As the service drone went around the vast chamber collecting all of the materials Wheeljack had requested, the mechanical engineer toiled away on a small datapad, taking the needed time to design the Cybertronian armature they would require for the upcoming tests. Actually, ‘Jack was modifying a previous schematic, one that had been used to build Smokescreen’s new body. It no longer looked anything like the diversion expert as the mad scientist had stripped the blueprint down into a basic skeleton and circulatory system. He still internally chided himself for not saving Smokey’s old frame, but what’s done is done. There’s no going back now. They would just have to start from scratch. At least, the design phase was pretty much finished.

Finally, after what seemed liked vorns, the service drone pushed a filled hover-cart to the front of the room, letting out a few beeps and clicks to signify that it had completed the assigned task. Placing the datapad away in a hip compartment, Wheeljack approached the cart and peered inside to see if everything was present and accounted for. The engineer didn’t need the original list he had given to the drone as he had committed the necessary materials to his memory bank. A few astroseconds passed before ‘Jack looked over at the drone and gave the mechanism an approving nod. “Good job. Everything looks to be in order. I guess I’ll take it from here.”

Wheeljack then positioned himself at the rear of the hover-cart and gripped both of the handles. The Autobot inventor then pushed it towards the door which parted down the middle, exposing the corridor beyond. The drone beeped and chirped once more as ‘Jack exited the room and disappeared from sight.

Turbo Lift

It didn’t take long to make it back down to the turbo lift where Wheeljack stopped and waited for Perceptor to return with the needed parts from the medical bay. The engineer’s mind wandered for a brief time, hoping that both Smokescreen and Tracer had so far stayed out of trouble. He knew all too well that those two had likely already left the scientist’s lab. It was inevitable really. A mech could only take isolation for so long before boredom set in. ‘Jack really wasn’t that worried about the rallybot being out in the wild again as the red and blue mech had adjusted very well to his new form. It was Tracer that was of graver concern. Her mental condition and dependency on Syk could cause serious problems and thus draw unwanted attention to not only herself but to the rest of them, as well. The scientist prayed to Primus that Smokey was able to keep the troubled femme sane and under control for all their sakes.

Shaking himself from his thoughts, Wheeljack pulled out the datapad once more and began working on some refinements to the armature. It was both a way to keep his mind occupied on the task at hand and to ensure that the best possible test subject was ultimately created. Before long, Perceptor would arrive with the rest of the materials and then they could head back up to the science lab where the ore testing would commence and hopefully yield the desired positive results.

Bridge

Once Kup finally arrived on the bridge, he immediately made his way to the command chair and sat down. Wasting no time beyond his initial comment regarding his age, the old timer asked what Axle and Bluestreak had found out about those who had gone AWOL down on the planet below. The gunner almost answered but stopped his vocal processor from uttering a single word just as the field medic gave his report. It was a good summary of everything they had compiled together, but would it be enough to convince Kup that the end of all things was upon them?

“Axle’s right, Kup,” Bluestreak interjected, not being able to keep his mouth shut any longer. “It sounds crazy, yes, but it’s all true. The Fallen is inside of Rodimus and he intends to unleash Unicron on all of us if we don’t stop him. As you can see on the datapad, there was ancient Cybertronian writing on the walls of Hex’s little hideaway. There’s no way he could have written that let alone understood it if he weren’t under the Fallen’s influence. There were also coordinates that indicate the five of them are in an isolated region of the nation-state called Australia. I recommend that we take action sooner rather than later, sir. A surprise attack might work, but with the powers they possess they might see us coming anyway.”

Bluestreak paused for a moment before he continued, not liking what he was about to suggest. “Furthermore, and I hate to admit this, but I’m afraid we will need to form an alliance with the Decepticons, Commander. I was dead set against the idea from the moment Axle suggested it, but he’s right nevertheless. Only together as one Cybertronian race do we even stand a chance against supernatural powers such as these. The enemy of our enemy is our friend. However, like I told Axle earlier, we must be on constant guard and be ready for the ‘Cons to betray us the first chance they get. Once we win this battle against the Fallen, if we win, the ‘Cons will turn on us. It’s a certainty, sir.”

The black and silver mech then spared a glance over at Axle before returning his attention to Kup. It was hard the gauge the old warhorse and what his reaction might be to all of this. Perhaps he would believe them, or perhaps he would think they needed to be reprogrammed. Regardless, the Apocalypse was coming whether any of them wanted to admit it or not.

"Follow you. Sure. Why not?" Fireflight said agreeably as he angled off in the path that Air Raid was now following.

Seekers. Even in simulation form they weren't going to be easy to take down. A little warm-up might have been good for all of them. He would just have look at this as the warm-up for when they inevitably ended up sharing the air with the real thing. But they were Aerialbots.

If they couldn't handle even the best Decepticon air warriors, who was going to?

Even so, Fireflight did his best to relax and fly naturally. And maybe, just maybe, have a little fun too, like Skydive had suggested.

Fireflight followed Air Raid to the top of factory. The two now stood on the tallest thing in Kaon. The both heard Skydive's transmission, they know what they are supposed to blow up now. From the building they could see all 5 installations and all 10 seeker teams. Many lights sprung from the giant communications hub. It was an unmissable building, as it was a large one. Air Raid's optics suddenly fixed themselves on the seeker squad coming from the north.

"Okay, Fireflight. I am thinking that we should target the factory first. It is the closest installation to our location. We will leave the giant eye-catching communications hub the last. It seems to be heavily guarded" Said Air Raid as he glanced on the seeker squad.

Now if it was a general who desired victory (and victory only) for his team. He would have ordered to sneak past the seeker squad, as it was very easy to sneak by them and head to the factory. Air Raid is not a general and he does not desire victory, he is an Aerialbot and he desires blowing up stuff.

"See that seeker squad heading towards us? yup Fireflight, we're gonna extinguish their sparks with explosions. let the fun start!" Said Air Raid as he jumped from the building and transformed to his Alt. mod mid-air and started to fly.As he flew he moved slightly downwards because the building they were just standing above was so high that they saw the seekers from above as tiny humans.

In a few seconds Air Raid was closing near the seekers. They were still under him and the Red-and-White bot decided to take advantage of that. He released a missile from above the seekers. It blew up in the air damaging two if the seekers but killing none. Air Raid was now at the same height as the seekers.

"Hey! Decepticreeps! still hungry for more?" Taunted Air Raid before shooting one of the seekers with a hail of bullets. The seeker was shot by most the bullets but he quickly escaped the storm of bullets. Air Raid flew to a closer distance and there was only 10 feet between them now. He charged towards the seeker as he shot more bullets. It was only a few seconds before the decepticon smoked and fell to the ground with a crash.

"WHO'S NEXT?!" Shouted Air Raid.

