Is...is Hasbro really serious about FOC Bruticus' colors or are they just trying to punk the fandom?

ewwww. I did say I'd buy FOC Bruticus whatever colours we got, but seeing the individual bots and the combined form...Hasbro is making it difficult for me to keep that promise. Maybe they want it to shelfwarm so people will stop asking for them to make gestalts?

Jazz looks okay, with his blue head. Boximus Prime still terrible, but damn, Shockwave is pretty awesome!

FOC Bruticus looks OK to me, though I'm still thinking the same thing I've been thinking since I first saw them. Many of them look like retools of WFC figures.

In particular, Brawl in vehicle mode looks a lot like WFC Megatron and Swindle looks a lot like WFC Soundwave.

I'm still getting them in whatever color schemes they get released in, but this 'G2' looking set is definitely for the kiddy crowd, so I expect Takara to do a more 'serious' looking set that everyone will be clamouring for.

Now, for TF Prime, why did they give Bumblebee a Leader/Weaponizer whatever class and not Megatron!? Why do they keep doing this!? No one wants big ass Bumblebees, we want Optimus and Megatron! If you're going to make a leader sized Optimus, why not make a Megatron that size as well? It makes no sense.

those bruticus colors are atrocious.

i'm actually starting to warm up to the new fall of cybertron prime. i think he's going to be one of those figures who looks nicer in person.

shockwave, as usual, looks absolutely beautiful. he's got every feature that i loved about the original G1 shockwave.. plus a truly kick ass looking alt mode.

jazz.. he looks good, not great. he could REALLY REALLY REALLY use some red in his design and i wish the blue were darker, and i wish his headlights were painted red. oh well though, i can fix most of that stuff.

i'm interested to see if anything is actually revealed tomorrow.

hasbro loves things that make no sense.

i bet a lot more people would pick up the leader prime if megatron had a leader version as well.. most people don't want their primes towering over megatron in their collections. so i doubt they're going to sell as well as they would have if there was a megatron to go along with it.

Wait. Is this the entire Hasbro display? No new figures that we didn't know about on display? Or is that a different event?

Where's Voyager Breakdown, Dreadwing, and Skyquake? Or Deluxe Jet Vehicon?

Oh, ok. I just seem to recall that we usually get shown a few completely new figures every year.

And how pissed/overjoyed would everyone be if they released color accurate Combaticons, but they only came with a $100/$150 Collector's Edition of Fall of Cybertron? 8-}

Things are looking good. I need to make sure I got the money and the room. It's been a while since I've planned to buy so many transformers.

there's a sign that says that more stuff should be on display tomorrow.. but i doubt they'll show anything that we don't already know of.. so they should be showing us voyager breakdown and dreadwing.. and deluxe arachnid, the jet vehicon, and deluxe ironhide.

but who knows.. maybe we'll see something totally new.. and maybe we won't even see all of the stuff that we do know of and have seen before. you can never tell.

i'm pretty sure they'll save the best stuff for SDCC.

well the $15 price point just made me stop caring about the FOC figures, they are no way in hell worth $15 each. Out of all the "classics" figures we've gotten over the years these are the most lackluster. They look cool and look better than TFPrime & DOTM but compared to what we got in generations, universe & classics these are the worst. So far seems like the lamest botcon ever, well news wise anyway.

I usually refrain from such language but...

These are the biggest pieces of **** I have ever laid eyes on.
WFC Bruticus has had the last shred of goodness taken from him in the form of his crappy color scheme, and all of the others (with the exception of Shockwave) are just as bad as they looked at Toyfair.

PRID is all of the same old suckish stuff that we've seen before.

Bad job, Hasbro, bad job.

Yep, they've officially lost me on the FoC Combaticons. I think they're vile.

Man the Combaticons look awful! Wave one looks pretty good to me, but I have a feeling Takara is gonna pull one of those "look how much BETTER we did it" kinda things.

We'll see some new stuff tomorrow in the cases, and we'll get new info and a no-pictures allowed preview of the next few waves of Generations combiners and Prime stuff. Here's hoping for some more Thirteen.

On the bright side though, the chick in the Road Kill T-shirts adds has a fantastic rack and that more then makes up for ugly Combaticons.

I'm almost 100% certain that Bruticus sample is the exact same one used at Toy Fair earlier this year.

I looked at some high res photos, earlier tonight, and if you look closely, you can see where the day-glo paint is chipping off of the figures. All of them have it happening. What we're seeing is not the final product. That doesn't mean the colors will change, it just means that what's on display isn't production quality or production ready.

Plus, if you look at Brut's left hand, it's scrawny and thin. If you look at his right hand, it's all fat and weird. I think it's a work in progress and they haven't settled on it's final status, just yet.

Blurrz is correct. There's a tag on display that says something along the lines of "Come back to the display after tomorrow's panel". That's not the exact wording, but close.

Kids want him. You know ... the ones these things are created for?

Time people really accepted that. It would save them a lot of heart ache and bandwidth.

FOC Bruticus ... yeah, combiner fail again. Why are they having so much trouble getting combiners right these days when they had such great success in the past?

And FOC Shockwave ... sweeeeeeeeeet.

I really hope those aren't the final colors for Bruticus, and I hope Hasbro tells if they are or not soon. The sculpt is pretty nice though.

As for the rest, Shockwave looks amazing, Jazz is okay but could use some black or other paint detail or something, and Prime is pretty meh. Some of the sculpt is good but we really didn't need Fatimus 2.0.

Botshots... I wish that green Brawl was available separately. I really don't want to add yet another Bumblebee to my collection just to get him... or Prime, for that matter.

Prime... wake me up when they show something new. >:oP

I'm willing to overlook the colors, I mean, I've seen and own worse. The proportions are definitely odd, but again, nothing new.

...it's those friggin' connectors that bother me. These giant flip out PCC blocks that are sitting there in plain sight for no conceivable reason. I'd think they'd go out of their way to hide them when they're so unsightly.

...buuuuut noooo.

Exactly! And really, Onslaught isn't bigger than the rest of them?

Colours can be ignored because of the massive engineering fail. What's that Hasbro? You don't like learning from the past? You just like to keep bumbling through?

Where is Counterpunch with that Hasbro dropping the ball pic, when we need him?!

Onslaught should tower over them, really. He's what? An armored...weapons platform or something? Brawl should be close in size, because he's a TANK. Vortex and Blast-Off seem to be reasonably sized, due to them being smaller vehicles, but the sizes just...ARGH!

Although, Blast-Off's cockpit windows give me the impression that he would be a rather sizable craft. Perhaps a cargo ship or a troop transport. Vortex should be the smallest, yet he matches them. All of them.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure the people there are having fun, but there isn't the fanfare there usually is. I think squashing 3rd parties out really
broke some of the fun of what should be a big party.

On to the figures. I only checked out the FOC stuff, all the other stuff is really uninteresting. I like 'em all so far. Jazz is winning in the new toy dept, for me at least. I don't even care about the colors on Bruticus, it's a kids toy first and he looks like fun. Prime has grown on me and Shockwave, well, hes' definitely the weakest of the bunch  (that last bit is sarcasm)
