I have to correct you on one aspect..Ginrai and Minerva are technically cyborgs. Human with machine parts. 8-}
In Suit Mode, aside form their heads, they no longer have any organic components in their bodies, with their robotic armor suits literally becoming their actual bodies. So, they'd qualify more as "androids" or "artificial humans" ("jinzo ningen" for you DBZ fans) than cyborgs.

Though, combine them with their Transtectors and you got full blown Super Robot Lifeforms ("chou roboto seimeitai") with human souls. ;)

At what point is this established? The cyborg-part, I mean. I'm not bing a wise-ass about it, I'm just curious. I always thought that they wher people in suits. Integrated with each other, but suits.

The episode that Shūta, Cab, and Minerva got their Masterbraces. Upon entering Suit Mode, they tested out their bodies and found that they now possessed extraordinary abilities beyond normal human capability. Their bodies were now robotic, but could go back to being organic whenever they returned to regular human form. That's the magic of Chōkon Power. ;)

@ Rated X

As stated by your posts. It's your personal hang up that this type of figure is a doll. Not them Floridians but your own personal view/prejudice/taste. Okay, we get it.

You have inserted your view like every time the post was updated by Blurzz. We get it. You don't like human looking figures. Not your "neighbors". You. So........ get over it!Quit trolling/spamming/flame baiting!

We hear your views, it does not mean we should all accept it. It's kind of getting tired that I created another thread for you to ventilate your concerns. Just leave this thread alone unless you have another topic to contribute.

Btw, I also posted a pic of Minerva at another anime figure related site where I am a member and posted a question if this figure was anywhere ero to their taste. There were like 5 women members(confirmed women) who so nothing closely erotic or creepy about Minerva's figure. Now Revoltech's Queen's blade figure........that's another matter.

Heck even my granny doesn't see her any more ero as your friendly neighborhood Spiderman in his skin tight, muscle marking spandex outfit.

So QUIT IT! You mentioned you have drawn the line.....OKAY, line drawn!

Now, let's get back and talk about when the item will be released. :HEADHURTS:

Now now, as much as I do like being zealous about the news, the true men of the hour in regards to it are El Duque, and GRR. I'm far past my Prime ;)

And honestly, let's just move along here. When it comes down to it, these are all toys. And we don't need to stress or lose sleep over what other people think about toys. Forums are meant to spread our appreciation and enjoyment of our hobbies, not for us to poke swords at each other. Let's keep it easy boys.

Sorry about that, credit where credit is due.

El Duque and GetRightRobot were the ones who most often updated this thread. For which I am eternally thankful (and sorry for not giving right credit)

Anyway, if I sound like a broken record.................I just can't wait for a final/confirmed release date.

CM's Corp have provided yet another update for their upcoming Gutto Kuru Figure Ginrai figure. As you can see the figure features multiple heads and sets of hands. Also pictured is their Gutto Kuru Figure Minerva figure who is scheduled for release in July. Images mirrored below.

I just noticed something. How articulate are Ginrai's legs? In all these images, his legs are barely repositioned from his standard pose. Can his knees even bend at all?

These are all very nice, but having never followed the Japanese headmasters, I'm not drawn to them like other figures.

Looking at the shots of the back of the figure, his knees appear to have a double joint... why they didn't detail this is anyone's guess, but it certainly does appear to be movable.

I think they are. Shame the link in the news item is off by one letter (the h in http://). Here's the real link:

5 faces and they cant give you one without that corny hairpiece sticking over his forehead ??? Cartoon accurate or not, it's just plain annoying like the pointy hair on Alphalpha or those 2 puff balls on Archie's head.

I must admit the Minerva doll is growing on me. It might be the first and only doll I ever buy. I wont even try to sugarcoat it. It is what it is.

Give it a rest already with the doll nonsense. If it doesn't have any soft material and/or removable clothing, it ain't a doll. The word "figure" is even in the product's name for crying out loud.

In fact, I dare you to try cuddling with these without hurting youself (and without being careful, mind you).

I got nothing but respect for you my friend. But in my "culture" it is considered a doll. Some collectors might be in denial and try to create a new category for the pieces that sounds more "acceptable to guys". But at the end of the day it's still a doll. Just like the 1972 GI Joe nurse doll that they tried to pass off as an "action figure" to sell to boys. (and failed miserably) And I might just buy Minerva, but I wont sugarcoat the truth. ;)

You know what, if this stupid discussion about what is a doll and what's an action figure starts up again I will blindly issue warnings to anyone involved, no matter which side they're on or how they phrase their post.

Knowing how the Japanese market ensures the impetus to purchase the variant, I wonder how much the Minerva "Nightbeat" version will cost?

And hopefully Ginrai won't be more expensive than Minerva.

Oh, if only he looked more like Patrick Stewart. Then he'd also be Professor X in addition to Captain Picard.

Though, "as a Powermaster", not "Headmaster". :-B

Though, it being a Headmaster would make it all the more perfect, as you say it looks like Picard, who was played by Patrick Stewart, who also played Charles Xavier, who was also the "Headmaster" of the Xavier Institute (A.K.A. the X-Mansion) in the X-Men fiction. It all comes full circle. :-B :-B :-B
