The Trion – Bridge

“You better watch yourself, Swoop. I’m not above tearing your beak off and shoving it up your aft section.” The threat was very real considering it had come from Slag. The flamethrower turned his attention back to the terminal before him. His optics trailed over the expanse before they came to rest on the interface ports. “Frag. I can’t believe I’m gonna do this…” he grumbled lowly.

“Maybe everything isn’t so great on this ship. I’m reading some weird program going through the various subroutines, testing them and recording them."

Slag quickly stopped his advance and looked over his shoulder at Swoop. “Well, well, well. I guess this little tour ain’t gonna be all that boring after all.” Slag chuckled darkly. The thought of an impending fight raced through his processor. The outcome: a painful death for the intruder.

It was then that Slag’s attention was drawn to the Dinobot Commander. They needed a distraction and this was perfect. Albeit unexpected but still welcome. But first he wanted to know just what kind of armaments the Trion was outfitted with.

He turned back to the terminal before him and slid his hands into the ports. Once he was integrated into the ship’s systems he brought up an inventory of the Trion’s weapons. She was packing some heavy artillery. Slag chuckled lowly as he ran through the list in his HUD more than once. “Oh baby, I think I love you.”

"Slag, Snarl, with me. We heading to engineering, see if we can find who planting this program. Maybe stop him from doing worse to ship, at very least we make sure he not get away."

The sound of Grimlock calling out to him drew the enamored Dinobot’s attention back to the current situation. Someone screwing with the ship. Right. It’s game face time.

“Come on, Slag! Time to find us a spy! Crush him good and hard!" The Desert Warrior chuckled.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m comin’.” Slag disengaged from the ports and made his way toward the door. He fell in step beside Grimlock and Snarl as they exited the bridge.

“This wasn’t part of the plan. Could this actually be some sort of ‘Con attack?” The flamethrower kept his voice low so only the Dinobot Commander and the desert warrior could hear. “Not that I’m against looking a gift turbohorse in the mouth, but this is just too convenient.”

The Trion—Engineering

“Yes! In! Yeah baby," Warmonger shouted, before covering his vocalizer and looking around suspiciously before quickly looking back at the monitors: the disc was a blinking series of schematics and technical specifications that the disc was ripping from the core functions of the Trion and would be forthwith forwarded to Decepticon Intelligence. Thereafter, the disc would begin to upload a series of viruses that would cripple the Trion’s internal functions. And once that was done, it would not be too long thereafter before Warmonger received the promotion he had been so voraciously seeking.

The Decepticon infiltrator rubbed his actuators together in obvious glee before hearing what sounded like a series of heavy footsteps coming in his direction.

Who could that be? Warmonger hissed a silent curse. He had checked and re-checked the duty logs. None of the engineering crews were due back in this part of the ship. Everything was signed off on and good to go. It was precisely why he had chosen this time to make his move: he had a perfect window of opportunity between the final crew shift and the impending maiden voyage of this impressive ship. Of course, it wouldn't be all that impressive for much longer.

He couldn’t interrupt the disc now. He just had to hope it was one of the burlier guards doing a random sweep of the area. Dumb lugs wouldn’t notice a slicer if it was slicing into their own brain modules.

Warmonger moved off to one side of the engineering bay. If some mech actually did decide to stop in here, he could whip up a plausible, last-breem explanation for his presence.

Weapon: Energo-Sword
The Trion – Corridors

Grimlock grunted in reply to Slag. “Even if it not Decepticon attack, we turn it into one. If it attack or sabotage, me make move to take full command of ship. Technicians and bureaucrats probably be happy to turn over command to real warrior, combat veteran who knows what he doing. By the time they stop panicking at thought of battle we be too far ahead of them. If we really lucky though it be real Decepticon, then we get to do some fighting and less lying. Fighting always good and less lying always easier.”

The Dinobot leader stopped as they reached the entrance to engineering. “If there is Decepticon in here me want melee only. Don’t need blasters and flamethrowers in engineering unless either of you think you smart enough to repair damage we do. Me know me not smart enough to fix engineering systems on high tech ship. Don’t need to take a crippled ship back to Earth.

Grimlock produced his energo sword, clutching it tightly in his hand. He did honestly hope there was a Decepticon on the ship. It had been far too long since he had fought a Decepticon. Even if it would be an easy kill, as he doubted any Decepticons inconspicuous enough to sneak into a shipyard would be powerful enough to give him a challenge, it would still be some sort of combat. Real combat, against a real Decepticon, as opposed to the training sessions and cheap combat they had encountered recently just weren’t satisfactory. Eliminating a real Decepticon would be terribly satisfying.

The warrior nodded at Snarl and Slag before stepping forward as the door to engineering slid open.

The Trion – Engineering

Grimlock stepped into engineering, slowly scanning the vast room of computer panels, generators and various other machines and equipment. There was a decent amount of background noise as the power core thrummed and indicators and alerts buzzed and beeped. He had the coordinates of the possible breach but it his line of sight towards it was blocked.

The Dinobot commander looked back at his teammates. He silently gestured for Snarl to head around the left and Slag to the right. They would flank and surround wherever this anomaly was coming from. If it was a Decepticon he wasn’t going to let him get away. Grimlock himself would take the direct route, energo sword in hand he moved directly towards the coordinates, hopeful thoughts of finding a Decepticon running through his head.

