What differences are there between Classics Starscream 1.0. and 2.0?

V1 has thick red lines running across his wings and fuselage. Standard blue hands feet etc and a few other paint apps I couldn't care less about
V2 is the G1 Homage.
Have you had a look through the toy galleries?

When he says red, he means orange. The first version has almost G1 colours but in the wrong pattersn, the second is very G1.

Ah, yes, that's right Mykltron. I've had him in storage for a while now, I've forgotten how atrocious he looks.
V2 also had the dark blue of the toy, not the light blue of the cartoon

There's also the Henkei version which is most G1 accurate (no orange there) and most expensive. I have the Henkei version as well as the V2 version. I applied a couple coats of clear red paint to the orange bits on the V2 version to eliminate the orangeness of it and it looks great.

Such hate for v2. Personally, I like it. It looks more G1. To me, that's always good.

I think xyl360 was referring to the first version of Screamer released. I know i dislike that one. The G1 Homage is a solid ;)^

I was referring to this one as the one which I painted the orange bits red.

The Henkei one I referred to is the second one listed under "Variations" on this page.

Yeah, I much prefer the Universe paintjob of Starscream. After looking at the pictures posted above, the Henkei and Classics just has too much red.

My Universe Starscream's red paint doesn't look orange. Maybe I just lucked out with that.

I've all 4 versions if you include Ghost SS. I bought Hasbro V1 first, then Hasbro V2 as I think he's closer to the G1 look (wing decals etc). But IMO Takara Henkei version blows both out of the water. He looks so much better when lined up beside both the Hasbro versions.

The original Classics version was nice for it's creativity and real world jet mode paint scheme. But his face wasn't painted, his red was a bit on the orange side, and his gray a bit blue.

Henkei was up next and got pretty much everything right. Great gray color, painted face, nice red, light blue parts, and extra detailing. The only negative to me is the chrome (I like chrome, just not on the launchers).

Universe is a poor man's Henkei in my opinion. It uses the same paint masks but eliminates a good portion of them. Coupled withe the off white, overly bright red, and dark blue - it just doesn't work as well. Besides the face, I still prefer the Classics version to this one.

Ghost is nice if you like that. The clear purple plastic is cool.

Now we have the Classics Seeker set version coming up as well, which is the most cartoon accurate of them all. The only thing it doesn't have right are the knees. It's very similar to the Henkei just with less white detailing and some other changes here and there.

I wasn't aware that they made a second version of the Henkei SS.

Anyone got a picture of the two to compare them?
