With Optimus Prime and Galvatron off-line, two legendary Generals, OBSIDIAN and STRIKA, will be tasked with saving Cybertron from the invading clone army led by MEGAPLEX and his fleet of Skywarp clones. Along with noble troops such as the maintenance expert HOIST, the Autobots will need every soldier they can find if they are to save Cybertron and win the MACHINE WARS!

This amazing five-figure Transformers MACHINE WARS: TERMINATION box set features: General OBSIDIAN, General STRIKA, Clone Army Commander MEGAPLEX, Clone Warrior SKYWARP and Autobot maintenance expert HOIST. I like the head sculpt and paint job, but otherwise this mold just isn't a good fit for Hoist, unless they're adding a tow hook to the mold.

Doesn't look like there's a hook... but to the designers' defense, Hoist has been a pickup truck before: as a repurposed RiD KB Recolor Ironhide.

I called the character, just not the mold, 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Best 2 out of 3 for the inclusion of Tow-Line!

Kup wouldn't have been my first pick as Machine Wars Hoist, but I guess it looks nice.

wow for some reason I was expecting a classics hoist... haha no idea Machine wars Hoist are those colors. Guess this solidifies my decision of skipping these this year.

It looks nice enough to stand on my Classics Shelf. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

looked more like Trailbreaker to me. I do like the head sculpt. Not sad about missing out in this, but it looks decent enough.

But who would he be?
How does machine wars tie in with classics if at all?
or how would you do it since hes going on your classics shelf.
I'm just curious

That's what they all are, have been, and always will be. No new exclusive molds EVER for the Club or cons.

In the Club storylines, convoluted as it already is, this set is part of the Wings of Honor universe, following G2: Redux of 2010. The Wings Universe is a variant to the G1 timeline, meaning many things are the same, yet many things are different.

It's my favorite time of year, the time when they reveal all the toys I want but can never afford! Luckily, it may not be that much of a problem this year. I forgot the theme was Machine Wars.

Ummm... that's what EVERY Botcon figure is. If you don't want the toys, sell them off to pay for the trip. The convention is awesome even if you don't like the figs.

After the Swerve GDO repaint, i'm really not to enthusiastic about this mold. This release follows the machine wars paint scheme, however, the rifle belongs to Kup, not Hoist. Also I hope it comes with a tow hook - probably not.

I'm sure we will see a yellow version of this mold sporting the name "hubcap" ...awesome :(

I thought they said they were doing characters that had not already been part of the Machine Wars line. I know they also said they'd remake one or two characters that were out of scale. But I don't consider Hoist to be all that main of a character to justify taking up a slot that could have gone to a new MW character. But I do like it.

This looks like a dual purpose figure purposely painted so you could use it as Classics Trailbreaker if you dont want machine wars in your collection. We saw this dual purposing last year with Road Rage and Diaclone Ultra Magnus being dubbed as "Shattered Glass". Not to mention SG soundwave was a rendition of Animated Soundwave to my knowledge.

They've done it a lot more than that! From G2 redux, Slicer was given a purple Autobot logo so he could be repurposed as SG Wheeljack.

I'm no lover of repaints, but I'm actually really digging this guy.

It will look very cool with (what I think we can safely assume will come out) a 3rd party add-on tow hook.