Warmonger could still hear the muffled words coming closer, but was no more able to make out what was being said than he had been before. What became immediately clear was that they weren't just passing by. They were headed into engineering. Something had slipped somewhere. Warmonger silently cursed himself. He didn't know what it was, but he could analyze and clean up the mistake later. The disc had to be done ripping the information it needed. Subspace transmission could never be trusted from this great a distance. He would have to provide a hard copy of proof to Decepticon Intelligence. The Decepticons would get their first look at the schematics of the latest Autobot war machine and begin dissecting it, and the disc itself would begin dissecting the ship. Either path would prevent the Autobots from capitalizing on their massive investment. But he had to get out of here with the disc for that all to go as planned.

Whoever was in here now, they clearly knew something up, as the chatter from outside had stopped. As soon as they saw the terminal and what was inside it, they would really know something was up. Warmonger couldn't afford them that opportunity.

He reached down for his weapon. The mission had clearly reached its critical point. He would have to break cover now, incapacitate or kill the guard and make off with the data and let the subversive weaponry do the rest.

"Alright, freeze Autobo-"

Warmonger whipped around, weapon in hand, ready to fire before finding himself standing in front of one of the largest Autobots he had ever seen. An Autobot he knew only too well, especially after they had made their presence so forcefully known on this station almost as quickly as they had arrived--the primal gladiator and the rest of his team.

The Trion - Corridors / Main Engineering

Snarl followed Grimlock through the corridors of the Trion as they and the other Dinobots headed for Main Engineering. The Desert Warrior listened closely as the Dinobot Commander laid out his strategy depending on what exactly they found at their intended destination. Hopefully, it would be a real Decepticon spy. The less lying the better. The more lies they had to tell the more complicated things would ultimately get. Eventually, one lie would contradict another and then their true motives here would be discovered. While many of the Autobots on board the station were physically weak in comparison to a Dinobot, they were certainly a bit more intelligent. Still, they had come this far. There was no turning back now.

As they approached the door to Engineering, Grimlock gave the order for melee combat only in order to avoid destroying anything. “Got it, boss,” Snarl replied as he pulled out his own energo sword. “Me know little about fixing things around here. Me keep to melee like you say.” The Desert Warrior then turned around to look at the Jungle Warrior. “Sludge, probably not good idea to stomp around in Dino mode like you normally do. Might cause too much damage. Just use sword. Understand?”

Not waiting for a response from his huge comrade, Snarl turned around and followed Grimlock and the others into Main Engineering. The solar-powered mech gave his commander a return nod as he moved to the left side of the chamber. There was enough background noise to muffle his footfalls to an extent, but considering his large size those loud sounds would only help to a certain degree. Anyone who was paying attention would hear that five big Dinobots were now in the room. Snarl carefully moved past a variety of machinery and equipment, most of which the Desert Warrior had no knowledge of how to work. Thankfully, he didn’t have to. At least, not yet.

Approaching the coordinates from the left flank, Snarl could make out a mech standing near an access terminal. The plated Dinobot could not tell what exactly this individual was doing, but he was at the source of the intruder program that had been detected back on the bridge. Therefore, it could be assumed that he was up to no good. Was he a ‘Con spy? A turncoat? The Desert Warrior was about to find out one way or another.

However, before Snarl could do anything, the mech in question suddenly spun around, weapon in hand, ready to fire at Grimlock who had been coming up directly behind him. “Alright, freeze Autobo-” was all that Warmonger could utter before he saw that it was the Dinobot Commander, himself, who had discovered him. The spy’s words told the solar-powered Dinobot all that he needed to know. The unknown mech was definitely a Decepticon who had somehow infiltrated the station and was attempting to steal information regarding the Trion. It didn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to figure that out now. At least, if nothing else, this ‘Con had given them just what they needed in order to take the ship for themselves.

“No, you freeze, Decepti-scum!” Snarl growled at Warmonger as the Desert Warrior appeared from behind a computer panel, his sword held at the ready.

Everything had seemed fine before now, too. In the next instant the bridge entry doors had slid out of the Autobot's path and he was headed for engineering.

“Kill joy” Slag grumbled. Here was his chance to actually get into a scrap with some ‘Con spy, or better yet some ‘Bot turned spy, but he hit a roadblock. A roadblock that was neigh impossible to maneuver around. Grimlock equals roadblock. Another grumble.

Slag clenched his jaw until it began to ache. What he wouldn’t give to get his hands on whomever it was they were looking for.

Pulling his energo sword the Dinobot flamethrower nodded toward Grimlock indicating he would be moving to the right as indicated by his Commander.

Once out of sight Slag slipped in between several generators and stopped at a location where he could see the mech they were there for. The corner of Slag’s lips curled into a sneer. This was it? This was the fragger they were looking for?

With a deep growl the enraged Dinobot stepped out from his hidden location.

"Alright, freeze Autobo-"

A chuckle escaped Slag’s vocalizer as he moved to bear his sword.

"-oh, slag."

Slag’s chuckle turned into dark laughter as he took a quick purposeful step in Warmonger’s. “You better pray to Primus because calling me will only get ya dead.”

“No, you freeze, Decepti-scum!" one Dinobot retorted.

“You better pray to Primus because calling me will only get ya dead," another added.

The Dinobots had him caged in like a cyberfox. His optics shifted warily from one to another, taking on a more frantic pace as they did so. Like any Decepticon operatives who were trained to undertake covert intelligence missions, there were contingencies in place when this sort of thing happened.

