Chances for G1 Scorponok reissue?

After Fort Max has been confirmed to be reissued, is anything possible when it comes to reissued figures? I just want some opinions, as I am contemplating buying a G1 Scorponok, but if it will be most likely reissued for a more reasonable price than an original, I think I will hold out.

Also, to those of you who have both Scorponok and the recently released Xovergen Trailerforce, how do they look next to each other in robot mode?

I don't really have much to base this on, but if I had to guess, my guess would be that if G1 Scorponok gets a reissue, it will be a Japan-only Takara release and will cost $100 or more to get in the U.S. I would say the chances of a Hasbro reissue are slim to none.

If this is something you want, get it now; don't wait for a reissue that probably isn't coming.

I agree, although I'm really really really hoping for a reissue. Why? I want to own a Black Zarak that won't fall apart on me!

Well, given Hasbro took the time to keep the trademark on 'Scorponok' last year, it's possible they have plans to get a figure of him out somewhere. They won't be reissuing the G1 toy, but they might be planning a new mold for Generations given their current plans to tie figures in with IDW comics.

I dont see why not, Rod.
Having said that, has the asking price for Fort dropped significantly since the reissue was announced? If it has, it may be worth waiting.

While I know you don't need to be told ... shop around. Keep an eye out for a good price. Try to get him complete.

I grabbed a Scorponok with Zarak, missing most other pieces. I was happy with that because I thought it would be a fun project tracking down all the parts.

Well ... that was a stupid idea as finding parts for him are not only difficult, they're also expensive. I'm currently missing one of the orange hand guns off his little buddy because last I checked they were going for around $30.

Yeah ... $30 for a little plastic gun that's about an inch long.

I'd rather have an Energion Scorponok.

What's a sacrelegde? Is that some method of cooking animals limbs I don't know about?

It'd be nice. With Fort Max we've now got all three G1 city-formers, at least the ones released in the US, having reissues. So Scorpy and Trypticon need it too, IMO.

A Black Zarak reissue would be awesome! I've always wanted him but the GPS problem is just to big to ignore. :-(

I also rather see Energon Skorps in G1 colours.

Without going ahead of myself, if indeed Megazarak is going to receive an Encore treatment, well, I'll wait for him first. As for Blackzarak, maybe Tomy will just opt to paint some parts gold. I'd settle for that too.

Seconded. That is a great mold.

Plus I already own G1 Megazarak, I'm not to psyched about a reissue. Eventhough every G1 fan should own one and a reissue is the way to do it.

Same here. It would look sweet next to my Energon Skorps and TFCC DoublePunch (AKA DonkeyPunch).

been too long now, but I'd love E-Skorps in G1 colourscheme too. I don't have the original, or Cybertron Black Zarak homage, but was lucky enough to get Botcon DonkeyPunch (thanks, Guy) recently and it's a great fun mold.