Science Laboratory

Ironfist pressed a toggle lever on the edge of the work bench. His fingers wrapped around the extended metallic bar and slowly pushed it forward to activate a simulation of the recent compaction of the Interplanetary Subspace Space Bridge. Removing several junctions of the larger contraption had done wonders for the majority of power usage. It had streamlined the process, turning what was a massive power venture into an expenditure that was literally hundredths of fractions lower. However it was still not where the weapons designer needed the entire system.

The computer display morphed as the new data was processed and new calculations were considered. Soon the green wire frame rotated and transformed into a smaller sized version of the larger iris. Ironfist slowly released the toggle and began tapping his guarded chin. "Well that seems to have solved our power consumption problems Blaster," he commented slowly before breaking his stare and forcing the computer to activate three more technical schematics related to the Space Bridge generators and receiving devices.

Ironfist reached into the wireframe and allowed the computer to register his presence. Once his digits were combined with the holographic manipulation programs, he began to pull down large streams of data. After about twenty five pages of technical information the engineer stopped. Narrowing his optics he began to reread the diagram's specifications. Swiftly, and with a suddenness that would have surprised the Communication's officer, he reached out of the grid and took hold of a data slate that sat on the bench just ahead of Blaster. "Blaster..." He paused as his optics began to absorb the totality of the data slate.

Once satisfied that his initial theories had merit the engineer reached back into the grid and took hold of the smaller ringed focusing iris. With a mock grimace he pulled the device apart in dramatic fashion. With the two pieces that remained Ironfist began shaping them up into smaller pillars. The algorithm installed into the redesign programs immediately modernized the power conversion circuitry that had once inhabited the full sized circle.

"There," He commented as the new connections began to rework themselves with the new design. "The ring design consumed too much power for our purposes. Sure the removal of those other nodes brought it down in size and energy budget. But I was concerned that it would still be strong enough to be detected from orbit should it be used for prolonged periods of time." Ironfist explained to Blaster.

He rubbed at his optics, not sure how long they had been at this little program. Indeed he was still unsure as how far they had yet to go before this went from design phase to the more practical testing phase. "Of course it will require the addition of a primary field generation matrix that is separate from the primary focusing assembly. But the power and reliability of this new design will be markedly better than the original blue prints."

The frame pushed the new focusing pillars up to the top of the emitter grid and a newer smaller device was constructed before their very optics. It resembled the likeness of a triad digital camera pod that were used primarily on fighters to record battle sequences for future training. The simulator disassembled the device and labeled each component before restoring to a functional green block. Ironfist plugged in the sample data and began to run the first simulator.

Results were promising after the first dozen simulations. The range was limited to the planet and possibly the surface of Luna itself, with the appropriate modifications. The numbers confirmed his hypothesis, though he knew there were still variables he had yet to enter into the various formulas.

Ironfist immediately ran a supply check of the Ark 22 and the Guardian respectively in order to device the potential resources he might have had at his disposal. As the list scrolled past at rapid speed the engineer frowned behind his mouth guard. The recent supplies brought from Cybertron encompassed a great variety of categories. From construction materials to spare parts to new weapon systems waiting to be cataloged or assigned. But the construction of a Global Space Bridge Network was not exactly a common place event, which meant what the Engineering Team required was not readily available.

Plugging into the covert backdoor link into the Earth Internet Network, that Blaster's communications team had established, Ironfist began compiling a list of comparable systems, materials and minerals that could be used to augment their sorely lacking stores. There were several items that could be salvaged through controlled bounces from human refuse yards and scrap yards. However he found that narrowing it down to the specific types of materials was a bit more difficult. Primarily he required advanced electronic components primarily used in Human Radar stations... or at least something comparable. He was aware that he could coble something together, probably even more advanced than what humans used. But what he needed wasn't necessarily the device itself but the circuitry. And he needed a lens as well as refraction core to focus the beam but diffuse the projection to stabilize the event horizon.

"Blaster," he finally broke his silence. He swiftly filled in his compatriot with the least technical version of what he had begun to devise. Finally, once he was done explaining what he had done with the new redesign. Narrowing the profile, adding new redundancies and a relatively new innovation that allowed the singularity to open without the need of a receiving station, and of course increasing the effective range of the smaller version to the required specifications. "We need to start gathering materials to begin assembly of a testable model. While I work with the materials we have on hand in the lab to begin construction of the emitter, can you contact Ultra Magnus and request a small excursion to acquire the required materials we need from Earth?"

He slid the communication's officer a pad which contained the list of three primary samples he required for testing and the electrical circuitry he would need to work into the new systems. Diamond, Titanium and Depleted Uranium were the minerals he would need to test. He also had a few minor sample requests such as steel, Boron and Argon Gases. Each of the three minor items he had a small supply, but he wished to test the Earth variants for more off shoot projects, though the Boron would possibly serve for a related development to the Global Space Bridge.

Relatively certain that the message would be sent to the Sector Commander with ease and clarity that only Blaster could manage, Ironfist began to retool the simulator. He shifted controls to a more refined detail. A few moments later a panel on the floor slid open and through it rose a hover cart. Loaded on it were bits and pieces of metal.

The Weapons designer looked on the pile with a hidden frown. Not necessarily what he had ordered from the automated supply depot a level down. In fact it was probably less than half of what he had asked for. His answer to the question of why soon scrolled across the request screen. 'Some Assembly Required.'

"It would appear we will both get a hands on experience in constructing our first prototype Blaster. Umm, of course if you have any suggestions before we get started... I am all audio receptors." He swallowed back a gulp of dissatisfaction. The designs were anywhere near complete. He knew that, Blaster probably was aware of that. But in order to test what they had, they needed a model. It just meant that the two would soon end up getting their hands dirty far before either ever anticipated. Ironfist hefted up a torque wrench and another powered tool. He flipped the power drill over to Blaster with a hidden yet apparent smile.

It just meant that Blaster and he would have to fashion every angle and curve by hand. How hard could that be anyways?

Blaster watched as Ironfist made various adjustments and ran through several simulations. It looked promising from what Blaster could tell. The energy readouts were positive that this would work. In theory anyway. The communications officer had little experience building something of this nature. For all he knew, this would blow up spectacularly in their faces. Ah, well. That was the fun of it right? No. It wasn't.

Blaster took the data pad and looked over the list of requested materials. Some of these didn't exactly seem to pertain to the task at hand, but...Blaster wouldn't condemn Ironfist for wanting to get his actuators on some more raw materials. He had a few items of his own that he needed added to Ironfist's shopping list. The communications officer added a few materials that he needed. Silicon and copper wire mostly. What the humans had would likely be sub-par, but if he had the raw materials, he might could just make this work.