Fighting his way out of this group of primally legendary Cybertronian warriors was so laughable it was ridiculous. Getting the data he had stolen back to Decepticon command was the primary objective, but that wasn't going to happen. The best he could hope for now was to take this ship out of commission, and hopefully the Dinobots with it. It would be his sacrifice as well, but some missions were worth the sacrifice. He had no doubts that Megatron or Shockwave would execute him for this failure. And then he would be relegated to the insignificant footnotes of history. A no-name Decepticon who had done nothing of consequence to win the war. His only hope for leaving a real mark on the archives was to do this.

"To the Pit with all of us then," Warmonger said, engaging a partial transformation sequence that revealed a number of explosive devices that were retrofitted into his carapace.

And the few scant astroseconds on the timer began to immediately tick away....

"Uhhh... Right." The jungle warrior mumbled as he shifted from his gargantuan Apatosaurus mode and into his still quite massive robot mode per Snarl's suggestion. He stared down at the hilt of his energo sword as he wrapped his actuators around the weapon and drew it from its sheath. He followed behind the desert warrior, who in turn was following behind their leader, Grimlock.

"To the Pit with all of us then,"

Sludge's optics widened in surprise as he looked over Snarl's chassis and took notice of Warmonger's internal payload. Slag was standing closest to the Decepticon, ready to advance further upon him at any moment. Sludge wanted to call out and get his fellow Dinobot out of harms way, but he wasn't one for issuing commands. He felt Grimlock was the only one who was fit to issue orders to his squad. The jungle warrior could only sit back and await a response from their leader, gripping the hilt of his energo sword and bringing it up into a more battle-ready stance as he grew anxious wondering what he ought to do.

Grimlock watched events unfold in front of him in slow motion. He had been willing to let this Decepticon live long enough to explain what he had done. It would be better for everyone if they took the ship knowing whatever damage or sabotage he had done to the ship. You never wanted to take a ship into battle that could potentially blow up or fail on you abruptly in the middle of a fight.

Unfortunately when the Decepticon revealed the numerous explosive devices on him it meant there would be no time for any sort of interrogation or information gathering. Now it was just a race to see if Grimlock could kill him and then save them all before the Con killed himself and took everyone with him. It was a moment for no hesitation, not planning or plotting, it was time for action and instinct. It was the type of moment Grimlock was created for.

The Dinobot leader moved forward, his left hand lashing out to knock aside Warmonger’s gun arm. With his right hand he thrust his sword forward. The energo-sword, propelled by the Dinobot’s massive strength, pierced the Decepticon’s chest, cutting through internal workings, his spark chamber, spine and then out his back, impaling him on the weapon. It wasn’t very Autobot of him, but Grimlock really enjoyed that moment of snuffing out the Decepticon saboteur.

There was no time to revel in that feeling though. He doubted whether killing the saboteur would stop the bombs from detonating or not. In fact he was probably lucky they hadn’t gone off by now. Grimlock, lifted his sword up, the Decepticon still impaled on it. He quickly carried the Decepticon on his blade, jogging to the nearest escape pod. A swift kick to the control panel opened the pod and a swing of his sword sent the Decepticon flying into it. A fist slamming into the eject button sent the pod hurtling away from the ship.

Grimlock spun to face the Dinobots. “Brace for explosion!”

>>”Cloudburst, bombs in escape pod outside ship! Warn shipyards!”<<

The Dinobot braced himself against the frame of the escape pod hatchway. Even during this potential disaster he could see an opportunity. The path to seizing the Trion was laid out in front of them now. The tricky part now would be surviving the next few seconds. It looked like the battleship was going to see its real first test with a close range explosion.

The sight of numerous explosive devices emanating from Warmonger’s framework caused Snarl to take a tentative step back. The desert warrior’s processor immediately began considering a suitable course of action to render the saboteur’s payload moot. Perhaps stabbing the traitor through his cranial unit with an energo sword would do the trick, or maybe that would only succeed in killing the Decepticon spy while his payload continued to count down to oblivion. There was always the option of disarming the bombs, but none of the Dinobots had the capability to handle so many devices all at once. Not to mention, there was not enough time.

“Stay behind me, Sludge,” Snarl instructed his larger comrade as he took a few steps forward with his sword held high in the air, ready to strike. His intention was to decapitate the intruder and then depose of the bomb-laced body as quickly as possible. However, the solar-powered mech didn’t get very far as Grimlock was way ahead of him. The Dinobot Commander made his move and impaled the saboteur with his sword before depositing the fragger into an escape pod. Without hesitation, Grimlock jettisoned the dead body out into the main shipyard and then warned the rest to prepare for the forthcoming explosion.

Putting his sword away, Snarl grabbed a hold of the nearest bulkhead and braced himself. Astroseconds ticked by and then it happened. The blast outside could be heard even within the confines of the heavily armored Trion. The warship shook violently as the desert warrior held on for dear life. The lights flashed on and off while anything that wasn’t nailed down or properly secured went flying everywhere. Debris hit Snarl on his back, but he hardly noticed in all the chaos that had erupted around him. The solar-powered mech would be fine as would the other Dinobots. They were all incredibly strong and could endure much more than this. Hopefully, the Trion would also endure and not be too badly damaged by the detonation.

