I thought we were referring to the purple, visored one to the pink's right.

Don't forget guys that this is set in the Wings Universe, which itself is meant to be an alternate universe take on the G1 cartoon continuity. So even if one were to think that the G1 cartoon took place in the same timeline as the BM cartoon, this story wouldn't be set in that same timeline.

Rated X wrote:Beast Machines isnt G1 and this figure isnt pink.
BM Stika wasn't pink, she was dark purple:

The wings Universe text story "Flames of Yesterday" did the retcon (and the teal bot next to her was made into Glyph).

But, this is the first that I've heard of it ever being fan speculation. Did that originate from the ATT days?

I see what you are saying though, your separating them by toyline, like how armada is a separate toyline/story from energon, but both occur in the same continuity.

Strika was in the g1 cartoon briefly though. She was a very...ahem...bulky lass, but more pink.

Ehh... no idea, I am just going off what I read on the TFWiki page.

Ask FunPub, they retconned this lady into Strika for their Wings Universe.

I call it Fan Speculation because the first I heard of it, people were posting that screenshot, pointing at the pink Fem(ish)-bot and saying "That could be G1 Strika"

I don't follow Club Fiction closely because I see it as simply Toy Justification, hence I was unaware that they had done that in canon.

Ah okay, thanks. I asked since I thought it might have been cool if this were something that fans had been thinking of for years and finally made canon. Guess not, though.

Ugh, ugliest one yet. Why do they insist on giving every Botcon or TFCC figure a garish eye-searing paint job? I guess the theme for 2013 is "Ugly it up".

Its accurate to the original toy. But maybe the actual toy will be less garish eye-searing looking.

It IS an accurate homage, I'll give it that. But it's an homage to a crappy figure that doesn't an homage, IMO.

OK, Strika has her buddy and we have (one of) the larger figures in the set. Using the HftD Highbrow mold was a given, really. :) Can't wait for the final reveal next week.

The fourth figure reveal in the Machine Wars BotCon 2013 boxset is Obsidian. This figure follows the reveals of Hoist, Skywarp and Strika. Obsidian uses the Hunt for the Decepticons Highbrow mold with yet another new head. The image has been mirrored below for your convenience.

The thing that saddens me the most is that Strika and Obsidian aren't in scale with eachother anymore. Still the homage makes sense, but I'm hoping for less brighter colours on the actual toy.

One by one the exclusives keep getting uglier and uglier and having to do less and less with machine wars... It's quite cleat they dun dropped the ball, but did they have to drop it so far and so hard?

Oh god, can no one get his color scheme right, it's not that hard. :HEADHURTS: Any how this ones very unimpressive in my opinion, there a lot better figures to use for Obsidian.

ahhh UGLY! I am not buying this. I would rather save up for the new springer, blitzwing, IDW figures...and METROPLEX!

Please stop making ugly figures with crappy movie molds!

That's disappointing. Strika is a win, but her counterpart is a loss.

Really poor color scheme choice. :/

Oh snap dudes! I love it, look at the head sculpt! I loved Obsidian and Strika in BM, the only two characters that made any sense to me. I hope Hasbro takes note and give us new molds for them... some day.

I know about Machine Wars. I know about Beast Machines. Did I miss some reading somewhere? Is it "Botcon Beast Machine Wars?" Is it "Machine Wars (and oh, by the way, we are including Beast Machines but not bothering to title it?)" I'm not a CC member, was it explained somewhere that I didn'read. A little help? Thanks.

Me think we'll be digging in the origins of the two Generals, via G1/G2. After all, in Beast Machines they were described as the greatest strategic minds of history, we'll probably get to see that in action here.
