*sigh* Whelp, that pic of "Jazz" sealed it for me. I'm not getting a single one of these guys. I can't believe that's supposed to be Jazz. He looks like he's got a cross between the head of a bat and an S type Valkyrie.

Also, Prime has an elongated head again. :?

Weapon: Dual Impact Maces
Its amazing how much an ugly head can ruin a figure. If I take my thumb and cover up bumblebees' head, barricade's head or brawl's head, I actually really like the figures. Otherwise, not so much.

I still like megs though. Ops is cool but if the smaller one is just as cool, I'll save myself some cash. Jazz looks pretty good though.

TFs have metal frames that everything is attached to it, much like bones. So in theory he could just be a big robot that mashes frames or Bonecrusher just sounds cool.

Are you defending Bay? Heathen!!!! You should be stoned at dawn for that!!!

lol

*ahem*

I was defending the nonsensical names used, repeatedly, in some cases, so that the TF franchise doesn't seem so stupid.

Well, Bonecrusher sounds better than Chasiscrusher, Framecrusher, or Hullcrusher. :-P

see what Im not getting is how can you judge a toy if you never got to play with it. seibs got to play with starscream and said it rocks so it goes to show you these will rock and prime is "fat" because he is electronic and has "advanced" automorph tech.

The more I see of Bumblebee the more I like it.
Somehow his robotmode puts me many years back in time... say about 20 years back!
I like it!

I really like the look of Jazz. It seems to me that he may be the diamond in the rough... (Damn you Disneys Aladdin)

I don't know why, but I really like Megatron. Seriously, usually I'm so anti the Transtech look but this is really growing on me. Optimus Prime looks alright but the chest seems very square. You can kinda make out how his Automorph will work by looking at the chest.

All in all I think this movie will be good, and the toys look promising, to a degree.

Here's a question for everyone. If these guys are wave one and Bonecrusher, Ironhide and '09 BB are wave two, along with Scorpinok, Blackout, Ratchet and an Eartmode Megatron who might be in wave three? Are we going to get none Movie movie toys like we got not show Cybertron toys? I know that there are tons of merch figures like the potato head prime and the beatmix BB and stuff like that, but will there be a continued main line for movie figures? If the line doesn't do as well there would be a good chance of seeing Alternators and Classics brought back to the table.

Well you forgot Ironhide, Scorp, and Frenzy but I imagine there will be different versions of the same characters with mold change.

Megatron freaks me out, too strange, feels like he's going to come alive and scare me at night, I don't want him or Starscream, he's amazing but too ugly, it's sucks so bad, it makes me cry, I know I'm wierd. Anyway, I do want Optimus Prime, Brawl, Barricade, and Jazz, maybe Bumblebee, they're neat looking, can't wait to get my hands on those, :)

Prime just looks stubby because of the angle of the pic, but I'm still not sold on his head...

Megatron looks better, glad he's got some paint detail - but then again, these are Hasbro's stock photos which are so incredibly misleading... The realy figures could be painted over entirely green and the official photos would still make them look super-detailed. I'll wait till I see pics of the ACTUAL figures...

One thing that bugs me is sticking Brawl as a deluxe... where the hell is the logic in that? When was the last time you saw an M-1 army tank that was the same size as a pontiac Solstice? Hasbro probably thought a bigger version wouldn't sell, since Brawl is a lesser character in the film...

I'm psyched about Jazz though, he looks gorgeous.

Yes, I hope the actual toy in person look just as nice in detail, sometimes it's the opposite thoug, the pics look awful, but the toy is better? Who knows.

I understand why people can be upset with these designs, but I appreciate for what they are, just for the movie. I'm not crazy about Megatron or Starscream, and I just chose not to buy them. That's easier for me to deal, to each their own. If you don't like them, just don't buy them. Much too late to change anything now.

I think the problem a lot of people have is that these movie characters are meant to represent their G1 counterparts, where applicable, & yet most of the designs seen so far look nothing like who they represent, & those that do are really stretching it. I mean honestly, have you heard anybody complain about Blackout? hell, I think he's awsome myself, but Megs....he's supposed to be representing ol' Nazi handgun, & looks nothing like him, save the fact that he's gray. On their own, these designs are pretty neat, & I really think Hasbro did a good job of coming up with designs that are "blocky" enough to satisfy die-hard fans...except maybe Beast Warrior(no offense, dude, everybody's entitled to their opinion)....but as representatives of G1, they fail miserably.

.....& I'll probably get at least 1 version of every last one of them.

Prime looks Awesome and Megs looks evil. While Megs is cetainly a departure from what we are used to, I think I can accept it for what it is. The alt mode is very cool.

Wow. Jazz looks more like a modern TF than the others. They all look gret, even Megatron. Megatron may have a fugly mug, but he looks more like a maniacal destroyer of worlds now.

For what it's worth (I didn't read all five pages of posts, so I doubt anyone will pay attention to my post), I think there's a bit of poor perspective on Prime's portrait. In the prototype pictures, his legs definitely looked larger and, if a little bulky, proportionate to the rest of his body. This picture looks like it was taken looking slightly down at Prime, so his legs look smaller.

Otherwise, I honestly can't believe how much I like these. I've been an advocate for the movie Transformers since the beginning, and I'm still impressed. Bumblebee and Jazz look great, I suspect Optimus Prime and Megatron look better in person than they do in those portraits. The only complaint I really have from these pictures is that it's obvious Barricade and Jazz don't have hands per se. Rather, they're relief sculptures on the ends of their arms. That's a little shabby I think. But Bumblebee's got some fully formed mitts, and he looks way better than I imagined.