As for the shipyards, themselves, Snarl had no idea what level of destruction would ultimately be wrought by the explosives. Regardless, knowing Grimlock as well as the desert warrior did, the Dinobot Commander was likely already plotting a way to use whatever mayhem ensued outside to their collective advantage. In the meantime, Snarl continued to hold on to the bulkhead and hoped for the best possible outcome.

The Decepticon exploded quite spectacularly outside the ship. The escape pod he was inside was a pretty rugged vessel, designed to drop through an atmosphere if needed. It was naturally destroyed in the explosion but it did help contain a bit of its power. The explosion sent a tremor throughout the shipyard as alarms and klaxons went off. Autobots rushed to their emergency stations as the facility erupted in chaos.

The Trion was rocked by the explosion, being right next to it. Flames licked the hull, scorching the brand new paint job while debris crashed into the side of it. Fortunately the Trion was a warship and heavily armored even without any sort of energy shielding activated. The explosion gave the Trion its first battle scar, marring its otherwise pristine appearance.

The explosion also gave Grimlock an opportunity. Once the blast had subsided he moved to the nearest intercom and open a channel to the entire ship. His voiced boomed through the ship. “This Dinobot Commander Grimlock, all hands abandon ship! Repeat, all hands abandon ship! This not drill!” The saboteur had given them the perfect opportunity. While Grimlock didn’t think the ship was in any real danger he knew that in a secure, peaceful setting like this just the idea of a saboteur would put people into a panic. They wouldn’t all be thinking clearly or logically, and it would be easy for someone like him to take control of the situation.

Grimlock turned to Cloudburst. “Help get ship evacuated! Dinobots take ship out of shipyards, not know what other bombs or sabotage that Decepticon due to it. Can’t risk ship exploding inside shipyards and wipe everything out. Dinobots get Trion out of shipyards safely, then we can worry about sabotage on ship. Now move!”

“Swoop, find auxiliary controls and give us moving! Should be some sort of back up systems here, no time to get to bridge. Snarl, find some sensors and make sure everyone getting off ship! Slag, start disconnecting ship from shipyards. Sludge, make sure everyone but Dinobots out of engineering.” While they moved to carry out his orders Grimlock began checking the ships internal systems. He didn’t think there was any additional sabotage, otherwise the Con probably would have tried to bargain with them, but he wasn’t going to take that chance, at least not completely.

Swoop began running his optics over the various control panels. It didn’t look like engineering had any of the fancy interfaces the bridge had, which was a bit disappointing. Still there should be something he could use down here to steer the ship, controls he could reconfigure somehow. He started working on a control panel, reprogramming controls to something similar to a standard ship’s helm controls.

When a Dinobot told you to do something, especially a Dinobot who was also one of the most singularly feared Cybertronians in existence, you did it. Cloudburst really had no problems with that. They were breaching a few protocols, of course, but under the circumstances that seemed to be, well, the lesser of other evils.

Frankly, he was just thankful that the saboteur had not accomplished his mission and that the Dinobot's quick thinking had likely spared not only the ship but potentially the entire station. Who knew what the Decepticons' ultimate objective was? Cloudburst didn't. But it wasn't hard to guess, either.

Just that quickly, Cloudburst was off, helping other stray Autobot crewmechs clear the ship.

"Nice and calm! Please proceed to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion!" Cloudburst called out over the klaxons as one Autobot after another ran past him.

“This Dinobot Commander Grimlock, all hands abandon ship! Repeat, all hands abandon ship! This not drill!" came Grimlock's voice over the ship's intercom system.

"Is he serious?" one Autobot said, stopping just long enough to ask Cloudburst the question.

"Yeah. Very," was his reply, quickly brushing the Autobot along before joining the exodus once more. "Keep moving! Keep your circuits together!"

>>"CLOUDBURST! What in the name of Primus, the Allspark and the Pit is going on in there?!? I’ve got reports of an explosion, sabotage, alarms going off and now and evacuation order for the Trion! What is happening over there and who is giving these orders??"<<

>>"Ahhhhh...yeah...hey chief. It seems we had a Decepticon saboteur in our midst. Who knows? Maybe more than one. Anyway, he made his move but, uh, luckily for us and stupidly for him, he made his move while the Dinobots happened to still be on board. We're just evacuating the ship now as a precautionary measure then we'll run some sweeps and make sure the 'Con didn't do any lasting damage while he was in there. Grimlock appears to have the situation under control, sir. I'm sure this isn't the first time his batch have run into something like this hahah."<<

It was nervous laughter, but it was the best he could muster under the circumstances as he walked along one of the access bridges and into the hangar itself where other mechs were gathering and talking amongst themselves.

Once the explosion had subsided outside and everything had finally settled down within Engineering, Snarl let go of the bulkhead and took a glance at his comrades and surroundings. All of the Dinobots appeared to be no worse for wear while debris littered the floor as alarms and klaxons echoed throughout not only the room but the entire ship, as well. Grimlock, of course, wasted no time in taking charge of the situation, using the intercom system to order everyone on board to abandon the ship. He then told Cloudburst to help with the evacuation, giving the smaller Autobot some excuse as to why they needed to move the Trion out of the shipyards for the safety of everyone on the station. Like the gullible mech that he was, Cloudburst bought it and quickly left Engineering.

