Depends on whether it's the cartoon that was important to you. There's a lot of people who focus on "toon accuracy", despite the fact that not only were the cartoon models heavily simpified (have you ever noticed how Punch and Counterpunch switch forms?), but often a single character had a dozen different way of drawing him (try and find a definitive reference for Devastator's face
).
But there are also those of us who use the toys as our primary point of reference. After all, when it comes down to it, the toys are the crux of it all (the cartoon was designed to sell the toys, not the other way round).
And there are those of us that like to take what the originals have done and try to improve on them... make them what we think they
should have been.
Personally, I agree with everything Tramp said in his previous post 100% (yeah, I actually said that
). Though he was usually shown with the wings on his legs, they'd look a lot better, both aesthetically and practically, if they were on his back.
