Wow, can't tell any difference between the real deal (out of package, at least).
$50 and they're actually selling, whoa! Likely because the real one's so much more money. Glad I got one when it was in stores.

It seems to be the same price as the official one I bought at a con last year.

Looks passable at first glance.

Wow, that does look like the real deal. I have the original and it is my fav version of Barricade (my favorite movie character).

I do wish Has/Tak would start capitalizing on demand for the more popular and harder to find figures like this one instead of leaving the demand with no supply waiting for the KO companies to swoop in (not that I can really blame the KO companies for doing so if Has/Tak isn't willing to take care of their own customers).

Knock Off Human Alliance? Apparently so.

This auction on eBay has been selling knock off Human Alliance Barricade figures, and it seems there are multiple sellers doing it.
They all claim to be knock offs, and none try to hide it. The quality is in question since no one seems to have one in hand, but based on appearances alone, this is an exact 1:1 duplication of the real figure.

Be careful when buying, don't get ripped off by a "good" deal. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. With Human Alliance prices going for tidy sums on eBay, a price below $50.00 for such a figure should be an instant red flag.

Maybe it ISN'T a knockoff, nut the real deal. They just bring the price down, so people will buy there first. Well, but then calling it a KO doesn't make much sense. there's sense in there somewere.

If you look at some of the auctions, you'll see they're selling multiples, sometimes 10 or more. I find it hard to believe that Hasbro or TakaraTomy made case after case of just Barricades and they somehow got misplaced so these guys could hock 'em for low prices.

I get where you're coming from, but I'm gonna believe the seller. If he claims it's a KO, I'm not gonna argue.

I know it has to be the standard intro for KO news, but "Buyer Beware" just sounds silly when all the sellers so far have fessed up to what they are.

I too already got the real deal on clearance, but yeah, "beware". Especially if they start selling exact replicas of HA Mudflap for under $50, allowing an opener like myself to have the bike-sisters trio in scale with other Bayniverse figures. Then I'll be REALLY "scared".

Or if someone KOed that cancelled vs. pack of the 3 Legends bike-sisters fighting deluxe Sideways. Then I'll be "terrified".

I know I'm taking a morally dubious stand by wishing for more new KOs, but if Hasbro really has a problem with this, perhaps they could give us their full definition of "retired" I.P. As in what might have happened to the Dinobots without FOC. Now THAT barely averted a situation of which I'd "beware".

Hell..If it was a decant looking KO and was at a good price.I would buy one to hack up for some mods I want to do to one of my real HA Barricades. That's where I find mods perfectly acceptable when you are going to chop them up to use for mods. :BOT:

If your gonna knock off a figure, why waste plastic KO'ing cheap retail figures ??? How about knocking off something thats a little bit more rare...

No because the seller is telling you in his listing that it's a KO

Because I think it what mold they can get their hands on and barricade is one of the rarer HA figures next to mudflap

You really could report it, though. After the big KO purge a few years back people began to list things as "remake" or "china reissue" to avoid being taken down outright by being overly honest and calling their stuff a KO.

But why do it when it comes down to it it's someone trying to make a living and he's being honest about what he's selling. I'm a seller on eBay and I can't count how many times someone buys my item without reading the description. It's the stupid that make things so difficult

Well, no argument from me on that point.

I have no idea why as it's a mediocre figure, but this thing is/was selling for over $100 MISB and around $100 even loose. I just so happened to have an extra that I couldn't unload for $20 a year ago...then somehow it became a highly desired fig and I listed it on eBay for $20 w/ free shipping...bastard sold for $112. Thanks to all the people that passed when I was trying to unload it for cheap :)

I shoulda sold my own loose copy before the KO was released, too.

Have just recieved a HA Barricade for $40 on ebay. Since I have the original Hasbro version, I can safely say, there is absolutely no difference in packaging or toy quality. Boxes are identical in colour and size. All writings, trademarks ect are exactly how they should be. Barcode is exact. Plastic quality is the same. No loose parts. Frenzy same. If it is indeed a ko (which the price suggests), it's damn, damn good! In fact, I'm 100% sure that the original manufacturer, Hasbro, would not be able to tell you which was which. It may be an original. Stolen stock? Who knows?
But just because it's cheap.....it ain't a clear ko.

Hmm. That's really bad news, then. Have to wonder, then...are they stolen legit items, or just that good? Perplexing turn of events...

One way to tell if it shares an identical mold is to try and parts swap. Often, while it may seem identical in hand a bit of parts swapping shows things don't measure up completely.