“Wow,” Snarl said in a low tone, turning his attention to Grimlock. “Me surprised little Cloudbutt actually believed that slag.” The desert warrior then quickly looked over at Slag. “Sorry, me didn’t mean you. Heh.” Without delay, the Dinobot Commander issued more orders, this time to his squad. When Snarl received his instructions, he nodded obediently and walked over to the nearest security station. Unlike up on the bridge, there was no high-tech interface would mind meld his brain with the system. Instead, it was just an old school terminal. Simple and direct, just how the solar-powered Dinobot liked it.

Letting his actuators dance across the console’s keys, Snarl quickly accessed the security feeds of every camera on board the Trion. Each of the images showed various mechs running like scared cyber-rats for the exits, reacting in their own ways to Grimlock’s declaration to abandon ship. Some took longer to process the situation than others, standing around talking instead of evacuating. However, with the help of Cloudburst, the slow ones were eventually moved along, as well. All seemed to be going according to plan. “Grimlock, me watching security feeds. Everyone leaving as ordered. Soon, ship be empty and we can finally get out of here and back to battle.” The desert warrior’s attention returned to the security console as his continued to monitor the video feeds.

Snarl had been away from the fight for too long and his increasingly grumpy demeanor clearly demonstrated that. While he had his doubts initially regarding Grimlock’s plan to steal the Trion, things appeared to be coming together nicely now. Soon, they could take the battle to the ‘Cons with the greatest warship in the Autobot fleet. That is, of course, if they all weren’t ultimately arrested and thrown into a cell at the Garrus-9 penitentiary. Snarl had already been trapped in stasis for countless vorns thanks to Grimlock’s actions. The desert warrior wasn’t about to endure more vorns stuck inside a tiny cell that was likely designed for a normal sized mech. He would go stir crazy if that happened. In fact, they’d have to extract his spark to get him to settle down.

Me just blame it all on Grimlock. Him leader. Him most responsible, Snarl thought inwardly with a sigh, hoping that things wouldn’t eventually come to that. Combat was what the solar-powered Dinobot craved more than anything, and he would find his way back to the front lines no matter what.

The Trion – Engineering

It didn’t happen often but in this instance Slag felt regret after witnessing the death of the ‘Con. It wasn’t that he felt sorry, no not at all. No, he was regretful because he wasn’t the one to dispatch the miserable piece of scrap himself.

Slag let out a grumble as the shuttle exploded some distance from the Trion. Thankfully the vessel was far enough away so as not to cause any damage to the new Autobot cruiser.

“Swoop, find auxiliary controls and give us moving! Should be some sort of back up systems here, no time to get to bridge. Snarl, find some sensors and make sure everyone getting off ship! Slag, start disconnecting ship from shipyards. Sludge, make sure everyone but Dinobots out of engineering."

The flamethrower’s attention was brought back to the Dinobot Commander with Grimlock’s new orders. Slag offered a stiff nod before he jogged toward the ship’s docking terminal. His fingers swept over the keys on the console as he began to initiate the release sequence. He wasn’t concerned as to whether or not one was capable of interfacing directly with the ship from this location; in fact he preferred a more hands out approach. Sticking one’s hands in some port….ugh…not for the flamethrower.

One last keystroke and the docking clamps began to disengage. Slag looked up and glanced in Grimlock’s direction. “Docking clamps disengaged. Separation from platform in 2.2 breems. If you want everyone off this ship I suggest you get your afts in gear and usher them out now.”

The Trion – Medical Bay

Thank Primus he left. Pharma ran his hand down the length of his face. It hadn’t taken long before he and Ambulon were at one another’s throat. It was no surprise. They didn’t get along and for the life of him he had no idea why he didn’t ship the medic somewhere else.

Well, he did know why….two reasons in fact. The mech was a former ‘Con. Keeping him within arm’s reach was a good way to ensure everyone remained safe. The second reason, and he’d never admit it to anyone, but Ambulon was a good medic. Not the best, but he was good.

Pharma let out a heavy sigh as he turned his optics toward the ceiling. “Ugh. Help me Primus…” he said lowly. Shaking his head the doctor stepped into the quarantine room. He made sure, however, to disable to lock from the inside….just in case.

The doctor had just begun to store several pieces of equipment when the entire ship shook….or at least it felt as though the entire ship had been shaken. Pharma grabbed onto a nearby shelf in order to stabilize himself, but the movements only jarred him causing the shelf to come loose and fall.

He tried to shift out of the way but he wasn’t fast enough to miss the edge of the shelf. It struck him in the temple hard enough to send him down to the floor where his head slammed hard into the floor. The Pharma’s optics flickered for a moment before they grew dark and his body went slack. The ship rocked again sending a small tray toward the door. The piece of metal connected with the keypad initiating the locking sequence. The room would be off limits until Pharma woke up and reversed the locking sequence. For now he was a permanent resident on the Trion’s maiden voyage.

Grimlock grunted in reply to Snarl and Slag's comments. "Anyone not off ship by then become member of our crew. Probably be stupid, slow or weak mechs, smart, fast, strong mechs all get off ship easily. Ones left on board shouldn't give us problems. Once we off we take bridge, lock it down and get back to Earth and the fighting. Autobots on board can join Magnus and his group, strongest warriors will come to us on board Trion, best warship in the fleet. Real warriors want to be in thick of fighting, and that where me intending to take us."

The Dinobot commander couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. They were going to pull it off, and they were going to come back to Earth as heroes, with the massive reinforcement that was the Trion. He would show the Autobots once again that his was the way to win this war, and smooth over any of the worries he suspected some of his Dinobots might still have about him after their absence from the war while being stuck on Earth.

