Don Murphy cannot do more to Captain Planet than Captain Planet has already done to itself.

There were a lot better options competing for my viewing time as a kid when this was originally on, and there are any number of properties that need to be film-i-fied before this crap does. Bleh.

Captain Planet struck me as science homework rather than an adventure.

Try watching the show with some friends. I can almost guarantee it'll be much better, if only because you have people to laugh at it with.
