Combining TFCC Nexus Prime with FP Flameblast and Warcry - Has anyone done this?

Postby xyl360 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:59 am

I have been pondering this since I first saw the color schemes for Flameblast and Warcry, and I was thinking that perhaps they were actually originally created to combine with the TFCC Nexus Prime, but at some point FP changed their minds (perhaps due to the limited availability of the exclusives) so they covered the connector ports and didn't include the combiner parts.

In theory, you can expose the connector ports again and use the combiner parts from Munitioner and Explorer to merge Flameblast and Warcry with the TFCC set, and this is what I'm contemplating doing (although it will be quite costly to get Munitioner and Explorer these days) but before I gouge my bank account, I wanted to see if anyone else has done this yet, and if so, I'd like to know how it turned out (with pics if you can).

Is this kind pf what you are asking? I don't see why it wouldn't work with the club's version.

This might be wrong.. but whatever. at the price these things are NOW, and since FP seem's to not want money or to reissue these, OR parts, where the hell are the KO versions of these or just the add on pieces.

Dr. Wu should get to work.

Yep, that's basically what I was thinking of. Thanks :)!

I bought everything I needed (don't ask how much it cost :P). Now I'm deciding on whether or not I'm going to do any painting of the parts and/or Flameblast/Warcry. I'll have to wait until I have everything in hand to make the final decision on paint apps though, and see them all combined with 0 modifications first.

Swindle and Blast-Off are currently sitting on Kapow Toys for more than double what it'll cost you for Red Swindle and White Blast-Off.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Ratchet, Prowl, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Skywarp, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Blurr, Perceptor, Wheelie or 3rd Party Arcee, Springer, City Commander (and Ultra Magnus), Starscream (deluxe) Coronation add-on, or Spike and Daniel in their Exo-Suits.

Yep, I got them MISB from ebay for about the same price (once converted to USD).

This is going to be a very costly custom, but I've had it on the back of my brain since I first saw these repaints from FP.

Right, which is why I had to buy the originals (Munitioner and Explorer) for their high price. I bought Flameblast and Warcry from BBTS as they still had them instock and reasonably priced. Getting a complete TFCC Nexus Prime was about the same price as Munitioner and Explorer cost me.

In total, I've spent almost as much as Hercules to do this. It may not be worth it in the end, but I still think that after some custom paint on my part, it's going to turn out to be a pretty awesome and unique combiner.