"Swoop, can you pilot this thing yet?"

The Dinobot flier frowned. "Yeah, hang on, just about have the controls reconfigured. Its not going to be as elegant as flying it from the bridge, but I can get us moving and out of the dock. Just don't expect anything really fancy yet."

"Me not need fancy Swoop, me just need us out of here. Get us moving second we are disconnected. Autobots start asking questions of this take too long, and me not interested in talking. It time to get back to frontlines again."

The jacking procedure was easy as punching out Starscream in a fist fight but actually getting the huge Trion disconnected from the docks was proving to be more of a challenge. Fortunately with the new interface Swoop was finding it easy the fuel lines where in the process of retracting a soft thrumming could be heard as the main power units came to life.

"The power plants are powering up the fuel lines are retracting, proceeding with retracting the boarding ramps"

The entire thing was being viewed across his mindscape the engines where coming online as where the navigation controls. In his mind's eye the last of the boarding ramps had retracted along with the fuel lines.

"So we're clear of all lines and boarding ramps putting power to the engines and moving us out"

The Trion's engines flared to life and the huge ship started to move gracefully from its dock Swoop set course for the outer navigational markers.

"Hey Grimlock we're under power and on the way outta here might wanna come up with an excuse for this thou" Swoop commented with a crooked grin

The Trion - Engineering

It was finally happening. After the long road taken to get to this point, the Trion was under the Dinobots’ control. Now, all they needed to do was get the Autobot vessel out of the shipyards and then they could go to warp and head back to Sol-3. Grimlock and his unit had been out of battle for far too long. Besides a short session in the shipyards' large training facility, the Dinobots had seen no real action to speak of. Now, that would all change as they headed back to the frontlines of this neverending war with the Decepticons.

Grimlock stood tall behind Swoop, his arms crossed over his massive chest plate, watching as the bombardier interfaced with the ship’s computer system. While being on the bridge would’ve been preferable, engineering would have to make do, at least until they were well on their way. There was simply no time to make the long trek back to the bridge. They needed to get moving as soon as possible before Countdown and Cloudburst contacted them again, asking even more questions there were no truthful answers to.

Thankfully, Swoop had done his job well as the ship was now disengaged from the dock and on its way out of the shipyards. “Excellent job, Swoop!” Grimlock commended his pilot, patting the smaller mech on the shoulder plate. The bombardier’s follow-up concern was then duly noted. “Not need come up with excuse, Swoop. Already told Cloudburst we taking Trion out of shipyards in case more bombs on board, and he bought it. That should be good enough for time being. Just get us outside as quickly as possible.”

The Dinobot Commander then turned his attention to the other members of his unit. “Slag, interface with weapons systems. Bring them online if not already. If anyone tries to follow us, aim to disable, NOT destroy. Understood? We not looking to kill own bots no matter how weak they are. Snarl, Sludge, guard main entrances to engineering level. There are two at either end of deck. Let no one inside. Me want everything locked down tight. Got it?”

“Yeah, we got it, Grim,” Snarl replied as he moved away from the security feeds he had been monitoring. “Me just hope you know what you doing. Don’t need to end up in Garrus-9 prison with spark extracted. That be same thing as trapped in stasis lock.”

“That not happen, Snarl. This not like last time with Shockwave. We all be fine,” Grimlock responded in an annoyed manner. Yes, the Dinobot Commander had screwed up millions of years ago on the planet Earth which resulted in the Dinobots ending up in stasis lock for countless vorns. It was the kind of mistake he would not make again. Of course, Snarl has never let him forget his past transgressions no matter what Grimlock did to try and show him that things were different now.

“Me hope so,” Snarl said with a grunt, turning to the Jungle Warrior. “Let’s go Sludge. We got guard duty.” The plated warrior then walked off towards the opposite end of engineering. “One of the entrances is that way, Sludge.” Snarl pointed at the door in question. “You guard that while I go down to far end and guard the other one. Think you can handle that?”
_________

With his orders given, Grimlock approached the security console that Snarl had been previously manning. The Desert Warrior had chosen to access the feeds utilizing the old fashion push button controls. However, there was also the direct interface option that Swoop was utilizing to pilot the ship. Deciding to give this new technology a try, Grimlock placed both hands into the interface slots and quickly found himself transported inside the ship's security systems.

A virtual reality environment known as the “security hub” surrounded Grimlock as square shaped images from every video sensor floated around him in a glorious display. They were like small “windows” into every part of the Trion, both inside and outside. Snarl had missed out on so much by not interfacing with the system in this manner. It was so much more efficient. However, Grimlock could also understand some of his men’s apprehension of putting their minds directly into a computer. What if something went wrong and they couldn’t get out properly? Could that cause permanent processor damage? Those were questions that had yet to be answered and hopefully would not be any time soon.

“Amazing,” Grimlock muttered to himself as he quickly noticed in several of the window images that there were confused-looking mechs loitering about in some of the corridors near the ship’s various exits. Apparently, not all were capable of following orders and had missed getting off the Trion in time. No matter. These particular Autobots would not pose a problem as they were clearly not the warrior types. Still, if those had remained on board then there were bound to be others that could be stronger and pose more of a threat. The Dinobots would have to tread carefully once they finally left engineering for the bridge.