Blaster opened up a private communique to Magnus, not knowing where the newly appointed - duly appointed officer of the Tyrest Accord - supreme commander of the Autobots had decided to put down stakes, to borrow a human colloquialism.

>>"Ultra Magnus, sir. Ironfist and I are working on the Global Space Bridge Network that you requested, but we're short on the raw materials that we need to complete the prototype. We request that you send a team down to scavenge the necessary materials while we work on one of the components. Transmitting the list to you now. Oh, and, on an unrelated matter, the troops' morale is a bit low. Might help if you addressed them. Just a suggestion."<<

Blaster left the comm link open to await a response from Magnus. He turned to Ironfist with a look of dismay as he realized their current predicament. Grimly, the communications officer accepted the power drill that the weapons engineer handed over to him. He searched his databanks for a band.....ah, there they were. Metallica. He turned up the volume and smiled at Ironfist.

"We might want to get behind a blast shield before we fire this thing up for the first time," he said with a chuckle, "Let's do this."

Kup took the datapad from Axle as the other Autobot explained their findings. The old timer rested his right elbow on the armrest of the command chair, his hand rubbing his chin as he skimmed through the contents of the datapad, listening to first Axle and then Bluestreak explain their findings to him. They both seemed pretty confident and anxious to get started. That didn’t really surprise him, especially coming from Bluestreak.

“Alright lads, suffice it to say you’ve come to me with a pretty extraordinary story, even by my standards. I certainly can’t deny it though, not after what happened down there on Earth. The thing is though you are basing most of this on some graffiti you found in Hex’s room. Assuming this is all about the Fallen, who’s to say that message wasn’t left there for us to find to get lured into some sort of trap? I know you are both anxious to get down there and try to stop whatever is going on from happening but we need more information before we do that.”

Kup let out a sigh. “As for an alliance with the Decepticons, even under the best of circumstances that would be unlikely, and you two should know these are about as far from the best of circumstances as we can get. I couldn’t even tell you who’s in charge of the Cons on and around Earth now. Still, Magnus had a ceasefire with Onslaught on Earth, so maybe something can be done. Either way that decision is above my paygrade.”

“I will pass this information on to Ultra Magnus right away. In the mean time though we can try and shore it up a bit. He’s going to want some more concrete proof. Axle, take the science station, you should be qualified enough for this. Take a cursory scan of those coordinates you two found. Don’t make it too intense, just a sweep of the area, like we were scanning the planet for Decepticon activity, just a routine type of thing. If something is going on down there we don’t want to tip them off. Let me know what you find immediately.

>>”Ultra Magnus, I’ve just gotten a report from Axle and Bluestreak concerning Hot Rod and the others. They have evidence pointing to the Fallen and him possessing Hot Rod and those Bots and Cons with him. It’s pretty incredible but it does fit with what we saw. They think he is planning some Universe threatening stuff. We are scanning a site on the planet where they might be, but I think you will need to come out here to see the report yourself. They think this might be the type of thing that will require aid from the Cons, but slag if I even know if that’s possible. Either way I think this is worth following up on, especially since we don’t have any other leads on this that I know of.”<<

One barrel roll followed by some targeted shooting at one of the incoming Seekers. Silverbolt would surely be impressed by Fireflight's current level of focus on the battle and his distinct lack of other distractions. Fireflight, for his part, had to admit that it wasn't that difficult. Whatever he was dealing with just had to hold his attention better than whatever was around to distract him. That was an easy enough task for the moment.

"'Extinguish their sparks'? Geez, Raidy. That's a little harsh, ya think?" Fireflight said as he closed in on the factory that the other Aerialbot had targeted.

He didn't maneuver quite as fast as Air Raid, and ended up registering some damage on his rear wing. Not real damage of course, but just a decreasing percentage of his overall functionality. Or life bar. Or health. Or whatever the frag they wanted to call it.

"That hurt. Or, it would've, I guess."

The Ark-22 looked... empty. After the series of emergencies that had gone down in the medbay of the Guardian, the emptiness almost struck Remington in the face it was so conspicuous. Barely any guards standing in the corridors and accessways and even those carried hollow looks in their eyes.

It appeared recent events had an even deeper impact on morale. There was an air of restlessness hanging about. All the more reason for Remington to start doing medic business seriously and do her own part to lift it.

I hope everything’s alright. He said he was going to be helping Wheeljack in his lab. I know he’s worried about Hex, what with him being involved with what happened on Earth, but not letting Ratchet or me know…

Ahh, Wheeljack. The hottest crazy inventor ever to wear the Autobot badge. She knew him only by reputation and one or two fleeting glimpses, but just the thought of him brought an involuntary smile to Remington's face. If Axle was working with him frequently, maybe there was a chance to meet him in person and... well, a femme could dream, could she not?

This’ll probably be your first test, Remington. Get Axle to think straight.

Remington nearly froze in her step. A quizzical look and optic ridges raised in slight confusion were sent First Aid's way.

'A test? Get him... to think straight? What exactly do you mean by that?'

Outside Personal Quarters

Ultra Magnus had initially toyed with the idea of going to the commissary for a refueling session, he had also entertained the idea of going on a prolonged tour of his former and current command inspecting each and every rivet of his ship. He had also considered the possibility of simply ordering all hands to an immediate combat alert and entering major drill phases for the rest of the afternoon before Beta Shifts came online to relieve the primary day time officers. But he had rejected all of those notions. From the few he had spoken with, from Jazz to the lesser extent Hauler, who was as his typical quiet self seemed more dour than normal, the over all feeling was that of stagnation and fatigue. He couldn't blame them, spending months, eons on high alert would wear any mechanism down.

So he decided instead to retire to his reclaimed quarters of which he was immensely grateful that Springer had not appropriated during his own temporary stint in command. There he planned to begin the preparation and construction of his address to those of both ships currently in orbit. He wanted to acknowledge how hard their fight had been and how they had sacrificed for the ideals of freedom and liberty. Magnus also wished to inform the crew that he was assuming command and that they were to prepare for a new phase in their presence on Earth that included construction of a semi permanent presence on the planet. It would be their refuge and would provide them with a more stable position from which to push out the Decepticons from the system. Of course he had to also make a promise to bring to light the truth about the Dinobots and their actions regarding the damaged 19. That meant that particular scrap ball was somewhat in Ironfist's court. If the engineer wanted to press further charges regarding his enhanced damage due to radiation and the rough handling of Snarl... Magnus shook the thought from his processor. It was an issue better left to the inquiry rather than his own uninformed speculation.

Ultra Magnus pressed his palm on the security reader sensor and waited briefly as the internal computer searched its records for the corresponding magnetic energy signature. The red light at the top of the reader blinked twice before flipping over to a dull blue hue. The locks gave way and the doors slid open to reveal the sparsely furnished chamber. A single table with three stools sat at the farthest edge of the room, next to a floor to ceiling double thick sheet of transparent aluminum that presently looked out at the bridge of the Guardian, its near pristine curves and transparent bridge tower showing very little in the way of the wear and tear that came with an operational combat vessel. Hot Spot and his crew definitely kept their ship in top fighting condition, it was commendable.

