As any Transformers fan can attest, the Robots in Disguise have an ability to make things all better in our every day lives. It looks like they'll be taking it a step further to help out a great cause.

On October 4th, 2009 at 11:00 AM, Hasbro Children's Hospital will be hosting its inaugural "The Walk: Hasbro Childrens Hospital" Fundraising event. All walkers are welcome to join the event that will be paced by none other than Bumblebee, the first official 2010 Chevy Camaro.

Walkers and their teams from all over Rhode Island and southeastern New England will be able to choose two-mile or five-mile strolls along the scenic and pedestrian-friendly paths by the rivers in historic downtown Providence. While the walkers share a common goal -- enhancing Hasbro Children's Hospital's care for kids -- many will have personal reasons for their involvement.

Timothy J. Babineau, M.D., Rhode Island Hospital's president and chief executive officer, says, "We decided to start this walk in addition to our very successful annual gala. This event will allow members of our community, who prefer to support a different type of activity, to help the young patients at Hasbro Children's Hospital. It's easy for anyone to get involved and be a part of The Walk."

It's great to hear this kind of news. BB is the perfect Transformer character to participate in the walk.

Awww....what great news find that is. Thanks for letting us know. If I lived any where near there I'd walk for such great cause too. Though I must make a guilty confession seeing, Bumblebee, the first official 2010 Chevy Camaro would be big bonus! :)

What is the difference between a hospital and a infirmary? What is the main and overriding difference between a hospital and an infirmary, and do these distinctions only apply in Britain?