The Dinobot Commander’s next focus was checking the ship for any more bombs or other assorted sabotage. There likely were none, but he just wanted to be sure. With a mere thought, the security system ran an advanced diagnostic program that quickly searched out any anomalies anywhere on board. Nothing internal or external was discovered as Grimlock had figured. The Decepticon spy had been stopped before he could cause any more damage to the Trion.

With that out of the way, Grimlock turned his attention to the outer video feeds, walking towards one of the “windows” and touching it with his hand. The image quickly expanded and completely surrounded the Dinobot Commander in a new virtual simulation. It was as if he was now the vessel, itself, looking forward towards the exit of the shipyards. Clearly there was a video sensor mounted on the front of the Trion. That sensor and Grimlock’s own optics were now one. The sensation was utterly incredible. The rex-former observed as the warship crossed the threshold and left the station, entering outer space. Finally, they were free of the Alpha Shipyards.

Time to get going then, Grimlock thought as he concentrated, the virtual reality shrinking back down into a small “window” and returning the Dinobot leader to the main security hub where all of the other images surrounded him once more. With another mere thought, Grimlock found himself back in his own body, peering down at his hands as he withdrew them from the interface ports.

“Utterly incredible! This ship become part of you. Cons not stand chance against us now!” Grimlock exclaimed as he turned his attention back to the Dinobot pilot. “Me see that we out of shipyards, Swoop. Set course for Sol-3 and take us to transwarp ASAP!”

Guard duty. Pfeh. The Dinobot Desert Warrior wasn't the least bit thrilled about being given guard duty, but he hadn't complained too loudly. Sluggishly, he took his post and looked around. The oversized Autobot didn't really see what there was to guard at this point. There had been that glitched little saboteur and Grimlock took all the fun of dealing with him. Now what? Pleasure cruise?

Nah. Now, finally, they had this slagging ship. Now it was time to get back into the war, the only place Snarl really felt comfortable anyway.

And the ship was moving. Snarl heaved a quiet sigh. It wouldn't be long now. If he could just-

>>"Uh, hey guys. This is Cloudburst. Just wanted to do a little check in, see how the ship's doing, you know? Everything look good? No more saboteurs? Ha ha. Just let me know when you guys are gonna re-dock."<<

Snarl couldn't help but smirk at that transmission. Poor glitches were about to be in for a bit of a surprise. Heh.

Grimlock paced back and forth along the main deck of engineering waiting for the transwarp drive to be initiated. They had come so far and achieved exactly what they had set out to do and now it was finally time to get the frag away from the Alpha Shipyards and back to the Sol System where the Dinobots would all be hailed as heroes for bringing the super advanced Trion back with them to help eradicate the Decepticon menace once and for all. Of course, those like Prowl would see them as thieves with an absolute disregard for the chain of command. That last part was true, but narrow-minded mechs like the military strategist would soon come to realize that this war would only be won if the Autobots were willing to take the necessary risks and not play it safe all of the time. Surely, Prowl would understand that logic considering all of the secrets he must currently keep even from those with authority over himself.

Me sure prick-bot make some questionable choices during war, the Dinobot Commander thought inwardly to himself as he continued to pace with his hands cupped together behind his back. Then came the sound of a vocalizer that Grimlock did not want to hear again, at least not until his crew was far away from Cas Coller.

>>"Uh, hey guys. This is Cloudburst. Just wanted to do a little check in, see how the ship's doing, you know? Everything look good? No more saboteurs? Ha ha. Just let me know when you guys are gonna re-dock."<<

Terrific. Ol’ Cloudbutt wanted to know how things were going and when they were going to re-dock the ship. For the briefest of moments, Grimlock actually considered telling him the truth just to see what the flier’s reaction would be. However, they weren’t safely away from the shipyards just yet. The last thing the Dinobot Commander needed was for a security team to try and board the Trion, which would ultimately lead to a fight breaking out. No, that would just not do. Sure, the Dinobots could easily handle Kick-Off and whatever Autotroopers he brought along with him, but energon-shed of fellow Autobots was not an option here and something to avoid at all costs. Grimlock wanted a clean getaway, nothing less.

The Dinobot leader stopped in his tracks and reluctantly opened a comm line back to the space defense expert:

>>”Cloudburst, we still checking ship for more bombs. Ship big so will take some time. Will re-dock once everything clear. Until then, just stay away from vessel for own safety.”<<

Cutting his comm line, Grimlock hoped what he said would be enough to buy them a little more time. Still, it wouldn’t last forever. The Dinobots had more than overstayed their welcome and needed to get the Trion into transwarp as soon as possible. “Swoop! What taking so long?! Is there problem with ship?” Grimlock asked as he turned and walked over to the Dinobot pilot. The rex-former placed a firm hand on the bombardier’s shoulder plate. “If not, get us out of here and into transwarp NOW before Countdown and Cloudbutt figure out what’s going on!!”

Swoop had managed to pilot the ship out into the safety of open space he was distracted by the various options for manoeuvring and combat manoeuvres. He was so immersed in the mindscape that he was surprised when Grimlock placed his huge hand on his shoulder.

"Swoop! What taking so long?! Is there problem with ship? If not, get us out of here and into Transwarp NOW before Countdown and Cloudbutt figure out what’s going on!!"

Swoop shook his head "nope nothing wrong with the ship but if you don't want to open a Transwarp rift in the middle of the docks and do alot worse damage than that bomb I had to get a safe distance. Plus I was getting acquainted with the new ship's capabilities"

Within the mindscape he found the transwarp generators they where nicely warmed up "Ok hold on to Everything here we go" Swoop entered the final co-ordinates into the nav computer and hit the switch.

The huge ship plunged energy into the space in front of the prow the aperture grew larger like a pit no it looked like an abyss and the Trion was on the edge of it. Energy coursed from the hull as the ship past through the gateway into Transwarp seconds after the ship entered the gateway closed as quickly as it opened

Swoop disengaged the link and looked at Grimlock with a crooked grin on his face
"Well that went smoothly as ever, can I go make myself comfortable on the bridge?"

Grimlock felt relieved when Swoop informed him that there was nothing wrong with the ship. The flying Dinobot was just making sure everything was in order and that they were at a safe enough distance from the shipyards before going to warp. Not to mention Swoop was still getting himself acquainted with the Trion’s advanced capabilities.

“Glad to hear it,” the Dinobot Commander replied as Swoop entered the co-ordinates for the Sol System into the navigational computer and quickly initiated the transwarp jump. A huge wormhole opened directly in front of the Autobot warship which then easily crossed the threshold, disappearing from sight and from whatever sensors Cas Coller had trained on it. The vortex closed behind them and the Dinobots, along with their massive prize, were on their way back to Sol-3.

“Good job, Swoop,” Grimlock commended the bombardier, patting him on the shoulder plate as the pilot asked if he could now head up to the bridge. “We all can,” the Dinobot Commander replied before turning to address the rest of his unit. “Dinobots, me want to say good job to all, as well! We finally do it! The Trion is ours and we’ll be back to fighting ‘Cons soon. Now, let’s all head up to bridge. Once there, we secure it. Remember, there are stragglers left on board so be on guard. Although, me not think we encounter any problems we can’t handle. Now, let’s go!”

Wasting no further time, Grimlock proceeded to the door that Sludge had been guarding and exited the engineering deck, heading directly for the bridge.

The Trion - Bridge

The trek to the bridge had been an uneventful one. Along the way, Grimlock had encountered several mechs, most of whom were just typical maintenance 'bots that simply stepped out of the rex-former's way. Other more curious individuals attempted to ask the Dinobot Commander why they had left the shipyards before the originally planned maiden voyage or if the reports of sabotage were true. Grimlock paid them no mind and kept right on walking, only offering up a “change of plans” or "that's classified" excuse to the few Autobots that were the most persistent in their questioning. Thankfully, none had offered any physical resistance. Who in their right processor would even think of getting physical with a Dinobot, anyway?

After traversing a series of long corridors and ascending through the ship via a turbo lift, Grimlock and his Dinobots finally reached their destination. The double doors to the bridge parted down the center, allowing the rex-former and his prehistoric subordinates to enter into the empty chamber. “Dinobots, get to your stations. Swoop, man the helm. Keep us on course. Slag, weapons systems is yours. Keep lookout for any ships that may try follow us. Snarl, take security. First lock down bridge then monitor all activity on ship. Sludge, um, just sit somewhere and don’t break anything.”

With his orders given, Grimlock made his way to the captain’s chair and took a seat, placing his large hands onto the arm rests. The warship was theirs and this chair now belonged to the Dinobot Commander. Razorclaw had the Thanatos and now Grimlock had the Trion. Needless to say, he was very much looking forward to destroying the Predacon battle cruiser the first chance he got. Until then, Grimlock sat back in his chair and watched the various stars on the primary forward display screen wiz by them like tiny streaks of light. Soon, the Dinobots would be back on the front lines where they belonged.

Soon the Decepticons would know the true meaning of defeat.

Pretty much everyone had got clear of the ship. Cloudburst was going over a head count of the ship's maintenance roster now. Everything was pretty much back in order. Once the ship re-docked, they could do a final security sweep and then get this beauty of a ship ready for its maiden voyage and, more importantly, get it on the front lines of the war where it belonged.

>>"Cloudburst, we still checking ship for more bombs. Ship big so will take some time. Will re-dock once everything clear. Until then, just stay away from vessel for own safety."<<

Cloudburst nodded silently, even though there was no one around watching him. He supposed that made sense. If any group in the Autobot ranks could withstand the ill-effects of whatever some saboteur might throw at them, it would be the Dinobots. He supposed there was no real harm in letting the Dinobots finish their work. He didn't really have another option available to him anyway.

>>"Copy that, Commander. Looking forward to seeing your results,"<< he had transmitted back, as cordially as he could, as he brought up a video feed of the ship. It really was a beauty. He would be glad when they could finally get-

-and then the ship was gone. Transwarp. Poof.

Ohhhhh. Uh oh.

Cloudburst stared at the screen for another few astroseconds before cautiously reaching over to direct-comm the command center--and Countdown. His digits nervously fumbled over some of the buttons until he at last got the right connection.

>>"Um......hey! Sir. Slight problem..."<<

Swoop was glad that the ship was working at optimum levels he monitored the transwarp engines for a few minutes longer before he emerged from the mind link. He took the precaution of locking down the engineering controls before he left. Exiting the Engineering section he headed for the bridge

Trion-Bridge

The doors to the bridge opened the bombardier strode through looking at the newly finished bridge. "Wonder if these panels explode when the ship's damaged?" the smallest of the Dinobots muttered as he past Grimlock heading for the helm controls. Instead of Jacking in this time Swoop sat in the helm chair and manually monitor the Trion's course, sensor's and various other things.