As he stepped into the darkened chamber and turned slightly to the left, towards a recharging station connected to a small body length slab, his communications relay began to pulse to life. His optics narrowed briefly towards the wall monitor situated at the foot of the resting slab and he adjusted his course. Carefully he stepped over cluster of technical manuals that had been left in place after an emergency alert some time ago only to gather dust from neglect in his absence.

Magnus pressed the index finger of his left had upon the base of the computer terminal and activated the first link that had been sent. It was from Ratchet. The message was as he suspected, a typical analysis on how Warpath was barely functional and the lot. Magnus could hear the undertones of self doubt and blame that the doctor was placing on himself for not catching what was happening to Hot Rod, Magnus himself felt the same sort of fault when it came to his two subordinates who had been killed in the botched recovery mission.

"Understood Ratchet. I will come to visit Warpath when he is cleared for company. I also agree that it is time we meet to compare notes. Join me in the Captains Ready Room in two breems with your findings." He paused briefly for confirmation, knowing that the doctor had already stated he was in route to the 22 for a more immediate confrontation. For his part, Magnus was not exactly prepared to have a shouting match in his own quarters.

Off the screen feed, Ultra Magnus reached for a large power cable. He pulled the lever down to released the clamps and activate the generator fixed to the wall. Carefully he plugged the cable into a receiver assembly just above the central partition of his chest armor.

As the power began to surge into his internal systems the second communication came through. Pausing the feed to Ratchet, Magnus activated the link to Blaster. A bit of good news at last. Wheeljack's team was already entering the theoretical stage of development of several pieces of new technology, as so he inferred from the Communication Officer's message. He too was painfully aware that the items from the Longevity as well as the stores of the Ark 22 were for replacement parts, munitions and other already established uses. While many pieces could be repurposed and remade to fill the work of those engineers, it was apparent at the time of the assignment, Ultra Magnus was going to have to begin to dispatch scrounging parties to Earth. It was a part of their operations to construct Autobot City, at least it was part in parcel to that particular project. They would need to refine their materials on their own, mine them and harvest in order to not hinder the development of the organics and their economies, but that would still require time and optics on the ground.

He pondered briefly as to the list that was provided by the engineering crew. It seemed like a rather simple mix of metallic ores and mineral deposits that a team would have no problem finding, if they had the proper hand held sensors. What held his attention the longest was the prefabricated elements that were attached such as copper wire, which could be fashioned onboard through the harvesting of the appropriate ore, and the sensor turret. Swiftly he reread the list. He rejected the human made items outright. Unless they were derelict salvage, it was not worth the risk of procuring those items. "Blaster," he began. "I will see that your team gets what is absolutely necessary. I do not want this to become a scavenger hunt for rejected human parts however. Use what is available in the holds for your team's research and development. We will supplement where possible. Magnus out." He deactivated the link.

As he pondered what to discuss next with Ratchet the third and final channel flashed with urgency. Resigning himself to what would be a rather abrupt end to his few scheduled cycles of repose, Ultra Magnus activated the channel to the bridge. "Kup?" he spoke crisply as the internal power gages finally registered three quarters of capacity. Saying nothing as the elder statesmech of the Autobot cause began, Magnus could tell that it was something that required his more personal attention. In other words, he needed to meet with Kup and Axel face plate to face plate. "I am on my way to the Bridge now. Meet in Observation Lounge 1. It is larger than the Ready Room and will offer more amenities to your report."

Switching his channel immediately back to Ratchet he reactivated the link. "If your report is not of a private patient doctor nature that requires the utmost sensitivities, I would like you to join myself and Kup in the Observation Lounge. I trust we will all find our combined information valuable to fill in our rather sparse tactical knowledge."

Once the channels were closed and his power levels were at optimal levels, Magnus disconnected the charging cable and returned it to its terminal. He exited his quarters with a brisk pace narrowly avoiding the doors slow slide open. A pivot to his right sent him straight away toward the turbo lifts, his mind calculating even more possible variables that had been added to his day and the decisions that would soon follow.

Air Raid watched as Fireflight dived into the battle. He criticized Air Raid's "Extinguish their sparks" comment, saying it was a bit too harsh. "Well, if we don't extinguish their sparks, they could return from battle, and with a few repairs they will come back ready to roll. That's why blowing their sparks would insure that they would not survive our onslaught. Plus, if we leave their sparks alive after shooting them, they will only continue living but with great pain, but if we do what i do then we will give them a fast merciful death. That's why destroying their sparks is not as harsh as you think" Said Air Raid, arguing with Fireflight even though it was unnecessary to do that.

The red-and-white aerialbot then continued to fight the seekers. He maneuvered with swift speeds dodging most of the decepticon's missiles and bullets. "Hey, Flighy! let me finish off the bot you were just attacking" Shouted Air Raid before flying right behind the seeker the his partner was attacking a few moments ago. The seeker was about to turn around when Air Raid shot a series of missiles at him. They rocketed towards the poor decepticon, it wasn't a lot before a large explosion happened in exact spot where the seeker was floating. It turned the bot into little metal pieces and threw his parts all around the place.

2 done, 3 to go.

Air Raid was about to start with attacking the next seeker when he heard a projectile heading directly towards him. The aerialbot was fast and almost avoided the projectile, but it hit his left wing before he escaped. "Ouch!" screamed Air Raid. He flew downwards away from the seekers, a black mark was apparent on the aerialbot's left wing. He transformed into his robot mode and floated in the air. Air Raid pulled his Torque Rifle and pointed it at the seeker who just shot him, he put his fingers on the trigger and prepared to shoot the seeker down.

Tracer’s question to Mirage was quickly shunted and replaced with a new one. Smokescreen had diverted not only the concerned femme’s query but also the inquisitive probing from the blue and white spy. He was always good at his job.

The scout turned her head and looked at her companion with narrowed optics. What was he at? Why not let this Mirage character answer her question? He was asking about her pet anyway. Unless the spy was interested in Razr for some other reason.

She shook her head slightly as she gripped the turbofox around his haunches more firmly. If Mirage was asking about him for some deranged purpose then he’d have one hell of a time getting him away from her. With frightening thoughts running rampant around in Tracer’s head she quickly whipped her head around to look at the spy and quickly turned back to Smokescreen. “You know I just remembered that Smokey and I are late for…uhh…for that thing.” The femme’s head tilted slightly and her optics widened as she mouthed…"we have to go"… at the diversionary tactician. “I’m sure we’ll get a slew of comms if we don’t leave now. Come on Smokey.”

