The BotCon fan's choice Hall of Fame award has be renamed to The Hartman Award to honor the Hartman brothers for their contributions to Transformers fan community over the years. Karl and Jon Hartman were the original creators of BotCon back in 1994.

Karl Hartman via facebook wrote:Each year at the Hasbro Transformers Hall of Fame dinner during BotCon (the official Transformers convention), Transformers characters and the creative people behind the Transformers brand are inducted into the Transformers hall of fame. The fans are asked to vote each year for one character that they want to be inducted into the hall of fame, as a fan's choice.

This year, Aaron Archer, one of the vice presidents and creative directors at Hasbro, declared that the fan's choice award will now be called 'the Hartman Award', named for my brother Jon and my contributions to the Transformers fan community over the years, specifically the creation of BotCon 18 years ago in 1994. We are certainly very honored and humbled by this recognition. This is a picture of Aaron and myself taken at the Hasbro booth at BotCon this afternoon.

Guess I am not sure what to think about this. I haven't felt like I had the most pleasant experiences around Karl, but Jon was nice enough when I met him.

Hooray for being the convention creators! So they didn't get an HOF award? Rip off.

Wasn't for them, we wouldn't have BotCon. Thanks Hartman brothers for nearly eighteen years of enjoyment and fan community! :APPLAUSE:
