off :-(

4. The wheels on his arms folded inside the forearm .

Other than that  ... He looks good and yes Luber he does look good with his gang :D

knock! knock! .....

just checking i still live here

So i have decided to take a break from only 3rdp TF for a while, im not quitting i just need a break from always dropping 60 -100+ every time i want a TF its just not healthy for me right now, the buzz is wearing off fast and im not enjoying collecting too much atm

i will still complete warbotron and ordin then after that im done for a minute .

There are a couple i have my eye on mainly MMC Carnifex and ive still got Apollyon paid for so im not completely out the game if somethings too good am on it ;)

but i just want ro relax and enjoy the hobby like i used to buying cheap fun TF , actually going to the shops and buying them

im not going back to classics , MP is still were im at , i just feel i need to go back to were i started to bring the fun back??

Combiner wars... as much as i have said i dont like them being out of my 3rdp bubble i relised this line is something i would have filled the cup for back in my classics only phase

even with all there flaws im now finding them more apealing not to put in my mp collection but for the reasons i mentioned above , so im going the takara route for the combiners and getting upgrades to help them out and the new other guys i can pick up at the shops

I thinks ive came full circle with collecting and im sort of going back to my roots  its like travelling the world ive been in and out of so many places but when your tired and need a rest theres nothing better than going home for a while to recharge your batteries before theowing yourself right back out there .

tbh i dont know whats going on :BANG_HEAD:

Well my friend, allow me to be the first welcome you back to the "other side of the tracks".
I hope your appetite for fancy well designed and engineered adult collectables hasn't completely spoiled you to the fun inside these simpler toys.

I hope Sexy Skeletor will drop by the old CW thread for a laurgh or two.

Sounds like you gotta take a break and clear your thoughts...take some time and COLLECT yourself, eh? (pun intended :) )

On another note I have to say you have echoed some of my feelings about collecting. I ran into the hobby full steam and have been having a blast but I also want to enjoy some of the simpler aspects of the official mainstream toys...maybe the problem is too much collecting and not enough playing?? Feeling like I have to be in the know on every new release and watching it's progress with gnawing anticipation. Making sure I get every great figure (or collection of figures) out there so my collection will be complete (presshiuss)...that's friggin' stressful...LOL

Well I'll still looking forward to seeing you in the threads and hope you find the direction and fun you need.
I am very suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I totally trust a dog that doesn't like a person...