Tracer stood from her chair still gripping Razr and tucked him securely under her arm. She then took Smokescreen’s hand in her and gently coaxed the red and blue mech from his chair. She flashed Mirage a charming smile as she passed by him. “It was really nice meeting you. Maybe we’ll cross paths again.” Her smile quickly vanished as she quickened her pace toward the door. “Yeah. Like I’ll ever have that happen.” Tracer mumbled as she tugged Smokescreen along and out of the mess hall.

She picked up her pace while marching through the hall and looked over her shoulder several times to ensure the spy hadn’t followed suit. Finally, as she turned them around the corner she let Razr down and turned to Smokescreen, who she then backed up against the wall. “Okay, spill. There is no way anyone would care if my turbofox was a thoroughbred. And there’d be no reason for you to change the subject unless there was something you didn’t want me to know.” Tracer moved in closer until she was nearly pressed up against him. “And need I remind you that I know all of your diversionary tactics. So…” Tracer kept her voice soft and used on hushed tones.

Skydive tries to watch what Air Raid and Firelight are doing but is rather busy with his own squad of Seekers coming in from the northwest.

"Alright, Slingshot, let us take care of this first wave and show Air Raid and Fireflight they aren't the only ones up in the air. We might have to alternate between the Seekers and our ground targets."

As Skydive tried to plan things, a few shots came across his left side getting his processor back into the battle. He seen where it came from and banked to the right. Then he pushed his afterburners and got in range with his missiles. Once he was locked on, he launched a pair clipping one in the wing which slammed into two more taking all three down to the ground. His other missile hit dead center in a fourth Seeker blowing it apart.

Slingshot begrudgingly acknowledged Sky Dive's communique with a waggle of his left wing. He pulled in his flaps and leveled off as he darted into a bank of sulfuric clouds. Dropping his flaps again he pulled up out of the top of the cloud bank just as a pair of simulated tetra jets spun in to try and swarm the two Autobot Fighters.

The ground support fighter pivoted on his right axis and pulled his nose over into a sharp loop and dive. Two shrapnel filled mortars exploded from two launcher cannons based under his nose, both aimed directly into the sulfur cloud he had initially used as bait. A pair of brilliant bursts illuminated the darkened shapes of the two Decepticon fighters and moments later the cloud was choked gray and black as two simulated casualties fell towards the deck, their bodies shredded and burning wrecks.

"Oh sure, we can show them that we can fly... that would be really effective. Or Mister Prowl Junior, we can show those tow that we can fight and rack up the score." His communications link carried a sarcastic and rather superior expression over the wire as he leveled off before entering into a tight spiral. He toggled his weapons to the secondary Vulcan machine guns bedded in his nosecone. Pushing his afterburner to maximum, Slingshot dove straight into another flight of Decepticon Tetra Jet fighters.

He fired his forward cannons in short bursts to break up the five fighters, forcing two of them straight into Sky Dive's gun sights. He leveled off and pitched left after the lead two that had attempted to scatter. Weapons switched again back to his mortars, this time loaded with proximity shells. "Try to keep the score at a positive Diver, I'll rack up the kills." He fired at the lead edge of the wedge, deliberately missing on either side of the formation to hem them in to his kill sights.

His sensors registered a pair of fighters coming from his 9, their guns hot and just waiting for optimal range. Not wanting to leave points on the floor, Slingshot decided it was better to break and avoid the blind side. He cut his engines and spun into a quarter screw S half turn, bringing his guns to bear against the oncoming threats. Slingshot launched a trio of shells to create a billow of expanding incendiary chemicals and metal fragments that were designed to choke enemy engines and make life rather unpleasant for fighter planes. "You'd think they never heard of Tactics before... 'eh Sky Dive?"

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Science Laboratory

Ironfist stepped out and into one of the supply closets located in the far starboard corner of the laboratory near the hyper spanner calibration tools, just to the right of the molecular atomizer and binder device that was a work in perpetual. He pulled aside a large wire frame shelving structure and pushed it to the opposite side of the closet, careful not to tip the sensitive contents onto the floor.

The heap of metallic scraps and rods that rested on the floor next to the workbench behind him shifted briefly, possibly due to Blaster's interference... the Weapons Engineer did not know or see. The basic blue prints he had initially established had already shown serious flaws in the application and construction to the model. For one, to create the body first before the necessary circuitry was determined did little for the final project. All he had really established with his initial design was the scaled size constraints and limitations they would be confined to.

At present however, Ironfist was more concerned with a basic visual of what the ultimate model could possibly develop into. In that regard the engineer sifted his way passed a pair of over turned electron diode strobes. Carefully he tugged a box of spare parts off of a large cylinder leaning against the furthest corner of the closet. Its body was dented and charred, showing evidence of a long and turbulent existence. Panels had been pried off, or in the case of the primary engine seal, showed evidence of plasma burns from the exterior sources of war.

"There it is." He quipped briefly as he knelt down next to the Short Range Solar Probe. Placing a sensor laced hand on the titanium skin of the device he began to chart several sub surface circuit connections. He could not tell much more than the faint electrical pulses that remained in the cold wires, a desire to be returned to functionality and to fulfill a purpose.

Satisfied that this retired probe, a test bed for possible new... well Ironfist imagined such additions would involve sensor packages, not necessarily his specialty, would serve as a necessary platform for the new vortex generator. The engineer pulled the cylinder out of the closet and closed the orange door with an audible magnetic locking sound that soon followed.

Dragging the probe over to the work bench he hefted onto the table and laid it down carefully. "Probe Mark II. Old design, but I just thought it may be the perfect test bed for our modifications." He spoke to Blaster briefly as he spun the hyper wrench in his fingers. He spun it around again and a third time, eventually he lost control of the device and sent it spiraling end over end straight towards an elevated monitor near Blaster's head.

It clanked off the activation module before landing on the broad shoulder of the communications officer. Ironfist could not help but chuckle briefly and offer an apology for nearly decapitating his engineering partner. As the chuckle evolved into a good hearted laugh as the final song of Blaster's came to an end, the monitor finished its communications link cycle. A raised series human voices soon erupted through to connection, the visual spun briefly before it too stabilized into a colorful rendition of reality.

"Dynotherms Connected. Interlocks are Go...!" The strange looking split image of humans in five different colored uniforms screamed out as if their heads were set to full decibels.

Ironfist could not pry his optics away from the strange sequence of events. Five robotic lion like vehicles began to deform. Their shapes began to mold into limbs, while the black feline broke its own joints to take the shape of some sort of... Well Ironfist could not exactly tell at that moment what was happening. Then as the technical sequence continued, the four smaller cat like robots combined with the larger black lion, turning it into a torso and head.

