Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? My MP Anniversary (MP01/Mp04) Prime broke the other night during transformation. As per the photo I have tried to show below the plastic holding one of the tanks onto the leg has snapped. These tanks lock the legs in place when transformed and therefore without it the leg is liable to collapse. http://s1166.photobucket.com/user/pwjalmeida/library/
Has anyone experienced this before and is capable of recommending the best approach to repair this? I am considering gluing (with super glue first and the plastic glue if that is not strong enough) the tank back on, without the spring behind it, and then just wedging the tank in place when transformed and hoping it holds.
Another option is to grab some spares of Ebay and try to replace the part, although if the above gluing approach will work well enough then paying £20 for the spare legs will feel a bit steep. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRANSFORMERS- ... 2c87442dcb

Glue is always iffy, you're either gonna get an excellent hold or it's just gonna snap again in a heartbeat. That said, it's worth trying it, and if it doesn't work I'd just buy some spares since they're available.

Try and find a junker DVD version for replacement parts.
My Transformers purchasing habits, here are my following considerations so as not to DERAIL thread discussions:
1. Not hung up or hate scale. MP, Legend, Voyager....I'll take 'em all.
2. Price is indeed a big factor but if its a need to own one even if I have to eat "Scooby Snacks " for a month then so be it.
3. I tilt towards Tomy products over Hasbro because it's got lots'a bling (Legends Jetfire being the exception)
