Battledamaged Cliffjumper

Postby Pun-3X » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:16 am

The story here is, I picked one of these Cliffjumpers up at the last Botcon. He was kinda busted up, tires in the front all cracked, and a piece of the inner foot hinge was missing so the foot comes off. Also, it was the yellow one, and the original owner had decided to paint him purple. (Actually did a pretty good job)

I ended up getting the keychain version eventually. Anyway, lately I've been working on some panels to a webcomic, and there's a scene where Cliffy gets busted up pretty bad. I was going to photoshop most of the damage when I remembered this guy. So I went at him.

You can see some of the yellow from underneath. Some of the 'ashmarks' I sprayed on get a little spotted on the edges, but otherwise it came out nice. Tell me what you think.

Looks..eh..convincing.
Very Thunderbirds like.:D

Reminds me of kids playing out battles only to find out LATER ON that they're regretting "adding" SFX. ;)

Motto: "Do not consider the wars of the future, instead consider a future without war."
Weapon: Twin Shock-Concussion Missiles
I remember that. The guy was selling a reissue Prowl that he took pictures of while it was on fire. The description read something like: Very little remains of actual figure. Some metal bits, melted plastic.

I remember being horrified because I didn't have my Prowl yet and here was someone destroying one just for fun. Looking back now I think it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Man, too sad for Cliffjumper. Awesome work on him though Bun Bun, the detailing is beautiful in its destructiveness!

as a kid i did that to soundwave, twintwist and tailgate. With twintwist its even more convincing because he really has gears inside him. i added "shelack" a kind of brown laquer (made from beatle wings) to the wounds. It looks like oil coming out.