Once all the flare and flames were extinguished, the five individual machines had disappeared. Replaced by a large robotic figure with characteristics of each of the individual components prominent in each extremity. The security filters finally reactivated and deactivated the monitor, sealing away the image that the engineer had just witnessed. He did not know if Blaster had seen it, doubted the communications expert had... to be honest with himself he was rather astonished to the point of almost not believing his own optical sensors. He had no idea humans possessed that level of technology.

Leaving Blaster to get to work on the removal of damaged panels from the probe, the weapons engineer stepped over to the communications monitor where he had witnessed the combination sequence. "If humans can do that with... primitive machines..." His optics narrowed as he keyed in the dimensions of what he had saw. His slow plods across the holographic keyboard soon turned into a mad sweep of stabs and toggles as he attempted to enter every thing. "... then maybe it can be done," his last sentence fell silent. It was audacious, and broke most ethical standards put in place since the reign of Nexus Prime. Quickly he encoded the data and triple encrypted it through security cyphers he had not yet given to high command. Project Five to One, he would devise a better title later, would need further research. He would need more of those human training and propaganda sequences in order to reserve engineer that technology and perhaps make it possible for Cybertronian applications.

Smokescreen’s job was to divert the enemy’s attention from his comrades’ true objectives on the battlefield. Given his unethical history in a number of areas, this made the rallybot perfect for the role of diversionary tactician. He was so good at his job that his skills were commonly used off the battlefield, as well, sometimes without him even realizing he was doing so. The situation with Mirage, Tracer and her pet, Razr, was one such time where his diversion abilities came into play almost like a reflex action. In this case, he didn’t want Mirage to see the turbofox as potential quarry nor did Smokey want the troubled femme to find out that the spy used to hunt and kill turbo-foxes for sport.

Of course, Tracer saw right through what the red and blue mech was trying to do and became concerned, quickly making up an excuse to Mirage as to why they had to suddenly leave. It was a vague reason as the Autobot femme mouthed the words “we have to go” in Smokescreen’s direction. The diversion expert took the hint and glanced back over at the spy. “Ah, yes, we’ve got an important meeting to attend and we don’t want to be late,” Smokey interjected as Tracer gently pulled him up and out of his chair. Once the scout bid the blue and white mech farewell, the rallybot did the same. “Good seeing you again, Mirage. Hope to catch up with you later on, okay?”

Corridor

Before he even knew it, Smokescreen was whisked out of the mess hall by the worried femme and into the corridor beyond. Once they were both far enough away and around a corner, Tracer pushed his back up against a nearby wall and demanded to know what was going on. The rallybot hesitated for a moment, trying to come up with a believable lie that she would accept. Unfortunately, the trouble femme was also correct in the fact that she did know all of his diversionary tactics and therefore would likely see through any further attempts to deceive her.

“Okay, Tracer! Okay!” Smokescreen exclaimed in a whispered tone so that no one passing by would pick up their conversation. He looked directly into her optics so that she knew he was being honest with her and not trying to avoid an already difficult subject. “Before the war, Mirage was an affluent member of Cybertronian society. He was one of those mechs who had everything while so many others had nothing. He used to own a large estate where he would often partake in...” Smokey paused for a moment, letting out a deep sigh as he glanced down to the floor. “...turbofox hunts with his equally rich friends.”

The diversion expert then quickly raised his optics back up to Tracer’s visage, hoping that she would not freak out at the revelation. “Of course, that all ended once the war began. This conflict has changed a lot of mechs over the vorns, some more than others, but I really wouldn’t worry about Mirage. He hasn’t hunted turbo-foxes in a very long time, so I doubt he’ll do anything to Razr, especially knowing that he’s your pet and not some wild animal running loose on the ship.”

Smokescreen then placed a reassuring hand on Tracer’s cheek, caressing it gently as a broad smile spread across his faceplate. “Everything will be fine. I won’t let anything happen to either you or Razr. I promise.”

Ultra Magnus stepped into the turbo lift leading to the primary island where the command bridge was situated. He hesitated briefly on giving the destination command as he took in the busy and choreographed movements of artillery officers as they moved simulation circuits from storage compartments at the end of this particular level's halls and brought them forward for installation into the weapon batteries. Combat drills were due to begin soon and rather than wasting actual shells, the simulated fire systems would register all of the effects and simulated inventory drain during the drill. Magnus could only hope that such a training system, devised eons ago during the first stages of the war and modified as time wore on, would be enough to keep their skills honed during times of quiet and uncertainty.

This period of quiet, Magnus knew, was only temporary. They were always temporary. As soon as the Decepticons settled their own differences they would once again become a thorn in their proverbial sides.

"Bridge," He finally ordered the lift computer and stepped back as the door rotated closed. Resting his hands at his sides, the fleet commander watched the bars of light as they slipped past a clear transparent aluminum panel to give the indication of levels and assent. As they slowed, Ultra Magnus pulled himself out of a subconscious reverie of a time when he and Optimus had first commissioned the ancient Autobot Battle Cruiser Democracy. The car came to a stop as his optics returned to a full burning blue.

Ultra Magnus stepped out into the bridge and returned a brief salute to the sensor officer to his left hand side. He turned his gaze then to Kup and Axel as he pivoted right towards the lower well and the doors leading to the observation lounge. "Shall we gentlemen."

Air Raid had gone in to more of a lengthy explanation of his comment than Fireflight had ever expected to get, especially when they were in the midst of fighting a pack of Seekers. Well, sort of.

"That's....yeah, okay. Kinda makes sense, I guess," as he arced upward. One of the Seekers had broken off after him. It was not only gaining speed on him, but matching every move he did or better.

"Primus these things cheat," Fireflight grumbled. "On my six! Can't get him off!"

Air Raid pulled the trigger at the decepticon who shot him earlier. From his torque rifle a red beam-like projectile was released, it moved unstably towards the seeker. When it hit the metal of the bot it exploded wildly and burned all of his outer armor, forcing him to go to robot mode. The aerialbot hovered to a closer distance from the seeker before shooting him again. The seeker blazed into flames and fell from the sky deep into the depths of Kaon. Air Raid transformed into jet mode again. 3 done, 2 to go.

The autobot heard his partner requesting for help. A seeker was flying behind Fireflight and was preparing to shoot him. "I'm coming for ya Flighty!" shouted Air Raid. His turbo rockets powered up as he flew towards The seeker flanking Fireflight. Air Raid's missiles powered up while the aerialbot got closer and closer to his enemy. "Watch out Fireflight! this one is gonna explode!" screamed Air Raid, warning his partner about the missile he is about to shoot.

Air Raid went to a sudden stop and aimed the jet's nose towards the seeker. He was about to "pull the trigger" and fire the missile but then something hard struck his left in high-speed. He was knocked by whatever what hit him causing him to do 'barrel rolls' as he was pushed away by that hit. It was a seeker that hit him, the other seeker, one of the two left. The decepticon charged towards Air Raid seeking to finish him off and destroy the autobot.

(OOC: Em, I hope it's okay that I assume Axle went to the science station.)

Bridge

Bluestreak was pleased that Kup seemed to believe what he and Axle were telling him regarding the Fallen and those Autobots and Decepticons that were under his spell. It was a lot to absorb, but the old timer was taking it all in stride. However, the veteran soldier was in no rush to head on down to the surface without gathering more information first as the ancient Cybertronian writings found on Hex’s wall could simply lead them all into a trap. Therefore, Kup ordered Axle to commence with a simple scan of the region so that they would be adequately prepared or as prepared as any or them could be in a situation such as this.

As for joining forces with the Decepticons, Kup wasn’t too keen on the idea, either, and Bluestreak couldn’t blame him. There was so much animosity between the two factions, working together seemed like an impossibility. Although, considering what had already transpired with the Fallen, things that once seemed improbable now appeared more than likely to transpire. After all, there was already a truce in place with Onslaught, so who knows what that could ultimately lead to in the near future.

While Axle headed for the science station, Bluestreak approached the old timer, flashing him a wide smile while waiting for him to finish contacting Ultra Magnus. Once the warhorse cut his comm line, the chatterbot opened his mouth. “I couldn’t agree with you more regarding the ‘Cons, Kup. The mere thought of working with them makes my armor plating crawl right off my frame. There are no ideal circumstances as far as I’m concerned, but then again I’m biased. Still, we’re going to need all of the help we can get if we’re going to stand a chance against a fiery demi-god or even Unicron, himself. Hopefully, this isn’t the end of days for us all. It would be rather ironic if our war ended not with one side winning but with both loosing. It would kind of make all of the sacrifices we’ve made over the countless vorns a mute point. I just hope that if it comes right down to it, both factions can find enough common ground to join forces and defeat a common enemy without the 'Cons turning on us in the process.”

Bluestreak would’ve kept chatting off Kup’s audio receptors had it not been for the arrival of Ultra Magnus on the bridge. The Autobot gunner immediately turned around to face the Sector Commander and gave his new leader a respectful salute. “Commander Magnus, it’s very good to see you again, sir! I’ve heard that you are now in charge of this sector. If that’s true then congratulations on your promotion! I couldn’t think of a better mech for the job!” The black and silver chatterbot then lowered his arm and took a single step towards Ultra Magnus. “Sir, if it’s okay with you, I would like to join the meeting in the observation lounge since I’ve been helping Axle with the gathering of information. I promise not to....” Bluestreak paused for a moment, allowing a sheepish expression to cross his faceplate. “....talk too much, heh. Sir!”

Ultra Magnus paused on the threshold of the observation lounge entrance. His attention divided into multiple diversions as he activated the two security locks on the side of the lounge doors. Quietly he waited until the security checks were completed and the scans were finished, his mind still dancing around the various tasks he needed to take on before their limited time expired.

The security checks proceeded smoothly as the codes were accepted without hesitation. However, added protocols installed by Red Alert required a secure scan of the chamber in case the likes of Ratbat, Buzzsaw or Laserbeak had some how managed to find a way onboard. Thus as the scans commenced with a flashing red light on the security terminal, Magnus stepped down into the science wells where Kup, Bluestreak and Axle were currently inhabiting.

He offered a hand to Bluestreak and placed a firm palm onto the former merchant's shoulder. "It is good to see you too Bluestreak." He shook the mecha's hand with a stern and stoic expression, as one he often wore.

Once he released his grip he gave a brief nod. "I appreciate that. It is still a heavy transition but I am confident that with the proper guidance from Kup and the others, I will be able to fulfill the requirements of this office."

The security panel flashed gold and green indicating that the scans were completed and came back clean. "If you feel you have something to add to these proceeding Bluestreak, then I welcome your perspective. As Optimus has done I will attempt to replicate, hearing of different points of view."

As he gave a quick nod to the trio of Autobots, Ultra Magnus reminded himself that he needed to begin the requested acquisition program to help expedite Ironfist's construction. Small pieces and scraps across the planet would be necessary not just raw forms as he had initially expected. Too much refinement would be required and giving the power reserves were already stretched until they landed, they could ill afford to simply spend their time crafting everything from scratch. He pivoted back towards the observation lounge.

A channel was opened to Arcee, the female warrior who had the uncanny ability to adapt the environment that surrounded her. An invaluable ability for a procurement assignment on an alien world. "Magnus to Arcee. I need you to report to the Science Laboratory on the Ark 22. You are to speak with Ironfist about your next assignment... Bring Dragonov, Steeljaw and Mirage if possible." He waited a response and simultaneously transmitted a response to Blaster and Ironfist, reflecting the change in restrictions that he was willing to agree to. Once the link was severed, Ultra Magnus returned to the briefing that was about to come, he expected Kup's report would be most enlightening.

Skydive tried to keep up with both groups to see how they were doing. It seemed Air Raid and Fireflight were doing well especially Fireflight considering how likelihood he is to wander off sight seeing. Slingshot tried to hold his own but by the looks of it is another group of Seekers might get the best of him. All of this reminded him why they are a team first and foremost including their currently missing leader, Silverbolt.

"Hey Slingshot, make sure you don't be like Air Raid and shoot at more then you can take down."

Skydive came at the two Seekers who almost out flanked Slingshot and launched a pair of carefully aimed missiles. They hit them just right to have both spiraled down and smashed into each other to form a fireball. He then was able to lock onto one of the five targets and hit his afterburners. Once he was able to get in range, he launched a couple of missiles at it taking it down.

"Remember, Slingshot, the Seekers are the flying pests while the buildings are the real targets. The ultimate goal is to stay functioning, of course."

"Thanks Raidy!" Fireflight called out, barrel-rolling left and lowering his altitude slightly as he banked back around smoothly, attempting to regain his sense of his surroundings and what was going to attack them next.

The Seekers had not abandoned their pursuit, but their focus had apparently shifted from him to Air Raid. One good turn deserved another of course. Banking back around, Fireflight locked his weapons into position and began to fire at the Seeker that was hot on the contrails of his fellow Aerialbot.

Fireflight had kept clear of Air Raid's missile as he had been warned to do. It had lost him his primo targeting position, though, so now he attempted to get it back and let loose another volley of clean shots.

It was definitely easier to stay focused in a sim than it was in real life. Fireflight wasn't exactly sure why.

Slingshot banked heavily north before leveling off. His sensors painted two more tetrajets as they circled over a pair of anti aircraft walkers, bristling with turbo cannons designed to take out attacks from the air. Decepticons, at least from former experiences, were not the most adapt at devising defensive strategies against transformable Air Forms such as those held by the Aerialbot squadron. For reasons that were fairly obvious, most Autobots did not fly. In fact there were only a couple of dozen squadrons within the Autobot ranks that had that ability. Thus the weapons employed by con defenders were typically designed to repel larger fighter craft.

