I'd bet cash money that Overlord's mold will be Thunderwing/Black Shadow's with a retool on the drone to give it a tank appearance. No other mold seems feasible and in the Last Stand of The Wreckers mini, it was revealed that Twing, BShadow and Overlord are Megatron's three generals. Since the first two share a mold, this clinches it for me.

Botcon tweeted earlier this month that there is no Animated this year and no AEC figures either.

TFCC at botcon 2010 said they'd be no animated themed toys for botcon's 2011 & 2011 club toys. then in 2011 we get a Animated themed set for botcon's convention & for 2011 club toys.

I honestly think the animated blitzwing toy would be a decent Overlord. as it's a tripple changer with 2 alt modes. a jet & a tank.

I just don't see any other previous TF toys released within a 4 year span that would make a decent Overlord botcon toy.

That was Sixshot who worked for Megs with Overlord and Black Shadow, not Thunderwing.

My guess on the classics is thus.

Overlord is Classics or as sabrwing points out 'universe' Galvatron with a remolded head and possibly chest. I state that for two reasons. One, Overlord had two vehicle modes. One of them was a tank. Now you are thinking, well he had a jet too so obviously Thunderwing... not so fast. Another thing about Overlord was his huge 'plane cannon' he had. I fondly remember the Masterforce opening where he shoots Ginrai with it. Given he has such a huge cannon and the fact he is a Decepticon leader all fingers point to Galvatron over all others... then again I could be wrong.

Metalhawk could be Thunderwing (to keep with the Pretender theme) or Cyclonus. Either way, I am looking forward to these dudes though I will probably never own them.

Cyclonus would be perfect for Metalhawk, but why is everyone only thinking of Deluxes for Overlord? The guy is a giant!

They've used figures as large as Ultras in the past. What's stopping them this time? Come on, people, think bigger for this titan of a Con.

Because 98% of all con exclusives are deluxes. Sides, Galvatron was SUPPOSED to be a voyager... so that kind of counts. Also, you are just mad that Galvatron never came to your guy's minds! :P

Also Metalhawk has to have a remolded face. That face screams Cyclonus. With Thunderwing, there is a bit more head freedom.

That Galvatron toy is very lackluster. It would do serious injustice to the awesomeness that is the mighty Overlord.

I might be the only person who actually likes Galvatron. He is a great figure imo that oozes with character though he does have some flaws I think lackluster is not the word for it.

Well I say face because remember Cylonus's 'ears' are required to fill in gaps in the fuselage. Cyclonus is pretty much locked into being Cyclonus.

Interesting, make the head ears into turrets. I am impressed. You still did not disprove me in terms of 'This can be Metalhawk' as I already said he was a possibility. That said, I can see how they can work that into the core figure also some slight remoldings/alternative transformation can really help pull it off and make him more distinct from Cyclonus... which I fear he is not going to be.

I'm all for Cyclonus being redecoed w/ a remolded head in Metalhawk. He seems the closest fit for the guy. :D

Though, it's still yet to top the 20 uses of the Classics Seeker mold. ;)

It's still pretty surprising how much it's been used since it's a Universe mold from '09, only the Sunstreaker mold surpasses it.

But yeah, get rid of the head and I see Metalhawk. It's just I only see Cyclonus and Cyclonus only when it's using that head sculpt (And Hasbro execs seem to agree, as we all know only 1 reiteration of the mold was called not Cyclonus)

Haven't read all ten pages of response, but I'm gonna go with Universe Cyclonus for Metalhawk and Universe Silverbolt for Overlord. Silverbolt could work, he's big, his alt mode is similar to Overlord's jet component, he has chest flaps, and like Overlord he has the forward section of a jet hanging off his body, Silverbolt just carries his on his back rather than his arm. Slap the colors on there and a new head and it could work. The rest of the set I'm not that excited about.

To the guys who are hoping for a black SG Tracks: I share your hope, but on second thought it would be a bit unlikely, because Runabout, who uses the retooled Wheeljack mold, is also black.

If he's a former Seeker, he should be black with another color mixed in. Blurr had blue, Goldbug had yellow, Rodimus had purple. Maybe Tracks has red? Shoot, that would make him look even more like Runabout...
