Beelzeboss Heroic Duo question

Hey guys, I just purchased the Heroic Duo set from Beelzeboss and I just wanted to make sure of something from other people that might have the set. After applying Red Alert's new (and frakking awesome) head, I noticed it is QUITE loose as opposed to how his original head is. The screw is as tight as it goes on the head and I didn't want to force the ball into his head socket for fear of breaking it so I just wanted to see if anyone else's ended up like this too. Thanks a bunch guys!

I dont have the set but I had a similar problem with Renderforms Red Alert set. Sometimes you can make the head tighter by getting a longer screw because the short one isnt catching and grabbing to hold tight. always a good idea to visit flea markets or thrift shops and pick up a few junkers just for the screws.

Ill try it, I'm just not sure I'll be able to find one with THAT small a screw in a longer length. It seems more like the head is SUPPOSED to go on the ball socket, but wont fit. I remember when I got the Kup upgrade it snapped in perfectly, so I figured this in theory would work the same, but it just doesn't want to go in.

Thats why I recommend you buy a few junkers. Hasbro uses sometimes up to 3 different sizes of screws. Ive used screws from G1, Energon, and Cybertron junker figures to make these head kits tighter on several occasions. Your other option would be to put a few coats of clear nail polish on the ball joint to make it bigger so it holds tight.

Hi AutobotMR2,

Myself and a few other Seibertronians have picked up this awesome set but no issues have been mentioned on the thread as far as I know?

http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=215&t=89866&hilit=heroic+duo

I have installed the new head without fault. It was a little bit of a fiddle to click it together but nothing serious?
Maybe pop it apart and check for any loose bits of plastic here and there; Does the new head click together ok on the ball joint before you pop the screw in?
Perhaps the screw isnt quite aligned quite the way it should be?
Ooh! maybe also check YouTube reviews for any noted problems!

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=beelzeboss+heroic+duo&oq=beelzeboss+heroic+duo&gs_l=youtube.3..0.8358.11654.0.12100.2.2.0.0.0.0.62.107.2.2.0...0.0...1ac.1.vh2i98I7gk0

If all else fails, give the the ball joint a quick coat of nail polish or superglue to increase its size which may then 'grip' the new head ok! ;)

This is an awesome set from Beelzeboss and I do hope they carry on making awesome yet affordable set like this!

Thanks guys. I'm gonna try and work on him again tomorrow, I already have to put some clear nail polish on the c-joint clip for sideswipe's launcher so I will try one more time to fit RA's head on before I start adding to the ball joint. robotmel, there is no click when I attach the head like with the iGear Kup upgrade, that's why Ive been so concerned, that upgrade was a piece of cake and took 5 minutes....this has been a little more difficult for me for whatever reason. I just hope I can get this fixed without messing up either the figure, the add-on, or God forbid BOTH.

Well, still no progress getting the Red Alert head to work. After looking at him it doesn't seem that the ball joint is too small, but that his head isn't clicking into the ball. Ive tried applying some pressure to force the half of his head with the socket onto the ball, but it still won't go. I'm afraid to put too much force into it for fear of either A. breaking the ball, B. breaking the mechanism that makes his head rise, or C. damaging this wonderful new head. If anyone has a video showing how to apply this head I would greatly appreciate it. All of the review videos on youtube either already have the head applied or don't show in any detail how to apply it, nor do they mention any problems with this set. Also before I forget this is the version 2 of this set with color molded plastic instead of painted parts.

perhaps applying some fine-grain sand paper around the socket to widen it ever so slightly?

I believe mine was lose too. I just left it alone. Didn't think it was an issue.I have the first release. i would think clear nail polish would fix this?

The second run was done almost entirely in molded plastic. The guns were molded in their respective colors, same with the pads and shoulder cannons. RA's face was still painted if I'm not mistaken. Those are the only ways to know off hand, they also said they made the shoulder cannon clips more durable...but I will call shenanigans on that since mine were already stretched out when I opened the box. THAT I can fix with some clear nail polish.

the original version is painted. the second version is cast in red plastic so its easy to tell when you take a closer look. the original version was from the first preorder and once those sold out another preorder went up for the second version which i believe is still available almost everywhere.

Wow, never knew!
I appear to have the red molded Red Alert head, doesnt seem to be painted apart from his face in silver?
I would assume (not seeing the painted red version) that the second red plastic run may be the better looking version so as to match the red plastic of Red alerts neck and shoulders, as mine appear to be?
I own the Classics versions of both Red Alert and Sideswipe, so I cant reference the Henkei versions? :-?

Mine look super duper awesome in molded red plastic and the shoulder rocket launcher is perfect with no stress marks despite popping it on and off once or twice!
Same goes for Sideswipes shoulder launcher.
Both guns are molded in respective coloured plastics and match extremely well without fault.

In fact I would have to say this set overall has been one of the best 3rd party add-ons I have ever bought to date!

Seems I have the same set as Robot Mel and I too have no issues with the head. Can you take a picture of the issue? I popped the head on with little force required and it fits reasonably snug.

AMR2, do you have the painted version or the molded plastic version; If its the painted one, could this be where the problem lies/lays? [I am Grammartron!] ;)