"Yeah yeah," Slingshot brushed off the advice of the strategist of the team as he continued to track the various firing arcs of the walker's weaponry. He was already irritated that Skydive had managed to take out two of his targets, although realistically he did not have a clear shot on them anyways. But that was not the point, it just simply meant a lower personal score. "I suppose you want me to clear the ground targets out before you get that precious paint job of yours burned off."

The ground support master entered into a tight spiraled barrel roll and snapped into a steep angle towards the deck. He switched his internal shells from the traditional chemical flak warheads he had employed earlier to a more compact and potent Thermal Incendiary compound that tended to have a most violent reaction to various forms of metals that Decepticons were fond of employing in their constructions. A steady stream of quad laser bolts exploded from the walker tower towards Skydive, Fireflight, Air Raid and himself. This flood of artillery forced Slingshot to pull up from his dive and enter into a side ways snap full S turn before resuming a tight barrel. He dove at an even steeper angle as his sensors finally painted a leg joint that had been exposed by careful maneuvering.

"This counts as two," he bellowed over the comm channel as his targeting computer confirmed the appropriate solution. He neared the walker, its guns having a hard time tracking his own erratic and low angle of approach. The shells were confirmed in his inventory and loaded into his forward mortars. "Eat Thermite Deceptiscrap." He fired two shells and threaded through the tripod's legs as they impacted against one of the exposed knees.

As the tripod began to tumble towards the ground, Slingshot needled through a pair of burned out skyscrapers. He fired two more of his Thermite shells into the sides of these buildings, destroying a handful of Decepticons that had used the stationed themselves to add to the defense of the city by providing further firepower against the attacking aircraft.

The canyon was engulfed in flame as the tripod walker exploded upon impact with the ground, Slingshot was forced to pull out of his strafing run. As he did so he flew straight between Air Raid and Fireflight, narrowly avoiding clipping the former. He leveled out his ascent and five rather irate tetra jets fell onto his tail, their weapons screaming for vengeance.

Bridge – Observation Lounge 1

There it was. He had spewed every little detail he had come across and was put on hold. A low growl rumbled up from deep within the field medic’s throat. The black and green medic turned and made his way to one of the free science stations where he began his scanning. No reason to delay. No reason to argue. Get to work, get the others back. Didn’t mean he had to like the order.

Of course the old warhorse knew what he was talking about. After all Kup hadn’t made it this far in existence by not being thorough. Well, thorough enough for Kup that is.

Axle let his shoulders slump and gave in to the Commander’s logical reasoning.

The station’s alert beeped lowly indicating its completion. It then began to display the results. “Hmm. That’s odd.” He murmured. Unsure of what to make of the findings Axle decided to bring it up once Magnus arrived.

The former doctor moved from the station and waited with the others for Ultra Magnus to arrive.

The wait was over before Axle had time to realize the towering mass that was Magnus had already arrived. Axle let his head drop back slightly so he could take in the taller mech’s entire features. The ‘Bot was truly impressive. Just as Prime was. His head lowered at that thought.

"Shall we gentlemen."

Axle looked back up and into Magnus’ optics. He nodded lightly and quietly moved toward the Observation Lounge. Kup would surely follow and possibly Bluestreak as well. After all, the gunner was pivotal in helping Axle find out just what was going on.

“Don’t you slaggers start that damned meeting without me!” The gruff voice of the Autobot CMO carried throughout the entire bridge causing several confused and startled crew members to jump and turn. In response Ratchet sent each one a dangerous glare. It was more than enough to curb their curiosity and send them back to their duties.

Ratchet then moved his gaze from the stations before him and over to the massive white, blue and red mech standing beside a smaller green mech. The corner of his lip components curled up ever so slightly at the sight of Kup. The old mech’s presence was a welcome relief from all of the younger bots stationed on this frigate.

The CMO stalked the remaining feet to the others and stopped crossing his arms over his chestplate. “Magnus. Kup.” He nodded to both Commanding officers before he took a quick look over his shoulder at Bluestreak. Ratchet said nothing to or of the gunner.

Optics still over his shoulder Ratchet narrowed his optics as he spotted a paintjob that he recognized quite well. “What the…” The red and white bot turned on his heel and shoved past Bluestreak making his way to the Observation Lounge just before the mystery mech slipped inside. As if he’d have gotten away that easily.

Ratchet grabbed and yanked on the mech’s arm hard pulling him back and turning him around. “Axle!”

The field medic cringed and lowered his head trying desperately to look as small and nonthreatening as possible. That’s what you’re supposed to do when faced with a vicious predator….well, that’s what he had heard anyway. In all reality, if Ratchet was going to kill you, you could look as nonthreatening as you liked, you were still dead. So were the laws or Ratchet.

“What in the name of Cybertron are you doing here?! And I’m warning you, don’t you dare tell me this has something to do with that piece of slag ward of yours!”

Axle lowered his head in defeat but raised it back up. “Ratchet…sir. I know you don’t wanna hear this but I have reason to believe Hex, Hardhead and Hot Rod are being used. They’re not doing thi…”

Ratchet quickly raised his hand to stop his subordinate in midsentence. “Stifle it, Axle.” He sent a heated glare directly into the medic’s optics. “This is the same kind of slag we went through when I had to pull rank and...” A heavy sigh and Ratchet brought one hand up and squeezed the bridge of his olfactory ridge. “I lost you as a surgeon. Don’t make me lose you as a medic.” Ratchet’s voice was low but the words still stung like an energo dagger through the spark.

“Yes sir. But Commander Magnus wants to hear what I have to say. Please let me do that. It’s important.” Bright sapphire optics met Ratchet’s light blue. The CMO’s face scrunched up and was followed up by a low grunt. “All right. But this is it Axle. I’ve had it with you and your insane little ward.”

Without waiting for an acknowledgement from his subordinate Ratchet looked to the others. “We gonna get this going or what? I’ve got patients to attend to and you got ‘Bots to lock up!”

Thanks to Fireflight, one decepticon has been blown up, ending his miserable simulated life. Now, only one seeker was left to deal with. Air Raid started to recover from his recent hit from the last surviving seeker, but he found himself dizzy and unfocused after being hit.

"You could deal with the last one!" said Air Raid as he transformed into robot mode. He was quite unwilling to destroy the last seeker left, he decided to leave Fireflight destroy him, he is in a much "healthier" state right now.

The remaining decepticon, seeing that the last of his team has been unmade and that he is only one the left, charged at Fireflight. He shot a series of missiles at the bot seeking to kill him before he dies.
