So the actual theme this year is any prior Transformers line with "Machine" in the name.
Well, at least the theme isn't technically Beast Machines, and I'm all for rehabilitating its few decent characters by working them into other areas; Strika's brief but awesome turn in Animated reaffirmed her as the first and best choice for this treatment.

Strika? With an awesome head sculpt? And out of the Generations Warpath mold?!

You know, her lack of faction symbols raises an interesting question. Before becoming a Vehicon General in Beast Machines, she was one of the greatest generals of all time next to Obsidian, with her prime directive being the protection of Cybertron. Would that make actually Machine Wars Strika an Autobot, despite her Animated incarnation being a Decepticon?
Top 5 Priorities:
1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha
2) BW II VS-18 Powerhug vs. Autocrusher
3) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor
4) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow)
5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)
Also looking for any clear Arms Microns, like Shadow (Gora & R.A.), Hellflame and Shining (O.P. and R.A.).
Preparing to move to the US!- JelZe GoldRabbit =:3

More than likely, especially considering that this is Wings Universe, which retconned this pink bot into being pre-G1 Strika:

This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.

Unexpected, but AWESOME!
Makes me wonder if we'll see an Obsidian too.

Well, well! This is a most excellent surprise. Adding another fembot is always good in my eyes. And I actually like the choice of mold used for this, as Strika has always been a bit bulky.
Alos, judging just from the comments above, it seems that this is the first Botcon toy this year that's gotten majority positive reaction.

Extremely so.

Though I have to say that Hoist got a lot of hate for no good reason, he looks fantastic.
