i expected to see new heads on thses guys not just repaints look nice i like starscream more

If these are Botcon, at least one will be part of the add on sets. They do look nice though.

A correction to the news story: Skyquake was released under G1, prior to G2. The Predators and Turbomasters were part of the last year of G1 in the UK.

That's cool. This set is winning me over more and more. Oviously these are not in the box set. I'm betting 1 is a souvenir and the other is the freebie figure. BotCon is supposed to reveal another figure today too, aren't they?

Meh. Guess im alone in not being very impressed by these two. I think the theme for Botcon should have been 'For one aquamarine toy set'.

My biggest annoyance with repaints is if they don't make a new head. I hope this is just an "unfinished preview" and they have new head sculpts. I was going to be looking for a G1 repaint of this mold at BotCon this year so if these two are in the set, Ill be leaving with 3. So far this botcon has given me a bunch of doubles, triples, and quadruples of figs I have =(

I hope the big one of the set is a less used mold

or you guys thinking these might be bonus figs? If this is part of the set, Id say it's Thunderclash and Flak.

no you don't have to go. If they aren't sold out yet you can order a set from botcon's site. Go there and fill out the registration form to place your order, then fax it in.

Like them. Skyquake is pretty cool. Its interesting to note that the Original Skyquake got repainted into Machine Was Starscream, so its quite appropriate that a Starscream would then get repainted into Skyquake.


I love the dark copper and bluish green combination. I wonder why Hasbro discontinued the idea of packing energon Weapons with the toys, they were really cool and had lots of play value.

Those look great. I like the colors on that mold, they look very well done. I'm not very familiar with the characters, but they are nice toys.
